Clone OPatra Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 Plo is American in Clones, Sith, and CW, but his actor is British in Ep. 1. So what? Did we hear him speak, I don't think so. His voice has only ever been heard on CW, so that the only way to judge his "nationality." Quote
Artanis I Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 6:06 - "Well, he is a cunning warrior, and our best pilot." Never mind... I overlooked that scene, I only ever saw those once. Definitely not Jamaican or anything similar there, I'm not hearing much English-ness though. Brickdoctor: probably hyphenated "Jar-Jar" In TCW, Plo Koon strikes me as "American voice actor trying to do a British accent" Quote

RileyC Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Great! Now you just need Gunray (Japanese), Watto (he's middle Eastern or something, can't remember), Clone Wars Kit Fisto (English) and Ahsoka (American ). I think Plo Koon had an accent as well but I can't remember what it was. You could add in Jango Fett as Maori too. And probably Commanders as high class British people (I think they have that kinda sound). Great work Oky! Im loving the crispness of all the photos! It makes the comic so much funnier Quote
Lord Starkiller Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Lol, there are no funnies on thispage! Quote
Oky Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Thanks guys! And by all means, feel free to make a spin-off pic with any other stereotypes you can find! These were just the first ones that came to my mind, and I don't have Watto (I think he's supposed to be Jewish). Let's not let the discussion get too off-topic though. Quote
DarthR2-D2 Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 There are only white people in ANH. Cloudy City has black citizens. There are Asian and Black Rebel Pilots. Lando's copilot is Hispanic. Salacios Crumb is Jewish. And Darth Maul & Jar Jar are homosexuals. Thats all I know about. Quote
Praiter Yed Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 (edited) I've decided its time to go back to basics... Edited September 13, 2016 by Praiter Yed Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Hilarious, praiter yed, in a simple, no-effects, single brick sort of way. Quote
The Legonater Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 You could add in Jango Fett as Maori too. Nah, Jango and all the clones have a New Zealand accent. Quote
RileyC Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Nah, Jango and all the clones have a New Zealand accent. That's slightly Maori-ish (especially for young Boba and Jango). Trust me, I think Ive got this (look at my location). Quote
Fives Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Plo is American in Clones, Sith, and CW, but his actor is British in Ep. 1. Off topic: What is the one-word name for Ep. 1, any ways? I think the one-word name for Ep. 1 is Phantom, or at least that is what I call it. Quote
Peanuts Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I think the one-word name for Ep. 1 is Phantom, or at least that is what I call it. I'd say Menace, but I use it practically never, and if, I'd say "Star Wars episode one". I loved Praiter's, simply but funny. Here one more of mine, based on the fact that,...oh, well, you'll see. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I think the one-word name for Ep. 1 is Phantom, or at least that is what I call it. Funny, I was leaning towards Menace. Because Clones, Sith, Empire, and Jedi are all nouns, but 'Phantom' is in adjectival form in 'The Phantom Menace'. Oh well. Back to the funnies. Good one, Peanuts. Quote
chucker Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Funny, I was leaning towards Menace. Because Clones, Sith, Empire, and Jedi are all nouns, but 'Phantom' is in adjectival form in 'The Phantom Menace'. But what do we call Episode 4? Funny, I was leaning towards Menace. Because Clones, Sith, Empire, and Jedi are all nouns, but 'Phantom' is in adjectival form in 'The Phantom Menace'. But what do we call Episode 4? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 But what do we call Episode 4? Good ol' Star Wars. But anyways, this is off-topic. Quote
Led ZePPelin Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 In TCW, Plo Koon strikes me as "American voice actor trying to do a British accent" What the hell is a 'British accent'? Quote
