Quarryman Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 But good doctor, if we kill an innocent person ourselves today, then we're only giving the scum even more of a head start. With the inexistant information we've got, the chances of lynching an innocent citizen are far too great to take the chance. Still, a random shot in the dark (so to speak) at least has a chance of taking out someone bad, while the scum will surely take out someone good. So in the interest of getting things moving I've rolled some dice to find a random person. Vote: YG-49 - Vincent Forman.
Commander Flash Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 As much we've got accomplished from this lovely toast discussion, we need to start doing something. I Vote: Vincent Forman/YG-49
WhiteFang Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Before anyone of us starts to behave irrational, by throwing votes randomly, I will strongly suggest others or the ones whom have cast the vote, to explain their reasoning instead of jumping the bandwagon. In previous history, in most cases, the first one to go off in the first night is probable to be innocent, of course I am not discounting the fact that everyone is innocent, like myself we are all in the same boat. I will strongly suggest for all of us to start picture our steps tonight, and re-entact the scenes in our head, and share clues, if any with the rest of us, so we could have something for us to rely on. I am not sure whether to cast my vote now, as "I" hoping that the god above might shed some "light" for us during mid-day, of course we can be discussing our approach and spectulate our suspicions. I will wait awhile.
Millacol88 Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Why were we just rambling about toast? I for one, am not a fan. I also don't understand why we're accusing without any evidence. I mean, Vincent was just a little nervous when two people were killed, so he made wild accusations. Now some of you people are doing the exact same thing to him.
Quarryman Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 I also don't understand why we're accusing without any evidence. I mean, Vincent was just a little nervous when two people were killed, so he made wild accusations. Now some of you people are doing the exact same thing to him. Because we won't get any kind of evidence if we just sit around waiting for it to fall into our laps. Once we get things going we can start analysing, some of us might be able to look into what others are doing during night, etc. But for now we are completely in the dark, and in the dark any target is as good as any else. Progress requires action, please remember that.
Luke McAwesome Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 You most certainly may. Exciting? Oh yes, most exciting, I'm in toaster sales. Yes, the flagship of any kitchen is it's toaster, why I could go on for hours discussing the merits of the glorious toaster. (Wow, Shawn. Didn't see that coming. ) What are we going to do about the murders? An investigation for proof, or just random accusations? I, and a few others, know that the killer was wearing a fedora, and nobody around has one on their person. That may mean that the killer ran, no doubt.
Sandy Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Progress requires action, please remember that. And you're willing to sacrifice Mr. Forman in the altar of progress so lightly, Mr. Quinn? Damn...
Zapper Brick Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Hmmmm, Sal is right about fedora's. I think the killer of the mayor is Mr. Forman. Why? Becuase he's in a good poisition to do it easily. Good enough evidence?
Ricecracker Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Hmmmm, Sal is right about fedora's. I'm getting suspicious about you... You are always trying oust Mr. Forman, all the while you have zero evidence that you are willing to share. Then you claim to somehow know as a fact that the killer was wearing a fedora, yet you won't explain how you know. It could very well have been you, covering it up by saying that the person who committed this crime was wearing a fedora. For all I know, you could very well be threatening Sal as well, so that he doesn't reveal anything. I think the killer of the mayor is Mr. Forman. Why? Becuase he's in a good poisition to do it easily. Good enough evidence? NO! Listen to this people. I think *blank* is the killer, because possible for him to have done it. Hey Zita, I think you are the killer, because you got here so fast .
Zepher Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Mr. ah, what was it... book man. Yes, you, author. Listen, we need to start somewhere. I'm sorry if I'm the first to inform you of this, but innocent people are going to die in our search for the killers. And while there seems to be very thin evidence, at least we have something on Mr. Forman. The scum have already made the first move, and killed two people in our otwn. We can not permit them to make the second. On that note, I do not feel that condemning Mr. Forman is the correct move. Perhaps Mr. Author is correct. Perhaps our move will be to do nothing. We have nothing to work on, so unless anything else surfaces, I will not be voting today. And on a final note, I'd like to thank my friend Shawn for the lovely new toaster I purchased from him the other day. It's not even on the market yet, I understand, and he went out on a great limb to get it to me. Michelle, make yourself useful and fetch it to show these kind people.

Listen, Stephen, I actually agree with you, and I hope we're on the same side here. Something needs to be done, but not today. Today we've only got a too high of a risk to make things even worse. I'm sure that tomorrow morning, we all wake up a bit wiser - if we wake up at all, that is. Morbid, I know, but so is this game... of life. I too choose not to vote today. Instead, I will order a cold beer to wash down these absolutely delicious pancakes. Cheers!

Hey Zita, I think you are the killer, because you got here so fast . I got the pictures from the big voice in the sky. OOC: Psst! Check the sign-up thread for a clear pic of the killer with a fedora(end OOC) Zero evidence, yes, but is that better than the -1 evidence for everyone else? We've gotta do something here, and we can't just let the mafia kill us all.

What I don't understand is why you think anything will be different tomorrow. Yes, there are probably people among us capable of doing things to improve our chances of finding the scum among us. But I'd be very surprised if these people can just come out in the open with what they know just like that, if they do they will after all expose themselves to the scum and become attractive targets. So how long are you guys planning to sit around and do nothing?
Escape The Fate Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Hello, so our lead is a Fedora, who looks good in a Fedora? Zita, you are acting quite suspicious right now, and if I was forced to vote it would be for you. Hey how long until the day is over?
Zapper Brick Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Hello, so our lead is a Fedora, who looks good in a Fedora? Zita, you are acting quite suspicious right now, and if I was forced to vote it would be for you. Hey how long until the day is over? Hello good sir, yes, our only lead seems to be a fedora. You chances of being in the mafia are as high as mine, and a day, my good sir, lasts five days.
Zepher Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 What I don't understand is why you think anything will be different tomorrow. Until evidence surfaces. If we don't kill someone, there are most likely one death today/tonight. If we do kill someone, then there will be two deaths today/tonight. And a fedora is not a lead. I can go home and grab a fedora, and put it on if you want. That would not make me the killer. Clothing can be changed. I will wait here with Sanders and watch you try to make a conviction, and probaly luahg at you quite a bit. That being said, if anyone can pull a sinlg epiece of evidence, then I will vote right away.
Luke McAwesome Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Oh, for the love of all that is Holy - no offense, Father Walters - will you all just calm down? Accusations are getting us nowhere. We need solid evidence, wouldn't you think? What's that saying again...? "It's always who you least expect. - So, who here has had the least amount of accusations, or doesn't have any? There's at least ten - including the police officers, Stephan, Dr. Agon, etc. - that have not been accused of murdering the mayor and Robert's wife.
Zepher Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Very well Sal, I'll play your silly game as well. I accuse myself of being the murderer. There, now I'm out of your accusation as well. That's not evidence. Saying you think it';s people who have not been accused is silly. The accused are suspects becuase they have evidence against them, and some of the accusing can be suspects as well, simply becuase they are too quicck to accuse with out evidence, though that doesn't apply to all who accuse.
Luke McAwesome Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Very well Sal, I'll play your silly game as well. Who's playing? This is a serious matter. I accuse myself of being the murderer. Why? I was just saying examples. I'm not accusing you. I'm just pointing out some people who have yet to be seen as a suspect. Of course it's not evidence, Stephan. Accusing yourself is rather silly. The evidence is not against you as of yet. All are innocent until proven guilty.
Zepher Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 I'm sorry. I must have misunderstood your post. and your correct. This is no game. I'm sorry, I'm just rather edgey after such awful events.
Quarryman Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 All are innocent until proven guilty. Incorrect. In a situation such as this everyone is guilty until proven innocent.
Luke McAwesome Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Incorrect. In a situation such as this everyone is guilty until proven innocent. That's a good point, Mr. Quinn. I guess I was partly wrong. Although, we know one thing: The killer had a fedora. That's rather good for the short amount of time we've had. First thing first; the killer is not among us, unless he, or she, hid the fedora somewhere. To think that there could be a killer in our midst...
Bob Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 I don't think that voting off the police is such a good idea...No matter how corrupt he may or may not be. I for one, think that we should wait for tommorow to see what clues might come to us from the night. From there, we might be able to find out who the mafia members are. Also, maybe the killer is none of us, and just a hired gun. If the killer was on of us, then I'm not entirely sure that it would have been revealed that he has a fedora. If it was one of us, the killer would have been blacked out, with no fedora. Just as it has been in previous games... of life.
