roxio Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Hello,If you want to buy licenced parts on Lego Customers Service, go to this petition, and vote ! Thank you for your participation. I've done it but there is more chance of me knitting fog than there is of Lego selling specialised Stars Wars (or any other licensed theme , Indy etc) parts individually Quote
prateek Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 I'll sign it, but the parts will be very expensive. Quote
-JD- Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 As horrific as it is, it won't happen. It is the lisencsing. Damn, I wish they forgot to do that. If it does happen, I'll do 300 cartwheels in a row. Quote
jifel Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Well, they are renewing the liscense in 2011, it could happen! jifel Quote
Spyder Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Well, they are renewing the liscense in 2011, it could happen!jifel What? I thought there was absolutely no way that they would be renewing it. Quote
The Who Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 ...it could happen! Extremely unlikely. Actually, that's about as likely as finding Megablocks in an unopenned factory-packed Lego box. It would have to be approved by Lucas, and since that is practically like selling individual minifigs, they cannot do it for the simple reason that Hasbro is already selling individual SW figures. (Not Lego ones) Quote
CommanderFox Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 (edited) I think it's cool what your doing here and i'll probably sign but I think there is a 10% chance of it working. It would be very nice though, i must say So what's this about the liscence getting renwed??? YES PLEASE!!!!!! If this whole signing thing is gonna work, then will they start selling ep 3 set or parts on S@H or something 7283 here I come I'll sign it, but good luck with it actually working. Legoman Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 I don't get it. What exactly do you want? I can't think of any peices that are SW only (other than figs) But this has been disscussed before, Lego doesn't have the right to sell individual figs. Those new magnets are as close as you'll get to SW individual figs. They already sell a lot of parts from SW sets, just not figs. I'd say stick to Bricklink if i were you, it's cheaper and no licencing rules, so anyone can go sell licenced figs and parts without the fear of being taken to court by hasbro Quote
-JD- Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 If anything we should complain to Hasbro. Sorry for the emoticon fit. Quote
legolandia Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Buying individual parts in this case i think means buying mini figures. And i dont think that will ever happen. A lot of those sets sell because some people want the new minifigs and others buy the set and sell the minifigs and keep the rest(or vice versa) Quote
Millacol88 Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Lego does not have the right to sell Star Wars figures individually. Hasbro alone has that right. That's why TLC does not sell individual SW minifigs. Bricklink has no such limitations, though. Quote
RileyC Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 It would be good if you were mocing and needed printed pieces from older sets that are now stickers but as people have said because of legal reasons it wont happen and it wouldn't be that practical for lego to start reprinting decals on parts Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 What? I thought there was absolutely no way that they would be renewing it. I don't remember this being confirmed, but at the same time, I don't see why they wouldn't. They make a lot of money from the Star Wars sets, and even if they run out of new sets by 2011, they can go back and do a lot of the older sets that newer fans won't have, like the X-wing, Jabba's Sail Barge, Slave 1, etc. It's an almost infinite cycle that I'm sure they'll keep going until it's no longer profitable. Darth Legolas Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 (edited) Hasbro's a poo-poo then. But to tell you the truth, I've got plenty of my own ways to get SW minifigs. Ever tried Bricklink? Edited July 11, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote

You know this, I know this, but I'm not sure that TLG knows this. Let's just hope that it continues this way. George Lucas has the opportunity to add to the Star Wars univers, but kids would not like it as much, like the old republic. Think about it. He's stretched out the Clone Wars about as far as it's gonna go. He's not going to make any new movies, only that live action tv series next year. With nothing new in the Star Wars Universe, people will lose interest. I can see why Lego might want to end the license, but as we all know, George Lucas will probably come up with some other non-canon storyline and keep Star Wars from dying. Which is a good thing, because that hopefully means new Lego sets! Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Lego and Star Wars fan, I'm just thinking of reasons why they would end the license. I actually didn't know that Hasbro alone had the license to selling Star Wars action figure by themselves. That's just plain annoying. For individual minifigs, Bricklink is your best option. It has pretty much every minifig for sale, and at low prices. Quote
