Brickthing Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I'd kinda like a consistent set of Canisters though. And a vehicle would really throw that off. I like the idea of a M&V set though. If you could tally the piece count of the Agori that would be great, because we could tell whether it would be on par w/ Mutran and Vican. The Agori is 34 pieces. Quote
The Dor Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 The Agori is 34 pieces. That... actually sounds a lot like a M&V sized set. 82 pieces total then. Quote
The Alchemyst Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 @3DB: I'm personally fine with it being M&V kind of set. I'd really like to know how you did the helmet. o.o @Lepaka, not liking the weapon too much, or the porportions. =/ Like the colors, except for the fact that now we have 3 wait Glatorian, and then a Gelu. D: And we definitely need Glatorian in different colors. I only have a Vorox and Metus Helm sooo... >.> [-TA-] Quote

I made a Glatorian head in 3D, aligned it with the photo I took of the MOC, then I modelled the helmet and rendered it on top of the picture. Quote
The Alchemyst Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 We got 3 refugees, we just need a what mix of species, and how many of each. I can brainstorm a couple: Old Withered Glatorian like Surel. Agori Agori in some sort of Boxer-esque-thing. Vorox pre-devolution. Some sort of elemental-being, like a Toa, dunno how to fit it. [-TA-] Quote
Bfahome Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Sweet what did you add? New chest armor and some filler pieces. Don't we need some females, too? ._. Quality pics to come as soon as the camera batteries are charged. Quote

Bfahome Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Here we go. Nute Gunray Refugee 2 torch staff (I may change the hook to yellow) hat construction I had to move his head connector up one notch so he could turn his head. :/ Glatorian (from Tajun now) 2 3 4 Possible concept for an experiment that flies. One red eye, two propellers, and a tail that shoots out spears. A knob on the underside turns both propellers (I am quite pleased with this :3). I would have taken more pics, but the camera batteries ran out (I didn't charge them for long :\). Quote

Maybe the new flame avaliable in SP3, Agents 2.0 and IJ sets? The Glatorian looks the same height as my Agori, so I'm not sure which MOC may need altering. I love the experiment. Quote

Glatorian (from Tajun now) 2 3 4 Love 'im. He's *awesome*. I'd like a piece count and torso instructions. :D Possible concept for an experiment that flies. I'll post one of my beasty creations and a junkpunk type character probably sometime this week, depending on when I can :\ Quote

Depends on how you built your Agori. Custom torso? I'd like a piece count :) Again count helmet as one piece. Counting the "hair" as one piece each, hat as one piece, staff and torch as three pieces each, and torso as five pieces, it has 21 pieces. Love 'im. He's *awesome*. I'd like a piece count and torso instructions. :D With some creative combining of pieces, the count stands at 47. Instructions coming. Quote
Brickthing Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I don't have any of those flame pieces.Depends on how you built your Agori. Custom torso? That's fine then, but I still think the flame is a bit dismal. Mine has a normal Agori torso, but both of our MOCs have Vahki legs, and your torso looks the same length as mine (albeit way more bulky and wide). Quote

Maybe yours shouldn't have Vahki legs? :/ Not many other solutions I can think of. Also, Glatorian instructions. More views of the flying thing: 1 2 And another possible flying thing: 1 2 3 Quote

Mine has a normal Agori torso, but both of our MOCs have Vahki legs, and your torso looks the same length as mine (albeit way more bulky and wide). Your Agori is roughly the same height as Telluris and MALUM, so I think it might be a little tall, although I have absolutely no problem with it. Also, Glatorian instructions. Yaaay So if you count the torso as a new piece, what is the piece count? More views of the flying thing: 1 2And another possible flying thing: 1 2 3 Like both of these. The second one looks a little... weak though. Edited July 7, 2009 by The Dor Quote
Zip Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 No offense to the MOCists, but the MOCs aren't really feeling like sets. I mean sure, piece count is important, but what about new molds and recolours? Anyone here a god at Photoshop? That, and I think that all the new sets should be drawn, like what Antrozek did with that red/green thing. That way, new molds, recolours, and designs would be easier to create. Quote

But creating them in MoCs gives a good base and ideas for those sets once drawn. Quote
Bfahome Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Yaaay So if you count the torso as a new piece, what is the piece count? I didn't go that far. I counted it as three or four. Like both of these. The second one looks a little... weak though. Yeah, I know. Quote
Zip Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I think all the new sets should be drawn as well. But creating them in MoCs gives a good base and ideas for those sets once drawn. So, the prototypes come first, and the finals will be drawn. Quote
The Dor Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I didn't go that far. I counted it as three or four. So like the actual /torso/ or the torso and hips and armor as three or four? @Zip: That sounds about right xD Quote
Bfahome Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 So like the actual /torso/ or the torso and hips and armor as three or four? Torso and hips and armor connectors. Quote
The Dor Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Torso and hips and armor connectors. Sweet. He needs a name, and are we going to be voting up individual characters as well? Quote
Bfahome Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 He needs a name Yup. and are we going to be voting up individual characters as well? No idea what this means. Quote
The Dor Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 No idea what this means. As in will we be voting on "canonizing" these characters? Quote

:Yami: Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I'm almost finishd on my Glatorian however I've had to change his Tribe seeing as I decided to keep the Trainee Glatorian who was from Tajun over my Tesara Glatorian but seeing as we already have a Tajun Glatorian I wanted to do either Vulcanus or Tesara some justice and I decided to eep the backstory the same but change the tribe so I'm kinda stuck seeing as I built two Glaorian templates fairly similar to the original one from Tajun and I decided that the one I liked the most would be picked and get the Weapons I had planned so I'll have decided soon and have pics up soon. *YamI* Quote
