posades Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 (edited) When trying to come up with a MOC for my Forestmen, I wanted to create an opposite faction that they could fight against. In my mind the Forestmen are allies of the castle, so it didn't really make sense for them to be against the Crownies. Instead I came up with a more nefarious version of a forestman: Hope you like them, trying to work them into a MOC right now so we'll see how it goes. Edited July 11, 2009 by posades Quote
Dwarfinator Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Pretty cool. Could I maybe help you with some other Dark Forestmen MOCs? These have interested me greatly... Quote

Sure you can, just give me credit if you use the figs in your MOC's. Maybe we can come up with some ideas together. So you don't know who is the prisoner in 6077? http://peeron.com/scans/6077-2/6/ I like your faction though. You might just change arms to green. As I said, in my mind's eye the Forestmen protect the Castle folk from the Dark Forestmen; as for your picture, I'll pretend I never saw it... And I thought about swapping the arms to maybe green or black, but I'm not a big fan of changing arms on torsos unless I have to. Quote
Tom Bricks Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Thats a good use of that torso. I have a bunch and have never really had any good uses. I also thought of the forestmen on the crownies side. Quote
posades Posted July 15, 2009 Author Posted July 15, 2009 Those dude are sweeeeeet! Thanks. Thats a good use of that torso. I have a bunch and have never really had any good uses. I also thought of the forestmen on the crownies side. I know, that torso always seemed forest-ey to me (is that pine cone armor? ), though it was a little too dark for regular forestmen to use. I need to pick up a few more on Bricklink when I get a chance, but it's not that high on my to-do list right now. Quote
Modulex Guy Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Since the normal forest men use a large living tree as a base, the dark forest men should be in a dead tree or cave. (future MOC maybe?) Quote
Delmar Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 dark forestmen ftw! These guys actually looks badass, makes the normal forestmen look kinda wimpy(green tight...) Quote

Be my guest, I've got so many MOC's in my head right now but unfortunately I don't have the time (or bricks) to go through with them. That's a cool idea though, building a cave sounds like a neat thing to try. dark forestmen ftw! These guys actually looks badass, makes the normal forestmen look kinda wimpy(green tight...) Haha, nothing wrong with green tights, maybe it makes them more aerodynamic when flying through the forest or something. Quote
Dwarfinator Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 What about a Dark Elf helping them? He could have a tree house type thing. Or maybe some castle ruins somewhere in the forest? That could be their main Hideout. Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 That's a good idea and I like how you did them. Quote
Wout Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 I know, that torso always seemed forest-ey to me (is that pine cone armor? ) I think it's maybe studded leather, but it really looks like pine cone. Quote
