I would move the fuel car with the tractor first, and then head toward the danger zone.

But if we go to the danger zone, then I would ask Scruffy very nice if I can have my rifle back. :sweet:

*Austin becomes Major Steve Austin and manages to run all the way to the tanker*

I would vouch fer all of 'em if I could, but unfortunately I weren't there when ta others arrived, they left me behind ta run remember? Made me a might bit angry, but I'm over it now.

That said, instead of pointin' the guilty finger I'm in favour of movin' this here vehicle. I'll gladly fish my arm around for this mysterious metal thing but I very much doubt that will do any good.

How's about we braid this straw together inta some sort of rope ta yank it out! Huh? Anybody?

But were you with the others the whole time? You couldn't have been left too far behind when they took the handcar.

More importantly, something that everyone keeps forgetting, is that Ms. Thortan, according to the town records, has been dead for 30 years.

Maybe that's what she wants the town to think, or maybe that's what the town council wants everyone else to think. For the first reason, perhaps Miss (Mrs.?) Thornton doesn't want to be found.

So that leaves 2, 2, and 2 votes, tied again. I still strongly believe that we should go to the switch tower and test out the switch combo. It's the most obvious clue we have at the moment, and we could possibly come across the danger tracks. Why do we want to move the tanker again?

I've been wanting to test the switches ever since we found them, but nobody has agreed before now. So I say to the switches we go!

... But why can't we divide up, like last time? :sceptic:

Hmm..... I think we should try the switches, as, like Jim said, it's the only real clue we have right now.

I vote for checking the danger tracks but making Jethro check the "logger car" himself. If there's a town council member in our group, it's him. His still was the one that exploded and almost killed Bulldog and Austin. He was in the barn before me and could've set the bear trap and I'm willing to bet that he set that scorpion in Austin's sleeping bag. Running behind the handcar would've given him ample opportunity to sabotage us again using whatever may lay down the "danger side" of the tracks. But, we need to check that out. I think the key to moving the fuel tanker may be down that fork.

I agree with you, Grease, that the hay suggests that it was one of the people at the farm sabotaged the tanker. That leaves five (six, counting Scruffy) possibilities; Herman, Austin, Jeb, Jethro, and Bulldog... and I think I know who might have done it.

It's Jethro.

But before we do this, are we gonna go and check the "danger tracks"? That logging train might still be there, and it might be a steamer!

Interesting you're so eager to get there before we're done inspecting the tanker itself. That crazy guy Zepher is playing is right. You are a town council member...and a killer! :hmpf_bad: And to think I was going to let you play Dungeons & Dragon with me and Mark...

Yeah! Someone who believes me! Even though he thinks I'm being controlled by someone named Zepher. (I think he may be crazy.)

I find it hard to believe that Ms. Thornton has been hiding for 30 years. There's only one girl in town.

So, we've got this to think about. Jennifer probaly used Ms. Thorton's name to send you all mail. We know that Jennifer's now dead. Which means that she was either stowed away on the train, or still in town. But either way, she has to have a killer, and she has to have someone working with her.

So, currently, we're looking for...

Jennifer's Killer(s) who could also possibly be the town council.

Jennifer's helper, if there is one.

And, our bets for town council are... currently...

Killin' George

Jethro

Pete

So, what do we do with them, now that we think we know them?

Well, give Austin a carriage and suggest Jethro might've tried to kill him and that might just take care of itself... :sceptic:

Ay, ay, I ain't holdin' no grudges as long as they weren't intended. Even if they were, a man deserves proper justice. Besides, I'm no good with a carriage, you fellas remember the story...

But anyway, I'm ll in favour of Danger tracks actually. I have a feelin' this won't end until we find out what's beyond that point!

I vote going to the switch tower to test.

Although I think we should keep a group here... just incase. :look:

Hmm, interesting. While Jethro could have done all of these things, I still think that Bulldog stopped the train.

She doesn't have to be here in town. Maybe she wants everyone to believe she's dead. And even if she was here among us, she could be disguised as anyone.

If Herman is right, than Jethro could be the killer, even though Herman never accused him of this. And if I'm right, then the helper could be Bulldog.

So, what do we do with them, now that we think we know them?

Nothing. We don't know anything for sure yet, despite what some of us think. What I do think that we should do, though, is get a move on and go somewhere, before somebody else is murdered.

She doesn't have to be here in town. Maybe she wants everyone to believe she's dead. And even if she was here among us, she could be disguised as anyone.

Okay, 'fess up! Which one of you is really an old lady?!

Jennifer wanted us here for a reason and tried to tell us something while we were here. She's dead. Let's go figure out how to get the hell out of town. I guess the most logical thing to do might be test the switches.

As conductor and responsibility holder for the Emerald Express, I say we try the danger tracks. If they say danger, they are probbly perfectly safe, someone just put a danger sign there to keep us away. So I say we go to the danger tracks, but I want to ensure that everyone is with us the whole time. And I mean EVERYONE.

But the sign was switched... I believe the "danger" warning was just to scare us from finding something useful. However, in case there is something wrong with the tracks, I suggest we walk.

How do we know there's a logging car down there? *huh* Jethro said it but I don't remember when we were told about it.

Inside information? *huh* He is the killer!

:oh3:

I too vote we head for the "danger" tracks. I good value I have learn't through my experience of life and D&D is not to avoid danger, because it will get you in the end, but rather to tackle it head on , and thus overcome it. Therefore I think we should go overcome this "danger" before moving on. As we still don't really have a plan for anything else, perhaps something we find there will help us. I for one am keen to get my hands on that Johnson Rod, it seems to be of vital importance to our future survival. :sweet:

As for the all the bickering going on about who is to blame, I personally do not wish to blame anyone just yet. I say we remain vigilant, and wait until the killer makes a mistake; they all do in the end. In the meantime, I can tell you all about this epic D&D adventure I played a few weeks ago with some guys via video conferencing. It was amazing! I met them on this web forum and...

Attempts to pull out the metal object in the tanker are unsuccessful, even with a short-strawed rope that Austin weaves.

The group is rather split as to what to do next, but Eleanor has pursuaded the group to first visit the Switch Tower.

At the Switch Tower, the control system stands ready...

Damn it! I've been teased with starting towards those danger tracks for chapters now! We were right by them! Why would any of use listen to freakin' Eleanor at this point? Would you listen to me if I put a wedding dress on and constantly threatened and insulted everyone? :hmpf: :hmpf: :hmpf: :hmpf: :hmpf: I hate these switches. I refuse to participate. :cry_sad:

I'd like to put the switches in the positions outlined by the binary numbers found at the airstrip.

Please don't fret, Herman, if we don't come across the danger tracks on our way of testing the track combo, we'll check them out first thing after.

I'd like to put the switches in the positions outlined by the binary numbers found at the airstrip.

Which would be this:

Switch 1: On

Switch 2: On

Switch 3: Off

Switch 4: On

Switch 5: On

Switch 6: On

Switch 7: Off

I'd like to flip all of the switches to these positions.

Looks like someone is in dire need of a pacifier. :hmpf_bad:

I'm not the only one who wanted to sort these switches out, but I still have the gun, so that makes my word weight a bit more.

An irritated Herman insists upon going to the "Danger Tracks" next.

Max and Jim begin flipping the switches to the On/Off positions as the small green/red LED switch lights turn on/off as they watch the four large bulbs.

Switch 1: On - led light turns green

Switch 2: On - green

The first large bulb turns GREEN.

Switch 3: Off - red

Switch 4: On - green

The second large bulb turns GREEN.

Switch 5: On - green

Switch 6: On - green

The 3rd large bulb turns GREEN.

Switch 7: Off - red

A sizzling sound is heard just as the 7th switch is turned off, then the 4th large bulb pops. :oh:

All the lights to the system flicker for a moment, then the four large bulbs go dark. The small LED lights remain on.

There's no telling if the sequence was successful..

Blow it out your train, nut job.

Umm... oops. Well, at least that's better than nothing. I'd like to try to flip the seventh switch back on.

Blow it out your train, nut job.

Am I supposed to take that as an inappropriate comment?

The train on a wedding dress? *huh* You know?...
