Brickthing Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 het guys, you should take a look to this: Mutatis We should use those concepts as inspiration for those creatures that are in our story Some of those are quite cool, although some might be too organic for to MOC though. Quote
Bfahome Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Are there any Glatorian spots left? If so, I get dibs on one. Quote
The Dor Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Don't get why Mata Nui would want such a guy on his team, but whatever. :PAlright, so we've already got two Glatorian for Iconox/White-colorscheme. >.> Unless you color him otherwise Dor. And we need... 3 more Glatorian? And 3 more Agori? [-TA-] Well Gelu could possibly be in a vehicle? Or else the ex-raider wears sand armor. And he probably knows the area A LOT better than any other Glatorian probably. And having two Glatorian from Iconox makes sense considering where the team falls in. I have 2 Glatorian Ideas up and ready to go:Tribe:Tesara Description:A young rookie only just accepted as a Trainee and trying to find his place on Bara-Magna which isn't easy due to influences such as the Ex-Raider glatorian(Name Please?) leading him astray. But he means well and is determined to show he can be as good as the Primary and Secondary Glatorian Tribe:Tajun Description:A Gruff Trainee who has attempted to gain a Secondary Or Primary slot as a Glatorian but has been pushed aside again and again, despite this he is very loyal to his allys and despite his demeanour polite to even his enemies although he disagrees with Mata-Nui at times he respects and reveres him knowing he means best. I'm not at all good with names so if both or either of these two get picked for the final group you guys can choose the names *Yami* Sweet. I like both of these. Anyone can MoC or draw these characters, right? Also Yami should be in the voting team srsly. And I like having trainees. Proving themselves. het guys, you should take a look to this: Mutatis We should use those concepts as inspiration for those creatures that are in our story I love this. The vehicles and areas look like good inspirations. Are there any Glatorian spots left? If so, I get dibs on one. There are two more I believe. Gelu, Mata Nui, Ex Raider, Tesara and Tajun trainees = 5 / 7 Unless Vorox are included in the 7 thing, in which case there's only one left. And we still have 3 Agori available. Quote
The Alchemyst Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 (edited) Well, we have 2 all done right now. ._. The one Antrozek apparently drew for the Dor a couple of pages back. Post Link My Glatorian Teborus, posted a few pages back. Post link Gelu Mata Nui We have ideas, but nothing set in stone [i.e an actual design. >.>] So we have 3 New Glatorian designs left. and 2 Revamps[/2] And then 3 New Agori. Shouldn't the designer be able to make/choose their story/backstory for their character? [Yami get movin' :P] I think two trainees is a bit too much. One makes sense for proving himself, sending two, is just hurting the team and Mata Nui I feel. =/ The first Trainee really sounds something like Gresh, but I like the idea for the second one. The Dor Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 The one Antrozek apparently drew for the Dor a couple of pages back. Post Link Coloring it might be a difficulty :\ I'll talk to Antrozek about it. But I think the Ex-raider background sounds fantastic. Probably cast into the desert when SM shattered, then raised himself on the wilderness I guess. Raided caravans for food. Kind of a nasty guy. We have ideas, but nothing set in stone [i.e an actual design. >.>]So we have 3 New Glatorian designs left. and 2 Revamps We don't actually have to revamp Gelu. Because of Teborus, he is almost certainly forced to a vehicle status. And then 3 New Agori. Who wants these? Shouldn't the designer be able to make/choose their story/backstory for their character?[Yami get movin' :P] Designer should determine backstory. Yami, if you want to have stakes on two Glatorian, you'd better make some kickass MoCs for 'em. But I'm in favor of each person only getting one character to design right now. :) I think two trainees is a bit too much. One makes sense for proving himself, sending two, is just hurting the team and Mata Nui I feel. =/ The first Trainee really sounds something like Gresh, but I like the idea for the second one.[-TA-] Two trainees might be too much. Maybe we could kill off Vastus so one of the Tesara trainees can become a secondary Glatorian xD That'd make Bfahome happy xD Quote
The Alchemyst Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Well even if Gelu is in a vehicle, he's still a Glatorian right? =/ And well, we've got 6 people with art/MOCs soon, so we'll vote one off, I suppose. Unless one person is fine not having a new character. :P [-TA-] Quote
Brickthing Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Who wants these? Can I have 2 please? One for my motorbike and another for my in-progress vehicle. Quote

Mata Nui I really don't mean to be rude to whoever I seem to be missing :\ @Brickthing: Not entirely mine to say, but since you don't seem to be getting a Glatorian... Quote
Antrozek Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 God i love that Kind of Armor, we should use that o inspiration to draw/Make set pieces (MOSTLY THE FEET ARMOR SHE GOT) That could go Friggin well with the Cyberpunk characters Quote

And the Cyberpunk guy is also pretty sweet. Jetpacked cyberpunk figure definitely necessary now. Definitely. Quote
Bfahome Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 The characters are portrayed in the set as their post-falling-in/junkpunk form, right? Quote
The Dor Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 The characters are portrayed in the set as their post-falling-in/junkpunk form, right? Certainly. Although we don't really know how well or how many of them will integrate the tech into their bodies. TBH I would not attach foreign technology to my body quickly and readily. Certainly some do (Teborus looks like one of them, and Mata Nui would be able to most easily) Quote

I've made an Agori rider for my motorbike, however the new piece count suggests the set to be better as a M&V sized set. The Agori more custom than standard Agori. So the vehicles wouldn't be from inside the GS? Well actually that would be better. Because wasn't the GS not designed for things to live in it? So then the creatures more or less just showed up on their own, wandering from the wastelands and GS test chambers and such? Quote

We already have two, Gelu and Teborus, so why not make it a better color that we don't have yet? Otherwise looks pretty good. Love the eye attachment. Assume it to be a new piece when doing piece count please. Also for the sword? Quote
Brickthing Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 (edited) I think that some of the vehicles are Bara Magna originals, because I'm sure there are plenty more epic vehicles like the Skopio, that could be used in our story. We could also have later vehicles made with parts from in the GS in the image of Bara Magnian vehicles that the team remembers. Here's my prototype Glatorian: I like the look of him, but he could be a bit more colourful, to match other Ice Glatorian. I like the custom helmet, but I think all our Glatorian would be better with set-like masks to make them feel more official. I'm working on something to do with that though. EDIT: The Dor covered what I was trying to say. Edited July 6, 2009 by 3D Brickthing Quote
The Dor Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I have non-sense of how color him I am continually amazed. This is actually almost exactly what I was thinking xD you are officially my hero now. So it kinda would make sense that he'd wear sandy armor after living so long in the desert. Also we don't have an even more massive problem of people all wanting to make an ice Glatorian xD Alright I'll try to come up with more ideas and such in the morning. Gotta sleep unfortunately >.> Quote
---Vertea--- Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 ... the cyberpunk should not be used profusely, but in the right amount will be very kickass. Antroz, that guy is amazing, and why not give MN a vehicle and new form so we can go bananas on him? the vehicle and new look could be all him, so we'd be able to MOC to our heart's content. And why don't we make a list of Characters we have a look for so far, so that we know what colors and such we should be building with next. Quote

EDIT: The Dor covered what I was trying to say. He's white because 1) I have an abundance of white pieces (yay for TECHNIC R2-D2 :D), and 2) I have no Glatorihands in colors other than white or tan. He's not very colorful because of my lack of want to take apart Strakk, and just adding blue limbs would boost the amount of possibly-clashing colors (white, bley, dark blue, some silver, and some black). I'll factor the goggles to be 3 pieces (to keep it reasonable, since it actually has 10), the sword to be 2, and each of the white TECHNIC armor bits to be 1 each. Bringing the piece count to about 38. Quote
