February 8, 200619 yr Ya, those stickers pissed me off! It took more time to put them on then building the actual model.
February 13, 200619 yr Thanks for the review! At least with stickers you can reuse the pieces :) God Bless, Nathan
February 13, 200619 yr I don't use the stickers because I'm buying these for parts. The only sets I sticker are my SW sets because they're display only.
February 13, 200619 yr Why is it called Thunder Fury? Is it because it strikes like thunder? And why is the other one called Grand Titan? By calling it grand, that is implying that it is big, and a titan is somthing big. So dosn't that mean it pretty much means a big somthing thats big? -l2k-
March 1, 200618 yr Why is it called Thunder Fury? Is it because it strikes like thunder? And why is the other one called Grand Titan? By calling it grand, that is implying that it is big, and a titan is somthing big. So dosn't that mean it pretty much means a big somthing thats big? -l2k- Grand is not only something big, but can also be something ambitious, diginified or great (not only physically great). Titan is usually used to describe an object that has great strength or importance. If I recall correctly, titans were also half-gods (or something to that effect) in greek mythology. (And thus, also roman mythology. Heh.) With this in mind, the name makes a bit more sense, eh? Oh, and I love the fact that they use stickers in the exo-line. As some others, I only buy sets for parts, and unprinted parts are more versatile. And, as a few builders have proved, the stickers can look really good on something completely different. Example: This by Mike Yoder.
May 1, 200618 yr i just built the Fury i got earlier from Kim at the event... and... hm... -I guess it has great playability... however, it seems to me that playability is severely limited by these hinges that are waaaaay too strong. they're not flexible because of it... the arms are also far too short, so you can't "wave" your sword... -the canon in the middle looks cool, but it doesn't rotate -the big canon looks a bit flumsy as well. In fact, the grey piece at the front isn't fixed very well. The light hose is a nice feature but i think they could have done a better job with it... -the instructions are once again not very good. the trans-red cones for instance, are fully red in my book and lego still seems to be unaware of the black/dark grey mix up... honestly, i feel this set has no balance in playability/quality of design. It doens't convince me. I'll just use the parts for other things...
May 2, 200618 yr I agree the grand titan's arms are too small, short and flimsy. On the other hand, I don
