While he isn't too old for more dramatic movies, I agree that he is too old for a movie like Indiana Jones. He just looked out of place in the last one. If they continue the series, I will see the movie. I just hope they don't go for the 50's/60's cheesy Sci-Fi approach that they took on the last one. They did just fine with the more religious and historical themes with the first three. I don't know why they switched.

I think it's because that type of stuff sells to a bigger majority of movie-goers.

Atlantis, if they do it, would be Sci-fi as well. There is more than one type of sci-f, such as what we all of think of when the word comes to mind (I.e Star Wars or Star Trek) Another is Historic Sci-fi, the first and third Indys. Then there is Horror Sci-fi, what the second movie tried to focus on.

I don't think that a fifth Indy should be made, because the fourth just wasn't the same without Harrison Ford's stunts, and no one could replace him as Indy. Shia is good as the main role in Transformers, not Indy.

I just read here that Ford is willing to play Indy again as long as the script is good. If the script of the last one was good enough for him to join the crew, why not this one.

I know I'll probably be mauled for saying this, but I actually really enjoyed Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, unlike most people here. Many of the things people had issue with (Shia, the aliens, heavy use of CGI) did not bother me much at all, and I really enjoyed all the nods to the Indy legacy and some of the new characters. The only things I truly did not like were the nuclear fridge scene and the obviousness of the alien reveal (would have rather had the alien's true form to be mysterious and hidden), but overall I enjoyed it far more than all three of the Starwars Prequels combined, and would go see a sequel if they made one.

That is, as long as the sequel isn't actually a Mutt Williams spinoff of the Indiana Jones series. For me, it's either they keep Harrison Ford as the lead, or not make a sequel at all. Mutt was fine as a sidekick, but I don't think even I could tollerate a whole movie centered on him.
