Quarryman Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 If we do not vote today, then it is a wasted opportunity. We will be letting the mafia walk all over us! We may not know who the mafia is yet, and in all likeliness we never will know for certain until they are dead, but does that mean we should just sit around and wait for evidence? We need to face the facts, clues are not going to just be handed out to us in the night, and then we happily solve the case. If that was going to work, the police would have settled this matter months ago, and we wouldn't be here! No, we will not achieve anything unless we act people, and action requires taking risks. Thank you doctor for putting my thoughts so much more elegantly than an uneducated chef like myself could possibly do, that's exactly what I've been trying to say too.
Luke McAwesome Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Indeed, Dr. Agon. You're right. I guess we should try to figure something else out. What about this; is there anyone among us that is somewhat close to the mayor, (Emotionally, of course)?
Darth_Legois Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 What are we going to do about the murders? An investigation for proof, or just random accusations? I, and a few others, know that the killer was wearing a fedora, and nobody around has one on their person. That may mean that the killer ran, no doubt. Well if you were the murderer would you walk around with the same fedora on? think about that. So overall, We have hardly anything to go by on. I agree we must vote today otherwise the mafia will probable use this as a opportunity...Of course some innocent people will die, This is what we agreed to when we signed up ...to make this mob Lets think who'd have a motive to kill the mayor: His rival, "Mr.Biggs". Someone he cheated? Maybe he owed the mafia some money or something. I either one of those two. also who killed Gloria? I dont think she'd be killed for no reason, I think someone else said earlier she probable saw who killed the mayor, Which would explain why she was killed to.
Bob Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 I guess if we really have to; Vote: Vincent Forman/ YG-49 All aboard the bandwagon.
Ricecracker Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 If we do not vote today, then it is a wasted opportunity. As Dr. Agon says, we will be wasting the precious time we have, so therefore, I am going to Vote: Vincent Forman/YG-49
Hinckley Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 As Dr. Agon says, we will be wasting the precious time we have, so therefore, I am going to Vote: Vincent Forman/YG-49 I must follow my wife's lead. Vote: Vincent Forman/YG-49 I don't trust a questionable officer of the law. He carries a firearm on top of it all.
Darth_Legois Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 For reasons previously stated i'll Vote: Vincent Forman/ YG-49
Shadows Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 This is always the dilemma we face on the first day of situations like this, how to make an informed vote. In this case, I can see a little bit of suspicious behaviour, and that's all we've got, so, to get things moving, I'll go along with the crowd and ... Vote: Vincent Forman/YG-49

In this case, I can see a little bit of suspicious behaviour, and that's all we've got, so, to get things moving, I'll go along with the crowd and ... I could not agree more sir. We need to vote today, and I think Vincent is probably our best bet for the moment. Vote: Vincent Forman (YG-49) We may not be certain, but at least it is progress I guess. Now that we've got the dirty stuff done, anyone care for some more coffee?
Zepher Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Argon, you have moved the people of this town to vote on little to no evidence. I will be watching you. You talked sadly about innocents being killed if we didn't take action, and now it is quite possible that an innocent life will be taken on no evidence. You said we needed to vote someone off, but gave no clues to who, and followed others so while you're the reason for the vote, you aren't he who pointed the finger, so you won't look like you tried to kill off innocents. If you are correct about Mr. Forman, I will eat my words, and bow down to your knowledge, and help you if you need it. If you're wrong, you will be doubted by me. And I am a powerful man Dr. Argon.
WhiteFang Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Before I cast my vote, I need to be sure of something about Vincent Forman. He might be a new cop, and an inexperienced one indeed as he made a serious accussations at the start of this game of life. I will strongly encourage that he should speak up now before he doom himself, and if possible I will hope to see the rest of his police collegues to speak up too, even his superior. So far, the citizens have been discussing, how about the authority? I understand that we need to have actions in order to have results and voting can be easy, but I will want to see how the rest of the police reacts, and this is an important observation.

I dislike being singled out by you, really. This is not a matter of innocence or not, sir, but a matter of action. In this place, we are all guilty until proven innocent. We are most unlikely to get any evidence at all, and thus we must vote by our instincts, would you not agree? Some people here have pointed out that Vincent has been acting suspiciously, and I am happy to go with that, because we have nothing else, and we need to get something done, otherwise we will get nowhere. I find it strange that a few of us are suggesting that we simply sit here and wait for the Mafia to kill a few more people, while hoping they hand us some evidence on a platter. That isn't going to happen. While it is true that Vincent may be innocent, he appears, at the current moment, to be the best person to vote for, unless you have a better suggestion? He has clearly misunderstood the purpose of our venture, and even if he is innocent, would most likely be a hazard to our success in the future. That is why I am happy to agree with all these other like-minded people. If we do not act, we will die. It is that simple. I for one don't want to be sitting doing nothing when the Mafia calls, I want to be fighting back. There are always casualties in war, remember that people.
Stash2Sixx Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 As much as I would like to tell you that Officer Forman is a fine upstanding man of the law, I can't. After these past few months, this city has fallen into disarray and I don't know who I can trust during these times. I'm afraid excitement and power may have gotten to Officer Forman's head just a little bit and that's why we see him so eager to condemn someone. But I can also see how this could become a liability in the future. I did encourage you to sit down and discuss matters with me Officer, but you still haven't; why is that? So as of right now, my decision is still unclear. I have seen others pass blame just as fast as Officer Forman did, and then there are also those that can't think for themselves and just jump on a bandwagon, which is always trouble! Any chance the voice could let us know where we are at in the day and/or drop any light onto our current situation?

His inexperience has caused him a high price. It's most unfortunate, but its likely that he is unable to survive tonight based on his reputation, and from his pointing fingers, this bode bad omens for him. I am still reclutant to vote for him, but I want to hear his statement. Any chance the voice could let us know where we are at in the day and/or drop any light onto our current situation? I believe we could count the numbers of our current votes too, and how many more to conviction?
keetong Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Well just standing round here doing nothing isn't going to get us anywhere so Vote: Vincent Forman/YG-49

Stash2Sixx Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Wether or not he is innocent or guilty...until I have proof, I have to back my fellow officers. Not that it seems to matter much at this point though. You have beer with your pancakes Artie? Is that good?
