sam89 Posted December 17, 2005 Author Posted December 17, 2005 and you can forget about building an army as well... in all, there may be 10 figs. Sure, they want you to buy a large number of (expensive) sets with 1-2 figs, instead of sets with only figs, but they're really pushing it... I count thirteen figs in all three sets, which isn't bad. I can see: - 2 Rogue Knights - Kentis (x2) - Vladek - King Jayko - Sir Ardic (x2) - Dracus - Karzon (x2) - A mystery figure in the biggest castle (by the opening on the second level) - A mystery figure in the smaller castle (the one with the axe) Quote
Cutty Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 these look nice. though I'll pass my final judgement over better quality pics only. Quote
crispen Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 overall i think there to bland. even though i love knights-kingdom, i only spend my money on the maxifigs. but i might get the smallest one for figures. Quote
languages Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 I dont think they are that good.... Quote
xwingyoda Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 I think they fit perfectly in the KK universe: great figs and great part sets ;) Quote
Dragon King Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 OMG :oD Defently buying some of these. Evrything is great the figs and the castles seem more like the fright KNights which were awsome. :-D Quote
KMOI Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Amen to that Dragon! I really hope they get the colours right for the figs, regardless of reused molds or not. I really hope Karzon's helmet and armour will be a copper tone. Afterall, who doesn't like a scratched up copper? :-D Quote
Echo Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Bleh. I don't like those They look like they were thrown together at the last minute. Quote
Kahgarak Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Cool! But i hope that tower is not the Tower of Ages.I expect the Tower of Ages to be more ruin-like,like the Citadel in 2004. Quote
Khorne Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Cool! But i hope that tower is not the Tower of Ages.I expect the Tower of Ages to be more ruin-like,like the Citadel in 2004. What's the Tower of Ages? Quote
Lost Viking Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 They look alright. but what Echo said, it looks like they were done last minute. Quote
DarthBrick429 Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 They look alright. I think I may need to see a closer look at them to judge them more. Well done, Lego! You have made a nice choice reincarnating the fright knight features! :-D Quote
Guest The HMAN Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 is that battering ram on front of boat Quote
sam89 Posted December 17, 2005 Author Posted December 17, 2005 I don't think so, it would be pretty hard to move back and forwards to batter a door down with a boat ;) Quote
gylman Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 As a long time classic-castle person my response is......................... *sick* Sorry. Gyl (yes the figs are better, all else is worse). Quote
Darkness Falls Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Those better be some Prototypes. Like, "We-had-nothing-to-do-so-we-threw-some-pieces-together-and-took-some-pictures" Prototypes. There's no bulk in these sets! AT ALL. The minifigures are fine, but the castles are... G'jankas. Horrible. There better be a Vladek's Castle-like set to pull this line through this wave. Quote
optimus-convoy Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 I like the slightly darker tone. The sets look ok. Nothing's really calling to me at the moment, but I'll save final judgement for went I see clearer pics. Quote
Cutty Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 all those complaining about how these sets look "thrown together last minute express" seem to have forgotten what makes lego so special. pure set-collectors might be pissed though... p.s.: the language filter does not work properly... Quote
Khorne Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 I don't think so, it would be pretty hard to move back and forwards to batter a door down with a boat ;) A battering ram on a boat isn't meant to break gates, it's meant to sink hostile boats by crashing it into the hul ;) . Quote
gusmoore17 Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 As a knights' kingdom 2 fan, I am very happy to say that this 2006 sets look much much much better than the one's from 2.1 and 2.2 collections, in fact, I think we're now about to see real lego castles, real armour and a stronger history involving those sets. This is great, because now the old castle fans can't deny that this new line is the closest to an old castle style............awesome!!!!!11 :oo *harry* Quote
thewrenagator Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 not impressed, but i would like to see a better shot of the new knights. (i only collected the knight minifigs from the KK2 line 1). Quote
SuvieD Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 This is great, because now the old castle fans can't deny that this new line is the closest to an old castle style Actually these sets couldn't be further from the older castle stuff. -they have more weapons -better armor -more hosre accessories -new seige equipment -more detailed pieces -better parts for other MOCs I would say these are better in all aspects except basic bricks and plant life. Governor Mister Phes Posted December 19, 2005 Governor Posted December 19, 2005 This is great, because now the old castle fans can't deny that this new line is the closest to an old castle style Actually these sets couldn't be further from the older castle stuff. If by "old style castle" he's referring to Fright Knights then I'd agree with him :D Quote
