iamded Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Been obsessing about Adventure Time recently, although the obsession is drawing to a halt now. I've watched a lot of cast and creator interviews, and re-watched a ton of episodes though. Even had a go at drawin' up some of the characters. Love that show. Pendleton Ward is such a chill guy. just2good Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 In MLP:FiM news, Hasbro is contemplating on changing Derpy's name! They must have gotten an angry email from a parent that thought Derpy was slang for retard. Show your support for Derpy here! Quote
Oky Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I didn't watch the X-Men anime, when my favourite characters either do not appear or have a 30-second cameo in the last episode I would rather seek out something else. I am working through the old cartoon, I found the DVDs really cheap a while back. Looking forward to the DC Nation shorts. The Aardman one I have seen was fab, going to have to take a gander at the interwebz for them as I doubt CN in the UK will play them when I can watch. Can't wait for new Teen Titans shorts and the others. Same here. I'm watching the original on Netflix. It's alright; very cheesy, but that's excusable considering the time it was made in. Still not as bad as the Iron Man cartoon(s). And yes, I too can't wait for DC Nation! Also, I just found out that the new season of the Avengers will air in April, which is perfect as that is also the release date for the Lego sets and will get us pumped for the movie in May! Quote
just2good Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Well, the Hub has removed everything MLP related with Derpy in it. Derpy is gone... Quote
just2good Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 A new clip from "Read It and Weep", the next MLP:FiM episode! Indiana Dash! Quote
Tamamono Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 A new clip from "Read It and Weep", the next MLP:FiM episode! *snip* Indiana Dash! Love it! It looks like Rainbow learns to really immerse herself in the story. I can't wait until tomorrow morning! Quote
just2good Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 (edited) Today's MLP episode was another great one! Watching it with widescreen made the Daring Do segments seem cinematic. I also really liked it when RD broke into the hospital. Like always, there were a few really funny parts. Overall, I rate it a 8.75/10. Edited February 18, 2012 by just2good Quote

More hospital ponies, the interior of Rainbow's house, Daring Do, and lots of 'squee'! Quote
K-Nut Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 A new clip from "Read It and Weep", the next MLP:FiM episode! *video* Indiana Dash! This is the first clip I've seen from MLP:FiM, and it's actually pretty good! And no, Tammo. I'm not defecting to Bronyness. Quote

iamded Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I did rather enjoy the latest episode more than others. Could be that it was centered on my favourite character, could be that Rainbow Dash looks adorable in a ninja outfit. Either way, it was awesome. Quote
Aanchir Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Well, the Hub has removed everything MLP related with Derpy in it. Derpy is gone... Just learned that the whole Derpy ruckus Fracas! ...That the whole Derpy Fracas seems to be coming to an end. This post suggests that Derpy's name will not be changed, WeLoveFine has returned all the original names to their Derpy merchandise, and the Hub put the original Derpy clip on their website unedited. So it seems like it was probably an instance of Hasbro's various underlings playing it safe while waiting on official approval in light of the controversy, but that the official word has turned up in favor of the name Derpy after all. iamded Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Anyone catch the new episode? It aired early for a brief moment on itunes, which people snapped up and shared around. Quite a good on, I thought. Quote
just2good Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 'Heart and Hooves Day' was another great episode! 9.25/10 There was some funny parts, and the plot was pretty well put together. I also liked how the music would distort whenever something would go wrong Quote
Tamamono Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Anyone catch the new episode? It aired early for a brief moment on itunes, which people snapped up and shared around. Quite a good on, I thought. Nope, I was able to stay strong until it aired this morning! It was an amazing episode, though! A Sweetie Belle song, new Big Mac lines (), new pony holiday, oxen are now canon, a jewelry store, and more Cheerilee! Quote
Peanuts Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 (edited) Nope, I was able to stay strong until it aired this morning! It was an amazing episode, though! A Sweetie Belle song, new Big Mac lines (), new pony holiday, oxen are now canon, a jewelry store, and more Cheerilee! I tried to withstand the temptation, but I succumbed yesterday. Anyway, it was really good. I liked all the stallions in the song, especially the one with the jelly obsession. I really had to laugh hard at that. I guess, a psychiatrist could make quite a fortune in ponyville. And more depth for Big Mac and Cheerilee, a catchy song, and the CMC as Shippers, what else could you wish for? Edit: Oh, and I forgot about arcade games and pony funerals. Edited February 11, 2012 by Peanuts Quote
just2good Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Forgot to post about it early this week, but here's a link to the MLP:FiM parody on Mad: It wasn't really funny. I guess it was cool how they got Tara to do Twilight's voice, and how they had a brony shout-out. Also, I saw the new Regular Show episode, "Butt Dial". I give it an 8/10 It was a decent episode, and I really liked the interaction between Margret and Mordecai throughout the episode. Like always, there were a few funny parts here and there. Quote
Batbrick Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Been rewatching Baccano! recently. Fantastic anime with a very good English dub, of which there are few. The characters are fantastic and frequently hilarious, and I love that there isn't really a default main character. And I'll never get sick of Isaac and Miria's insane brand of logic. Batbrick Away! Nightshroud99 Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Maybe someone should change the title to "Talk about the latest My Little Pony Episode" Quote
Batbrick Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Maybe someone should change the title to "Talk about the latest My Little Pony Episode" Well I've been doing my part ot avoid that, and I love the show. Unfortunately at the moment there's a bit of a lull in terms of cartoons. And Young Justice doesn't return for a while, and the best cartoon, Legend of Korra, is still a bit away. That said, did anyone catch the last episode of season 3 of Adventure Time? New ove interest for Finn, and Fire Princess is indeed awesome. But even more so to add to the awesome was KEITH DAVID! Need I say more? Batbrick Away! Quote

But even more so to add to the awesome was KEITH DAVID! Need I say more? Yes! That was amazing. I've been playing a lot of Mass Effect, so my first reaction was "Is that Captain Anderson? My god, it is!" (Keith David plays Captain Anderson in Mass Effect, for those that didn't piece that together. ) So that was awesome. Some neat new characters introduced in that episode, and some more of Rebecca Sugar's wonderful song-writing showing. Quote
just2good Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Maybe someone should change the title to "Talk about the latest My Little Pony Episode" It's nice to see Nightshroud99 talking ponies. So I have a question Nightshroud, what do you think about MLP:FiM? Speaking of MLP:FiM, I'm looking forward to the new episode tomorrow. Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) Loved the new MLP episode! Four songs, Smile Smile Smile, Rose named, Derpy in a snow globe, continuity of previous episodes, tons of new background ponies, a felt scene, my new favorite episode! -Sci Edited February 18, 2012 by CM4S Quote
Tamamono Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Well, that was a great episode! We finally got Smile Smile Smile, Pinkie Pie being adorable and breaking the 4th wall, lots of background ponies, new species in Equestria, Roseluck finally got a line, continuity with other episodes (Rainbow reading the Daring Do novels), what's not to love!? How do I add a spoiler tag...? Just like you add a quote tag, except with 'spoiler' instead of 'quote'. Quote

Honestly, Rainbow reading Daring Do in the library made my day. Together with the song, of course. I also liked how they played out the rather long introduction and fluenty gave way to the actual plot twist. Frankly, at that point I expected something like the Simpsons episode with Frank Grimes, since Pinkie can be capable of driving people/ponies/donkeys insane . The ending was quite good, too. Yes, there's nothing not to love about it. It was nice to see more of Pinkie Pie again, but I still want a Rarity episode Well, all in good time. Just like you add a quote tag, except with 'spoiler' instead of 'quote'. Or you simply choose "Spoiler" from "Other styles". Quote
