Over the past few days, I've noticed that threads don't display like they used to anymore. Normally, a thread would have all of its replies follow it in proper order. Now, instead of the actual replies, there's a clickable list in their place. I have to click each link individually to read the replies! That's extremely annoying, especially for large threads, or for searching for specific text on a page. (Before you ask, I should mention that I've made NO changes to my profile, board settings, etc.)

Any way to put things back the way they were?

Up in the right hand corner of the first post, there is a button that says options. Click it, and a list will come down. Under "Display Modes" you have it set to outline. To make it back to normal, or default, click Standard, to switch it back. I think there was already a topic on this, but I don't know where.

Thanks for that tip. Although I'm not OP, I remember I had this problem back then. I didn't know what to do and I was getting pissed. Fortunately, I had to reformat my PC. When I went online here, everything was alright.

We have a mega topic on this issue here. I'll merge this topic later.

The funny thing is you have... but probably not by choice. From what I've heard from other members (and what I've seen once myself) following external links such as ones from Google can alter this setting.

Ah, I remembered when this happened a few months ago to me. I freaked out, thinking that this was permanent, and I spent like ten minutes looking for how to change it back to normal. I finally found that options button by myself at the top right and fixed it.

That really sucked when it happened to me first, because I was seriously considering leaving EB. I thought it was a permanant change and I decided it would be too annying to continue using the boards. Fortunately I decided to send one of the staff a PM before I left and I found out it wasn't actually a permanant change to the forum, but a wierd involuntary change in my settings.
