Posted July 14, 200915 yr I have recently noticed a few errors in Instruction booklets and thought it would be interesting see if anyone else has noticed anything like this.... Sirius Black! Tisk Tisk... I thought you were only Harry's godfather. Hagrid's hands are brown, when they are meant to be fleshy.
July 14, 200915 yr I have seen minor glitches in instructions many times before, although I can't think of that many cases off the top of my head. In some cases, TLG issued corrections for the manuals. The big one that comes to mind is the 8002 Destroyer Droid. The original manual had numerous errors and the set included a 10 page secondary manual full of corrections. My 8856 also came with a corrected version of one step, printed in B&W on a normal piece of paper, although the change was pretty minor.
July 14, 200915 yr Hehe, I've spotted tonnes! One I have to point out is that in the new 2009 catalouge, the Tank droid, For the figures it had the little photo of a clone, with 'battle droid' as the caption, and Visa versa, 'Tis all muddled!

Probably because they're so specialised, minifig parts seem more prone to dodgy substitutions. Maybe this should be the 'Amusing Errors' Thread. Cutlass, you are now the keeper of the flame!
July 14, 200915 yr The legendary 6286 Skull's Eye Schooner has a mistake in the instructions In steps 17 and 18, one face of a grey 2x2 corner brick is filled black. Beneath the 2x2 black slope in the left foreground. Go to stage 16 or 19, and it is normal grey.
July 14, 200915 yr In the Brickmaster AT-TE mini set it shows you to put a piece on, then it disappears on the next page and then you repeat the step you had done two pages ago now with more pieces added on! In the end I built it correctly though. Checked back twice!
July 14, 200915 yr The parts page on The lost Tomb says it has Satipo's and Belloq" torso. There were some other Indy errors too.
July 14, 200915 yr In all the 2009 pirates sets with the with the pirate with the white shirt with green stripes, the manual shows him with white sleeves!
July 14, 200915 yr This isn't in instructions but here in the discription it says it comes with "3 Space police officers" but in the "More pictures" window it shows four!
July 15, 200915 yr When I built my Sandcrawler, there would be a 2x1 brick missing on every other page. Same thing with the UCS Falcon. It confused the crap out of me, until I figured out it was an error.
January 24, 201114 yr From my City Corner instructions. I'm pretty sure it's not normal. I have the City Corner and the instructions are fine. Weird. None of my instructions had errors.Or i didn't look for them, but through the building process i'am sure i would notice them.
January 24, 201114 yr I think I remember a correction sheet from my 8444 Air Enforcer and I think also from the NASA Discovery Mars Mission Rocket set.
