Now that the new KK3 sets are on S@H, we should be getting pics of the System sets soon. The instructions of the big Knghts always have a big page showing the Summer's new sets.

Someone on BZPower has got one of the 2006 Knights:

On the other page was shown the minifig sets. Although there were only three sets this time around, they looked brilliant.

I've asked him what the sets are, and if he can get any scans up.

Beautiful! Thanks, Darkie! I am...well, a little disappointed in some of the weapons though (nothing that hasn't been done before a million times), but I'm loving the figs! And the silver helmet for the horse *wub* that's definitely a must-have. And all the figs, the new helmets...it's a shame the actual sets don't look that good...looks like I'll be getting them for parts and figs

Those sets look awesome.  I knew LEGO would not dissapoint with year three.  Where are the nay sayers now? ;)

Right here :P !

Well, sort of.

The minifigs are certainly a step in the right direction. Metallic armour is definitely preferable to the powder blue and purple armour of last season. Unfortunately, it looks like this year's Knights don't have new helmets. I see that Danju's helmet has been re-coloured grey on a few occasions.

Unfortunately, I'm still not that fond of the set design. The ship (if you can call it that) looks like a pile of left-over bricks with two dragon wings stuck on top. The new castle (?) doesn't really do anything for me. It really doesn't look like anything. The bridge looks pretty bland IMO.

Overall this is a mixed bag. The minifigs are definitely the best we've had since KKI, but the sets themselves seem to be a step backwards. Vladek's castle was far more interesting than these three sets. Its too bad that there aren't any small sets. I really like some of these minifigs, but I just can't justify spending $35-55 on something like this (Cdn.).

Too bad there isn't just a minifig pack.

Later.

I agree with Mr Blue and White! Except there is no "sort of" in my opinion. I'm definitely a nay sayer, but these sets do indiciate progression in the right direction.

Well the minifigs are defintely good. Rhey've got new shields and weapons, as well as new coloured armour and helmets.

The sets don't seem that great though. The boat in 8821 looks weird, and the dock isn't very good either. 8822 is OK I suppose, but there's nothing much to it. 8823 is the best by far, but it's not as good as Vladek's Castle this year. It looks pretty cool, with some nice details.

-the helmets look great! i wish they'd spend as much time and money on designing and producing swords!

-i'm disappointed in the theme, tho. we've seen it all before: a castle, a smaller castle, a few more or less sophisticated weapons and that's it! with all the detailed bricks, heads, minifigs lego produces for other themes, they surely must be able to come up with more appealing, detailed sets than these. and you can forget about building an army as well... in all, there may be 10 figs. Sure, they want you to buy a large number of (expensive) sets with 1-2 figs, instead of sets with only figs, but they're really pushing it...

The sets look defenitly better than the previous KK2 lines. LEGO is going in the right direction. Another good thing is that there is much more grey (or bley :P ) compared to the Castle of Morcia, Tower of Orlan, etc. The boat is one of the things that immediatley caught my attention, to me it looks like a copy of this:
