Posted July 3, 200915 yr A haven for wizards and and any with spells, charms, and other magic to share and show. My first attempt at trying a castle/tower. Please go a little easy. I normally wouldn't use a white for something this large, please forgive me for how the photographs turned out. See more on Flickr.
July 3, 200915 yr I'm jealous. YOU HAVE SO MUCH GRASS! RAGH! Very good, I like the trees and all, the tower is pretty good, although the curvy pieces do make it look a little weird, but that's fine. Overall, not bad, but one more thing: If your ever thinking about selling those grass pieces, let me know! :P
July 3, 200915 yr Nicely done NewRight. Lots of scenery to give a great forest/swamp impression. Not sure if this is what you were goin' for... I was lookin for you at Brickworld this year. Everytime I swung by one of your tables, you were gone? And Dwarfinator, if you are referring to the flowerstems, any LEGO store should have them in stock on the PAB wall.
July 3, 200915 yr And Dwarfinator, if you are referring to the flowerstems, any LEGO store should have them in stock on the PAB wall. Yeah, I know, but I don't have one near me. Soon, though, I will.
July 4, 200915 yr I like those trees you made! But im not likeing those light green tree stems with dark green
July 5, 200915 yr I like to all round kooky feel of the forest and action in and around the water. The tower has me somewhat perplexed. I feel the use of blue tiles and certain curved bricks etc actually make it look like a futuristic tower rather than a Medieval tower. Good work though.
July 5, 200915 yr Awesome work Newright. I actually like the curves and blue accents of the tower, and the foliage is also great. I'm not too crazy about the colour of it though. I think you should have stuck with one colour of green for the leaves, rather than mix two. That's really my only complaint, and it is very minor. Excellent work!
July 6, 200915 yr Great job with those pine trees. I have never seen that technique before, and they really do look very authentic.
July 8, 200915 yr Author I feel the use of blue tiles and certain curved bricks etc actually make it look like a futuristic tower rather than a Medieval tower. I got that comment a few times when I had shown it to people around me before photographing it. I think you should have stuck with one colour of green for the leaves, rather than mix two. That's really my only complaint, and it is very minor. Excellent work! I thought I would be able to mix light and dark green, but I guess it kinda blew up in my face. I know regular green and dark/light green go together. This was an experiment with foliage more than anything.
