The Alchemyst Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 A small $6 Vehicle? xD That's impossible for Bionicle. An assortment of small sets would be nice, a couple evil, a couple Rahi, some Agori, it doesn't need to be 6. And no Life Counters, I'm assuming. How Techy do we want to go? Like Piraka/Inika/Metru Nui Tech? Or full blown '08? [-The Alchemyst-] Quote

The Alchemyst Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 (edited) Junkpunk has officially become a style now. Kinda post-apoc with less franticness. xD But anywho, pics! Pose Front Back Torso Build Journeyman to the Core! A strongwilled Glatorian from Iconox, Teborus is there to help Mata Nui! Armed with a Spear Launcher and Shield from the newfound technology underneath Bara Magna, he is ready to take on any experiments that lie in his wake! Contains 51 pieces. Like? EDIT: Name from Tepid, Boreal, and the standard Latin -us ending. [-The Alchemyst-] Edited July 3, 2009 by The Alchemyst Quote
Bfahome Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 (edited) That'd probably work well. BEWARE THE M I N D. Totally a prototype right now, and wouldn't be to scale with the sets. Wondering if that'd work as a base for it. what upcoming movie? Edited July 3, 2009 by Bfahome Quote
The Dor Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I think something different than 6-6 is also good, however they're distributed in sets, an asymmetric team makes it feel more teamly, and less forced-by-set-numbers. Oh and important: Should they have Thornax Launchers? =/ I just need some sort of quick answer, so I'm not putting it in the vote topic, unless you guys feel I should. >.> I'm heading toward no Thornax, because of Tech... But having ZSLs with Thornax could be different and fits cyberpunk well... [-TA-] I think for now Thornax with, say, Midaks would be pretty cool. I'd like to see three Glatorian, three other "good Guys"And then perhaps have three of one type of creature, and three of another. The rest will be included in various "battle-packs". The impulse sets should have three Agori, and three minor experiments. This. I like. I meant set wise, but right, Ammo, that makes them completely null. :PUnless they grew inside? They're twisted fruits, and it's a twisted place... But setwise, yes or no? It technically makes 'em more set-like, but are they necessary? I feel like my 47 piece count is low, so that's possibly a reason why I'm asking. >.> [-TA-] A launcher of some sort is necessary, so unless they pick up new launchers, Thornax makes the most sense. Custom Thornax Launchers could be a possibility... I think it would be cool to have the Agori and Glatorian distributed unevenly throughout the sets, eg 2 Small Agori, 1 Agori w/ Bike Cansiter, 1 Agori/Glatorian combo sets and 1 vehicle piloted by a Glatorian w/ 2 Agori piloted turrets. The remaining small sets would be small bad guys, rahi and maybe a small vehicle. The canister sets could be 2 Glatorian, 2 Bad Guys, 1 Agori w/ Bike and 1 Rahi. Custom launchers would be sweet. But I don't like that distribution. Agori with Bike in a canister? Ew. Minivehicle? I think the canisters should just be figures. I'd say no. Long-term they probably won't have them, or they'll at least modify them. Maybe they have Thornax, and find some addition that functions like the Midak, drawing energy out of the air and creating a solid sphere. Because then we could load Midak spheres in the Thornax. Which looks really pretty sweet IMO. I'm not sure any past BIONICLE storyline could provide a basis for technology. It's likely going to be cyberpunk-ish and/or build-stuff-out-of-whatever-they-can-find-punk (junkpunk?). Love the idea of Junkpunk. Really love the idea of junkpunk. I actually have a junkpunk creation I should post then. Junkpunk has officially become a style now. Kinda post-apoc with less franticness. xD But anywho, pics! EDIT: Name from Tepid, Boreal, and the standard Latin -us ending. [-The Alchemyst-] Pretty sweet. Don't like the lack of armor on his left shoulder. But other than that pretty good. I like the Hordika armor. That'd probably work well.BEWARE THE M I N D. Totally a prototype right now, and wouldn't be to scale with the sets. Wondering if that'd work as a base for it. what upcoming movie? Inspired much? XD also, I'm very much all for the idea of few heroes pitted against several monstrous enemies. Of course, I also fancy the thought that some of the creatures could be allied with if the Glatorian play their cards right. Quote
Brickthing Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 What movie? Did I miss that a couple of pages ago? Am I expected to animate it? Quote
The Alchemyst Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Well it looks like taking the average, we get around 6 Glatorian and 5 Agori. But since no one likes 6 Glatorian, let's make it 7. ._. So let's try and get 7 Glatorian [or more, so we can vote on], soon. That way, we can get the story events dealing with them rolling, which leads to enemies and such. And 3D Brickthing, BFA's mind is based off of something in 9, it seems. o.o Reminded me more about GLaDOS, but whatever. >.> Maybe make the connecting arm thicker? It's pretty skimpy as it is right now, one Hordika forearm. =/ Other than that, the idea is pretty nifty. Fixing my Teborus, Dor. Just going to add like 2 pieces. [-TA-] Quote
Wrinkledlion X Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Hi, Greg, it's been a while since I asked you something:1. Did the Skrall fight for the Element Lord of Rock during the Core War? 1a. If not, who did? 2. Are there empty domes inside the prototype Great Spirit? 1) Yes 2) No. The prototype was not designed to hold that kind of nanotech We can still pretend. Quote
Antrozek Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 (edited) 1) Yes2) No. The prototype was not designed to hold that kind of nanotech We can still pretend. wait, if that's true, how the Skrall can live in the Head of the Prototype? maybe the Prototype was scatterbrained XD Anyway, we're just not in the "Inside Prototype great spirit", mostly er are in subterranian places that was forgetted by Bara Magna, such like the Great Beings Lab under Tesara, maybe there can be much more places like that one Edited July 3, 2009 by Antrozek Quote
The Alchemyst Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Well. >.> We're the new GregF's of our world so it doesn't matter. :D Maybe they're not domes... But Boxes. Not very Nanotech Boxes... [-TA-] Quote
Bfahome Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Well. >.>We're the new GregF's of our world so it doesn't matter. :D Maybe they're not domes... But Boxes. Not very Nanotech Boxes... [-TA-] Or spheres. Domes are flat on the bottom. Spheres are round all the way. Also, new idea; floating land masses. Due to no flat bottom, all the land in the sphere-domes hovers in midair. :D Quote
---Vertea--- Posted July 3, 2009 Author Posted July 3, 2009 Well. >.>We're the new GregF's of our world so it doesn't matter. :D Maybe they're not domes... But Boxes. Not very Nanotech Boxes... [-TA-] Or perhaps the being is fulled with tunnels and parts that would have been internal workings! Then, there's the added danger of some random "organ" being activated! Let's have no domes, but still be inside the Failed Spirit. Quote
The Alchemyst Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Hmmm... Yea we don't really need domes. It's more like, environments grew inside the place. Why not just have the bodies be like the "boxes" or "domes"? So the land in the head is head shaped. The land in the leg is leg shaped, etc. etc. Oh, and new vote's been implemented. For the number of returning characters. After that we'll decide who returns. >.> [-TA-] Quote

There could even be whole forests of underground fungus or whatever can grow in a decaying robot. There could also be underground lakes, huge cavernous spaces, and volcanic deposits! I'll draw up a possible map-thing... Quote
Brickthing Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 2) No. The prototype was not designed to hold that kind of nanotech Nah, he's just pulling our strings - you asked if there were empty domes, which they're not. If we ditch the dome idea, then isn't this becoming more of a Eurobricks BIONICLE "year"? I'm fine with that though, because it can last longer than this year and other forums are doing community builds as well, so we could have one that includes both BIONICLE Mocs and fan-story. I finished my canister-size Agori w/ vehicle. It's a lime green motorbike using my new Thunder Driller parts, and it's currently driven by Berix for demonstrational purposes. Pics coming soon. Quote
:Yami: Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 This is a nice idea and I'v got a character/MoC idea if you don't mind (Note:Onua Mistika mask is just there as a prototype) Name:Unknown Weapon:Large Sword,Knife and wrist attached claws. Abilities:The Ability to take certain prominent skills from people and a mild morphing power allowing minor instantaneous modifications to its armour(Example turning his arm into a whip with a blade on the and stuff like that) Other:Is Mute.Has a deep obsession with the Ignika and it's power. Descripton:From the shadows comes a predator like no other,Armed with razor sharp claws, tools and armour it feeds off of a warriors power and takes their most powerful skills away when Mata-Nui enters the Bara-Magna Underground it instantly takes notice of the Ignika and so it hunts waiting for the chance to take the Ignika and absorb it into itself. ---Vertea--- Posted July 3, 2009 Author Posted July 3, 2009 VERY crappy-you all know I can do better! but what does everyone think? Quote

The Alchemyst Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Yami, if you could somehow adjust it to be a canister set or a titan, that'd be great. Sword does look a bit awkward. Brickthing, nice bike. Not sure if it'll fit in the canister section from the pics, so with the Agori, how many pieces? All we need is the Dor's vote, and we'll get rolling with characters. x3 [-TA-] Quote
:Yami: Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Alchemyst-Yeah I'll see if I can beef it up to titan size unless I can construct a vehicle. Brickthing-Yeah the sword was a leftover from an older Moc I'll see what I can do... Quote

The MIND could be it's channeling source? and perhaps the villain never shows it's true self, like Makuta from '01? The organic parts could be inside the ball. Like a cyborg thing. I like to think that the Mind eventually managed to pull together both some organic bits to make its "body" (and make it bigger) and some inorganic scraps to build a "suit" so it could actually do things. Nah, he's just pulling our strings - you asked if there were empty domes, which they're not.
