def Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I wanted to do a few making more humor out of the LEGO-ness of the minifigs... This punch line was hard to write, originally, I wanted something about taking after his mom, but I figured it would cause some sort of nerd-aneurysm and went with something else. Quote
Stardusty Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I don't get it. Since when is Luke a firebender? Same here. I think it's somehow connected to Ozai, but I guess that Palpatine would be better in that case (only if lighting is used). Quote

KotZ Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I thought Oky of all people would get it! Stardusty partly has it right. Mark Hamil played both Luke and Firelord Ozai in the animated series, but I guess the joke didn't come across well. And, def, that wasn't a laugh-out-loud funny, but like a subtle-snickering funny. That one was great. Makes you wonder what TLG was thinking when they made those figs. Quote

Stardusty Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) Here's my first one: General Grievous... by hrcywindu, on Flickr Hope you like it! @KingoftheZempk: Now I understand, but that still doesn't fits to the Luke's character. Well, it's nice to know what's the point. Thank you for explaining. EDIT: If you want to check out the MOC: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/265950 Edited April 27, 2011 by Stardusty Quote
Mr Man Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Stardusty I like the Grievous joke Why didn't TLC make a better or at least taller fig for the towering imposing General? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Nice job, both Stardusty and def! def, I think it would've been okay to do the 'mother' thing. I mean in order to pull off the funnies there are tons of inaccuracies in this topic. I think us nerds would be okay with it given the topic. Quote

Captain Bayonet Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Here's one from me. "I was under the impression that the new Clones were arriving from Spart-ii, not Spart-a." Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Not, bad Captain Bayonet. Picture's a bit large, though. Quote
Captain Bayonet Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Not, bad Captain Bayonet. Picture's a bit large, though. Thanks BrickDoctor! I was worried that no one would understand it, but apparently I was wrong. And yes, I realize that the picture is on the large side, but I couldn't make it any smaller without cutting out one of the Clones. Hopefully more to come! Keep the Brick Alive! ~Bayonet Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 And yes, I realize that the picture is on the large side, but I couldn't make it any smaller without cutting out one of the Clones. Hopefully more to come! Resize, resize. There are a number of tutorials on doing so here. Quote

You have inspired me to make my own Avatar cross-over with my brand new Zuko fig! Only fans will get this one: Fashion Trends - they always return, even in the galaxy far, far away. Clone OPatra Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 This may take some working out - it's really not worth it - its a GROANER... So I suppose Luke was a bit dyslexic and switched the 'e' and 'a' in 'danger.' That's pretty silly; I like it! I also just love your presentation. Quote
Fallenangel Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 So I suppose Luke was a bit dyslexic and switched the 'e' and 'a' in 'danger.' That's pretty silly; I like it! I also just love your presentation. It appears he was out of 'Luk'... Quote

Captain Bayonet Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Nice ones Oky, the recurring fashions one is the best. ~Bayonet Quote
The_Customizer Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Nice ones guys! I liked the Firebender one, only problem, the Fire Benders couldn't bend lightning, could they? I mean, if they could, they would be called Lightning Benders, right? Quote
Oky Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Only a select few can, including Iroh, Zuko, Azula, and Aang. And no, it's not called lightning bending, it's just a different form of firebending. Quote

Mr Man Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 That song did pop into my head when I was working on it - "DENGAR, DENGAR, HIGH VOLTAGE..." I thought that was the whole joke . Quote
