Commander Assassin Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 As I know TLG would never make a set this big for a non-licensed theme, this is something that I would hope Lego would make someday. Quote
VBBN Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 A fine MOC indeed. I would buy that in no time-even with my dark age! Quote
Xenophilius Studz Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Wow... That is one cool HQ. If LEGO ever decided to make an actual Agents HQ, it would be NOTHING compared to yours. All the cool details. My favorite part is the lounge. Of course they have to do something if their not saving the world. This is a truly awesome Agent HQ! Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Cool model, I like the deployment ramp and the pool table. Great work. And the arcade machines, the list goes on and on. Its these extras that Lego models lack that make mocs great. Imagine a Pool Table and Arcade Machines on the bridge of Admiral Ackbar's ship. Quote
Rick Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Great model, with set-like (e.g., playability) qualities. Love all the little details. Quote
superliver Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 wow!!! that is incredible i tried making an agent base once, it turned out terribly and you mad it so simply... i am embaressed it is truly wonderous- it should be a set!! Quote
brickzone Posted July 21, 2009 Author Posted July 21, 2009 Superliver - my first attempt at it was back around Christmas :) It's been my main project since April! Now I've not worked on it solidly and I've had other Lego diversions, but it was tricky enough to bring together. Thanks for the compliments! I'm happy it doesn't look too over-engineered, I keep having to redo and streamline things when building MoCs as I tend to focus too much on one particular area rather than try and keep consistency across the whole model. Sometimes my MoCs are delayed as I reach one area that "stumps" me, although really I should just not worry about it when that happens and put something simple in and continue on. I don't like to do that though if e.g. I'm adding another floor above the one I'm stuck on. I guess planning things beforehand would have its advantages! Quote
commandertyphoon Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 thats amazing! i like the arcademachine and the pool table Quote
Nuju Metru Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Oh my god... Dude, I am seriously impressed. How you managed to fit in so many little details and functions into such a nice-looking shell is really amazing. I love all the imaginative parts, like the pool table and arcade machine, which give the base a very nice feel. Awesome job! ' -Nuju Metru Quote
saberwing Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 wow..... wow..... and wow again. This is absolutly brilliant! Quote
Paul cantu Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Woah! This looks perfect! I really like the hardcore agents look on the exterior. I also like all the interior details such as the arcade, the pool table, and the plants. Super Creation! Quote
Eldervampire Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Bravo, I can only hope that when I get time to build my MOCs they look as good and are as functional as this. Again, bravo, Sir, Bra-vo Quote
charlieboy Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 This is fantastic, simply breathtaking!!! Ive built some things ive thought were good but this puts them all to shame!! Quote
Dr Kilroy Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Very nice! Entrance, antenna on the top and interior are my favourite places. Mix of MdStone and NavyBlue looks very well. If I can choose favourite room, that's reception. Quote
Zenox Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I cant believe my eyes...This is..magnificent! Im jealous.. Great work, i absolutely love the arcade machine! Mind if i make one? Quote
Big Cam Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Very impressive, this would be at least a $200 set if produced. Great playability, be proud it's a work of art. Quote
brickzone Posted September 4, 2009 Author Posted September 4, 2009 I cant believe my eyes...This is..magnificent!Im jealous.. Great work, i absolutely love the arcade machine! Mind if i make one? Not at all, in fact I posted a thread about how to make the pool table and arcade machine here. Thanks for all the additional comments everyone, I'm pretty chuffed that this MOC/thread is still getting attention from time to time! I've moved onto my next MOC, an Opera House (from the ridiculous to the sublime?) but the Agents HQ is still intact (although I nicked some of the window glass, kitchen cupboards and black bracket pieces used on the arcade machine - those I intend to replace from Bricklink - the other items too pricy to buy extra). Quote
lincolnwho Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 This moc has left me nothing but gob smacked, fantastic work . You have so captured the look and feel of the Agents brilliant. What I love so much is that this could be a TLG release , which is the building style I love Quote
Skorpius47 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I'm glad this thread got bumped when it did. I came rolling on in to see what was up with the huge cleansing of Agents on Lego.com and I saw this MOC thread. Jesus Christ, brickzone. You did what I had tried so hard to do. I spent countless hours with the LEGO Digital Designer, trying my damndest to build an affordable Agents' HQ I could order. This tower of yours is close to one of my designs, which was going to be based off of one of the Lifeguard lighthouse sets. In the end, I designed a once-set "garage" part with modular connections so I could order additional parts in the future. I'm geeking out right now because of your MOC and I want to share pictures and junk, but I won't at the moment because this is your thread. Great job. Do you still have this built and did you get around to making the trailer for the boat? I'd love to see what you did if you got around to it. Your army of Agents is more diverse than mine, I'm jealous. I'm using garbage generic heads as "fodder Agents." But maybe my team of Inferno specialist Generals could be worthy adversaries. Quote
Steel Dragon Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I don't have much to add that hasn't been said except my own WOW! The whole thing is just amazing, especially the lounge. A few questions: does the Elevator actually slide up and down? Do the elevator doors work? Have you PLAYED with this enough? (hint on that last one: no) Again, awesome job! Quote
brickzone Posted January 16, 2010 Author Posted January 16, 2010 It's great to see interest in this still, and thanks for all the further praise! I do indeed still have it built, though it is a bit dust-covered and I stole one or two pieces. Steel Dragon: The elevator does indeed move up and down (by hand) and you can open and close the elevator doors (again, manually). No, I haven't "played" with this enough - although partly a lack of display space to easily access it to muck around with it from time to time (I would tend towards creating a snapshot of a story idea in my head by posing all the figures, vehicles, etc. rather than acting it out or such). I'd forgotten about the plan for a trailer for the Agents speedboat. I think I might have a go at that next. I should really do up a list of my planned projects as I keep forgetting about them. With the Christmas tree down, I should have some display space, so perhaps Agents should get it for a month or so (I was thinking perhaps a pirates display, but maybe I'll leave that till I get the Imperial Flagship - if I have money this year!) I should really have a go at an expanded Volcano base too. My Opera House experienced disaster as it got knocked off a shelf and I had kind of got builders block halfway through anyway (and it was possibly at the same time too large to feasibly build and too small for the idea), so my MOC time is free for new projects again. danim Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 An absolutly brilliant moc the details are incredible may I suggest for you elivator you connect a bit of string running from the elivator to a pf motor somewere whcih would allow your elivator to be motorised Quote
killzone999 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 wow aht i would do is make like anothere building with the same stuff on the same floor not exactly bu like increase the reception area and thn you can put them back to back to make it bigger or next to each other its your choice! Quote
iamded Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 <low whistle> Wow. This is an impressive MOC indeed. Very smart, very tidy, yet still packed with details and action. I love the pool table and arcade machine - very cool. And the mechanism for the car to launch out the side of the building is another great touch, as is the fold out defence systems. All your personalised Agents are another great touch. Keep on MOCing mate, you're certainly good at it! ~Peace Quote
crazyjay Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 All I can say is WOW! that is totally amazing. You have one heck of a gift. Im very impressed with the overall design and inclusion of all the little details Quote
