Hate making another post after the last one was made by me, but I caught up on LoK this weekend, and I finally got around to seeing the season finale. All I have to say is REALLY. REALLY. GOOD.

Well I saw the finale of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and I will be falling into depression shortly...

Why must this beautiful tale end! Why? So much was left unsaid, so much left to tell. What about Registration? Or Surtur? What about Yellowjacket? Will he ever regain his full sanity?

...Phoenix this might be the last time I get to witness Wasp's hilarity. I mean yes I can always watch reruns, but still. I...I feel like a part of me just died inside. Two seasons wasn't enough. That was more than Wolverine and the X-Men, but it is just too soon. It deserved to last longer.

Agreed, I felt like the finale was super-rushed and didn't do justice to the series. Oh well, lets just hope the new avengers cartoon is even better! :classic:

Is there already confirmation that A:EMH will be cancelled? I heard those were just rumors?

I've just finished watching all of the episodes (Season 1 & 2) I must say this was one of the most enjoyable cartoon series I've watched, I'd even say far more entertaining than the Avengers movie or the Clone Wars series. It would be a shame if they would end this, I really liked how the series stuck with the classical look of the characters and how they touched on various storylines in the Marvel universe. If indeed this is the end of the run, I guess it's just the classical case of good things must come to an end (like JL and JLU).

It is confusing, there was a fabricated fake announcement that it was ended, then I think there was an official one, then some people say it was just not renewed, others claim it is cancelled, honestly the emotional roller coaster has made me physically unwell. But I think the verdict is that it is ca-ca-ca-cancelled, and that a new Avengers Show will be made in the same universe and style of that Ultimate Spidermen show. I can only hope that at the least they make a Tv Movie featuring the final battle against Surtur, which would warp up at last most of the loose ends.

I agree, this show was probably the best cartoon I ever saw, and one of the most impacting. Before Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes I didn't even know Wasp, Black Panther, Kang, Ultron, The Leader, Hawkeye, The Serpent Society, Winter Soldier, Enchantress, Executioner, and Zemo, and now I can't imagine not knowing them. I mean Wasp is now pretty much my favorite superhero now, easily in my top three. If only there had been time for her to fight alongside Spiderman. And there were so many great storylines, Gamma World, Kang's first invasion, the Skrull invasion, Ultron's start of darkness...

...I just don't know what to do now. I mean Fullmetal Alchemist has ended, Bionicle has ended, and now this. Does anything last? How much longer does Young Justice and Transformers Prime have? How much longer does Marvel and DC have? How much longer does society as we know it have? The human race? The Earth? How much longer do I have? Will I be remembered fondly? Will only my flaws be remembered? Will I be forgotten, like a old television show or a character who hasn't been used in years? Is there a point to me? Am I pointless.

Yeah it's cancelled, but they've already announced a new one which will tie in with the recen tmarvel movies called Avengers Assemble. It's all the movie characters plus Falcon.

It looks okay, but there was some old world charm about the designs in earths mightiest heroes that I will miss. I mean, nothing beats Hawkeye in purple :cry_sad: My favourite part about EMH is that it was just like reading a moving comic book. I'm going to miss it.

Um, I'd say to relax, but that probably won't do you any good

My thoughts exactly. I don't like how they've now scratched characters like Black Panther and Wasp that have yet to appear in the cinematic universe. :sceptic: I have been reading some of the new Captain America comics with Falcon, so I'm excited to see him in a bigger role. :sweet:

Aww damn. :hmpf_bad: I really loved that series, even if the animation is a bit simplistic, the way the series went all-out in maximizing different character appearances and touching on various storylines are the great points IMO. The new one does look promising, the animation artwork looks much better and more comic-like based on the image. But my main concern about this series being tied-in with the recent Marvel Movies is the expected limitation of the different characters appearing in the series. Like what K-Nut said, it's a shame that we won't be seeing the likes of Wasp and Black Panther, or Ant-man (until his rumored movie comes up). Those three were integral parts of the Avengers in EMH, and Wasp and Ant-Man were two of the original members of the Avengers yet they were not included to the current cinematic Avengers (at the moment). I couldn't care less about Falcon, I think he's a so-so hero.

And yes, as much as a highly colorful hero outfit would look ridiculous in the modern world, I still prefer the vintage purple Hawkeye (at the very least in a cartoon series).

I really hope this new series would outperform its predecessor, and I'll be eagerly anticipating this one.

I discovered the old justice league (united) and I must say, I forgot how much I enjoyed it when I was younger :cry_happy:

United or Unlimited?

Yeah JLU was a great series as well, I just love superhero-superteams cartoons (Uncanny X-Men, Justice League, JLU, the recently-cancelled Avengers EMH, but NOT the dorky-looking The Super Hero Squad Show).

I'm not sure how it happened...but I was reading this thread while surfing Netflix, and I found MLP:FiM. Damn, I wish I didn't download it, I seem to have come down with a bad cas of Brony-itus. Watched the entire first two seasons in less than two weeks, and I'm working on my second playthrough, now searching for Derpy in every episode. It's quite fun, really.

So, I have heard a rumour that Young Justice is going to be cancelled so that the Teen Titans comedy cartoon will play.

This displeases me.

I have no web sources as yet, but I do know that the "success" of the new teen titans shorts means a full series will occur. Sadly, instead of the character arc focused plotted series of the first Teen Titans run, we'll be getting all comedy all the time. A great loss considering character and depth is what made Teen Titans and Young Justice so good.

That said, I do not give the rumour much credit however it seems just the kind of thing WB would do. :sceptic:

That's sad.

I never watched Young Justice and I barely watched Teen Titans but I'm not really for the comedy driven new Teen Titans series. They should just let Young Justice and the Teen Titans comedy cartoon co-exist on DC nation, as there is barely any shows on that block.

Welcome to the herd. :)

The Legend of Korra season finale was really good IMO. But I need to stop losing touch with how divided the fandom can be about these things. I've heard that a lot of people hated the finale, even if they had enjoyed the rest of the series.

With LoK over for now, I'm going to have little incentive to watch TV regularly, but thankfully the Ninjago TV series will be back next month, so that should hold me over at least until I get back to college.

I hope to hell not! That would suck royally, but it seems like the kinda things companies do nowadays, well, ever since A:EMH got cancelled, it seems all networks follow similar "oh, the fans are enjoying the show? well thats not good, lets cancel it! That'll make the fans happy!" mantra.

What do you think is going to happen in season 2 of LoK? Since Amon is dead :cry_sad: who's the villain? Now that there is an organized government the avatar can't just go vigilante and fight crime

I am not sure that he is dead. The person in the boat with Tarlokk could have been a decoy.

I think he's dead. Or at least I hope he's dead. That boat scene was the best part of the season finale for just how powerful it was.

It was a powerful scene. What I wonder about is why Amon had his "scar"("?") when/after he was in the water, but not when he walked into Tarlokk's cell. The water didn't wash it off, so perhaps it is real. Additionally, Amon did not know when/if he would take off his mask, so why would he have the "scar" on at the rally?Remember that plastic surgery exists, so it is possible that the man in the boat was a decoy.

Good points. I always thought that he planned the whole thing out at the rally that Korra would take off his mask.

And for pony related stuff ( ), the second "Anthology" video came out today at Bronycon.

1 hour and 22 minutes long.

Whoops I was reading about an old cartoon series Avengers: United They Stand just before I posted that

Really? Where did you hear that? I thought it was pretty good too and don't see how one could have hated it. We even finally got to see Korra in the Avatar state, as brief and tacked-on-at-the-end as it may have been. :sweet: Now that Amon is dead (he must be dead; otherwise his death scene would have been pointless) I'm guessing that Lieutenant "Moustache Guy" will take over as leader of the equalists and devise a new plan for getting rid of benders, perhaps with some kind of invention from Hiroshi. We'll have to wait and see.

It's indeed sad to hear that Avengers:EMH will be ending soon. It's a great show, and while the rumors for the next Avengers show sound promising, I doubt that it will be able to replace it. And I sure hope that rumor about a Teen Titans comedy show is as false as it sounds. That would be just stupid.

By the way, anyone still watching Penguins of Madagascar? The show is getting stale, and recently they have been increasingly making fun of bronies. :sceptic:
