Brickthing Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Also, Glatorian instructions. And another possible flying thing: 1 2 3 I love exploded instructions/views. I love this two, but the colour scheme screams Vamprah with too many colours. Try making it all black with tiny hint of a light secondary colour. Your Agori is roughly the same height as Telluris and MALUM, so I think it might be a little tall, although I have absolutely no problem with it. I suppose we can always have him crouching when we show him right? I compared him next to Raanu when I was making him, and taking Raanu's 90* knees, they're roughly the same height. No offense to the MOCists, but the MOCs aren't really feeling like sets. I mean sure, piece count is important, but what about new molds and recolours? Anyone here a god at Photoshop? That, and I think that all the new sets should be drawn, like what Antrozek did with that red/green thing. That way, new molds, recolours, and designs would be easier to create. The MOCs don't feel like sets because they look like photos, and that's the first place we've seen them. Once we finalise them and then take good photos and make box art, then people who see the box art first will be convinced. The best news is that non-BIONICLE Lego uses photos for box art, so we should be fine to make our own look authentic. MOCing gives a better idea of whether an idea will work in reality, whereas drawings allow for better new pieces to be conspired. What if we continued MOCing, but then photoshopped the recolours of parts and drew on the few new parts? It wouldn't be a masterpiece, but it would have the pros of both methods for designing the sets. I've made the legs of my vehicle, as well as most of the cockpit and the jet engine/arm cannon. Quote
Bfahome Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 PNG High-res Prelim Name comes from latin for "wheel" and "two". Feel free to "leak" it if you want. You're very good at that. Quote
The Dor Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 You're very good at that. Although tbh fooling people on BZP isn't really a massive feat xD Quote
Brickthing Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 You're very good at that. If it were real, we would have seen it at ToyFair or at least known of its existence by now. In addition, the image is clearly not of the professional quality one would expect from LEGO.Topic closed. Quote
The Dor Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 It's ok Brickthing. We still love you. :D So then things seem to be idling a bit. I'd get pics of my creations up but my camera thought it would be funny to not do that. Quote
Brickthing Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 (edited) It's ok Brickthing. We still love you. :DSo then things seem to be idling a bit. I'd get pics of my creations up but my camera thought it would be funny to not do that. I've made my Agori for my bigger vehicle, but I'm delaying my vehicle until when I receive my Bricklink order for some new parts, including 44 Oragne Mahri blades for around $3. Seriously, the Power Miner BIONICLE parts are so dirt cheap on Bricklink that it's awesome. I'll post pictures of my Agori soon. EDIT: Back I'm still looking for a name for him, but he is a non-regressed Zesk that roams the desert in his mech/vehicle, protecting Vorox and Zesk that get into trouble. He used to fight in the arena for food and vehicle repairs, but due to his vehicle's weaponry and ability to pick up and throw other vehicles, he was banned from the arena. Now he protects his brothers wherever he can, as well as many other desert wanderers that he has come to be good friends with. When he falls into the GS, he at first considers leaving the search part and using his vehicle to escape on his own, but his friendship with Antrozek's Glatorian and his respect for how Mata Nui saved Bara Magna from the Skall causes him to decide to stay with the team and help them all escape. He is armed with a blade and two machine guns, which also act as the keys and controls of his vehicle. Not sure what the machine guns shoot, but all his weaponry and his vehicle use pre-cataclysm technology. An idea that I've been thinking about is that he isn't part of the search party, but when the search party is attacked by Vorox, this guy comes to rescue the Vorox, thinking that they were the ones being hunted. The combined weight of his vehicle and the other vehicles that the team had (for desert transport while searching) causes the unstable to cave into a giant sinkhole that lets everyone fall into the GS part. Ehlekrebound Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Possible concept for an experiment that flies. One red eye, two propellers, and a tail that shoots out spears. A knob on the underside turns both propellers (I am quite pleased with this :3). I would have taken more pics, but the camera batteries ran out (I didn't charge them for long :\). That thing is one of the coolest flying gear robot things ive ever seen . Quote

Sounds pretty good except a non-regressed Zesk would look roughly the same, because apparently their physical differences are from the Great Beings tinkering. The only place I can think of that would have something like him would be inside the GS already. Although I could be wrong and it's only the Vorox the GB's messed with, in which case I like this guy. Also would he utilize new pieces for limbs and such? Because that build would never make it into a set. Quote
GRUMBLECAKES Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I'm still looking for a name for him, ... Errr... Azhar! Javid! Muaddib! Well, those sound good to me Quote
Tyranide Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Muaddib! Shai-Hulud then xD Well, I've at last returned to EB, and it's wonderful to see that somebody here got the same idea we here in Russia got last year. I still remember that we managed to fool people with our nice cute Grubzlas pic then. I'll see if I can find some of those characters - don't you think they'll be useful? Our project stopped after the first Glatorian catalogue leak, but we're not giving up... at least I can help you, not only write some epic. Quote

Also would he utilize new pieces for limbs and such? Because that build would never make it into a set. I was thinking that he could've been a Zesk that escaped the GB's tinkering, hence no tail, and his non-GB-primalness helped him to stay intelligent. Possibly him wanting revenge against the GBs for what they did to his brothers was one of his motives in the past, but now he has given up as he is fairly certain that the GBs have left BM. His helmet is the same because officially Vorox and Zesk helmets were always like they are, unless the GB tinkering made the helmets like that, in which case his original helmet got smashed in an arena battle so he got a new Zesk helmet as a replacement. Although it probably could be a new 2010 helmet that looks less primal. The limbs can be new posable 2-piece Agori scale limbs, that have pin sockets for armour such as the Nuparu Mahri ones. @Tyranide - The Grubzlas sound interesting, so I'd love to see them. If our project goes well in terms of canister sets, I reckon we could "leak" them as prelims before the real 2010 leaks. Someone on BZP fooled themselves with my picture, and the canisters only need to be blurry thumbnails! It would also be fun, teach BZP to not trust blurry pictures so much, and it might even help TLC by confusing clone-brands. Thoughts? Quote

Tyranide Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 (edited) It's not the Grubzlas, it's just Grubzlas. It's our main villain... I need to consult our other MegaPlan (we call it that way) if it's okay to give our work to you... I believe we still want to revive it somehow)) But I don't think it'll be a problem. So. I showed you one Grubzlas, now you must say if you want to see our other Oudejo (villains' species) and learn about our supposed storyline)) Also I had somewhere a couple o'pages for the comic book based on our story... yeah, there: http://10tonbrick.deviantart.com/art/Pngaeoe-sees-103865027 http://10tonbrick.deviantart.com/art/Theo-...age-2-106415790 http://10tonbrick.deviantart.com/art/Theo-...age-3-106415981 http://10tonbrick.deviantart.com/art/Grubz...ketch-106416456 Yes, we called it Theo Nui. ---Vertea--- Posted July 11, 2009 Author Posted July 11, 2009 (edited) (the picture links to the full-size version.) Yes, it's purple and yellow. yes I actually like that color combo. No, I don't expect you all to accept it as the final colors.XD Pretty much everyone is free to try and color it on their own, so go at it-PMing me suggestions is fine, too :) But, yes... couldn't be helped. This is my pitch-in number two for a possible villain/mutant faction member. The left arm is a parasite launcher, with the legs of the parasite serving as fingers. this 'hand' can be shot out to attack foes and do whatever. He does have a primary weapon, but I'll draw that up later. it just would have made the picture way to busy had I added it. His wings are attached to purple slizer arms and are colored yellow/purple like the mask and launcher. I figured that if this is gonna be the first majorly purple set in forever, then at least provide sufficient purple parts to doe something with, as well as the dual color mix. The parasites are different colors for each mutant-thing. these are the color schemes for those of you interested in coloring him differently. Purple guy- red parasite red guy- Blue parasite Blue guy- orange parasite Green guy- purple parasite tan or brown- silver/blue parasite orange- light blue parasite white guy- red or blue, depending on whether you want an icy theme or a kirka-like theme black guy- glow-in-the-dark parasite Black guy- glowy parasite tan guy- Edited July 11, 2009 by ---Vertea--- Quote

There was a whole LEGO release thing about this. I know that, silly! I saw that announcement ages ago and was absolutely heartbroken. But given that we are designing our own sets, I think we can do some things that can't normally happen. There really is no need for the CAPS text, as it is quite insulting to assume that just because I colored a fictional set purple that I suddenly think that it can happen. THIS IS STRICTLY A WHAT-IF. So pleeeease don't go assuming things like that. It's insulting to an uber die-hard fan. Hmm I think these would be pretty cool but you have two extras. Orange AND tan or brown? I don't intend on having a set for each of the colors listed-This was just a list for corresponding parasite color reference if anyone wanted to try and color the original piece differently. now on to the main thing: Would anyone be interested in seeing more of these monstrous parasite wielding maniacs as villains or faction, or should we only have a few sets like this- or even none at all?
