The Legonater Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Not Twi'Leks, but Nelvaanians. (They don't have lekku...) Well, since he said in the Senate, I'm thinking Pandorans (Who, mind you, also don't have lekku) Quote
brickbuilder Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Well, since he said in the Senate, I'm thinking Pandorans (Who, mind you, also don't have lekku) Maybe because they are from Pandora! Quote
Cad Bane Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Well, since he said in the Senate, I'm thinking Pandorans (Who, mind you, also don't have lekku) Actually, they're Pantorans from Pantora, where as in Avatar, they are Pandorans from Pandora. These are hilarious comics by the way guys, great ideas and keep up the amazing work. I always get a good laugh when I check this topic. Great Job! Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 6, 2011 Author Posted March 6, 2011 Wow, I haven't posted one in a while. Well, why not make fun of some old-timey figures some more (although this one is still applicable today, sadly). Chestless Han (I noticed I made an anachronistic error in the above comic. Can you spot it?) Quote

blksuperman2 Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I rant'd and complained when Aayla was first introduced that she didn't have blue hands so I finally got a Watto. Yay The rest are just a day in the life of Anakin Skywalker. Quote
Fallenangel Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Actually, they're Pantorans from Pantora, where as in Avatar, they are Pandorans from Pandora. Pantorans aren't real Star Wars aliens, they're Lucas and his kids with blue makeup and funny clothing. And they don't have the pointed ears that both the Nelvaanians and the Na'vi have. Chestless Han Speak for yourself, Leia... At least it's better than Savage Oppress... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Great job, everyone. Nice to see a new one from you, Cloney. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I rant'd and complained when Aayla was first introduced that she didn't have blue hands so I finally got a Watto. Yay I couldn't agree more, they should have given her those medium blue hands right from the very start. Quote
Peanuts Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I rant'd and complained when Aayla was first introduced that she didn't have blue hands so I finally got a Watto. Yay The rest are just a day in the life of Anakin Skywalker. Great ones I'm just wondering why you take Watto the hands and give them to TCW Aayla... Based on the TCW faces and that Dooku has the same hair as the S2 vampire: Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I'm just wondering why you take Watto the hands and give them to TCW Aayla... Like what I pointed out above, the Aayla minifig should've had medium blue hands right from the very start, as she has bare hands and doesn't wear any grey gloves. AFAIK, only the Watto fig has the medium blue hands among all released minifigs. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 6, 2011 Author Posted March 6, 2011 Based on the TCW faces and that Dooku has the same hair as the S2 vampire: Not only that, but Christopher Lee (who played the live-action Dooku) played Dracula and other assorted vampires in several films. Nice one! Here's another one about something odd in the first wave of Episode I sets… In the Hood And I suppose LEGO really thinks young Obi-Wan in a hood is iconic, since only once out of the four sets he will have been in this summer has he had hair. Oky Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Thanks everyone. I love your Aayla Secura/Avatar one, Oky Wan Kenobi! I have a question though: Did you intentionally give Aayla her accent? Because in Season I episodes "Jedi Crash" and "Defenders of Peace", she talks with that accent. If you intentionally did that, Good Job! Yes, that was intentional. This and JD's latest whack entry gave me an idea: This also explains Kit Fisto's famous smile. Quote
Fives Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Nice work Oky! Absolutely great! Fisto looks pretty mellow there. Quote
JimBee Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Good one Oky, though I don't get Jar Jar's... what's his stereotype supposed to be? Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 That's just epic Oky! Indeed, the CW series giving distinct accents on the jedi aliens are kinda ridiculous. Simply love that Fisto Rasta Man! Quote
Fallenangel Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 This and JD's latest whack entry gave me an idea: [snip] Great! Now you just need Gunray (Japanese), Watto (he's middle Eastern or something, can't remember), Clone Wars Kit Fisto (English) and Ahsoka (American ). I think Plo Koon had an accent as well but I can't remember what it was. Quote
Jar Jar Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Very nice, Oky! Now I imagine Shaak Ti dressed up like the Series 2 Mariachi figure! Quote
Artanis I Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Great! Now you just need Gunray (Japanese), Watto (he's middle Eastern or something, can't remember), Clone Wars Kit Fisto (English) and Ahsoka (American ). I think Plo Koon had an accent as well but I can't remember what it was. Kit Fisto is Caribbean - you probably meant someone else, I'd say Ki Adi Mundi. Watto: I thought he was Italian. "Hey Ani, you wanna spinna the pizza?" But yes, Neimoidians definitely sound Japanese (apart from one in The Clone Wars), and Mace Windu, Anakin & Ahsoka are American. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 Plo Koon isn't anything in particular, just kind of garbled and stentorian sounding. He's basically American-sounding, though. Quote

Never mind... In Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series Kit Fisto has been voiced by Phil LaMarr. His voice was inspired by the voice of "the 7-UP guy" from its television commercials.[22] LaMarr voices the character with a Jamaican accent, even though in Clone Wars Chapter 21, the first source in which Fisto speaks, the character has an American accent. And in Sith and the Neo-Clone Wars, Grievous is Russian: In the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series, the character was voiced by John William DiMaggio ("Chapter 20") and Richard McGonagle (Chapters 21-25); for Revenge of the Sith, the Revenge of the Sith video game, and Star Wars: Battlefront II, he was voiced by Matthew Wood. With Wood's portrayal, Grievous has a stereotypical heavy Russian accent. Wood was also inspired by Béla Lugosi's acting.[66] I feel sorry for Filoni; he respects the Expanded Universe but is forced by Lucas to destroy it... Quote

Plo is American in Clones, Sith, and CW, but his actor is British in Ep. 1. Off topic: What is the one-word name for Ep. 1, any ways? Quote
