Modulex Guy Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I decided to start building a new style of buildings and try some old European style wooden beam buildings and built a LEGO store so my townsfolk have somewhere to buy their LEGO! Here is my store: Front view Back of the store: A look through the windows: The PaB wall!: Shelves with community windows: Top View The back of the counter and PaB cup stacks: Second floor, just storage for the store: Comments always welcome! ShaddowCroc Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Hahah, totally awesome! You put a lot of detail into this, and it looks really nice! I especially enjoy the Pick-A-Brick wall and storage area, details that even an official LEGO set would probably not put in. :D Quote
Badsneaker Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Nicely done! I love the use of the LEGO signs for the awnings! Quote
5150 Lego Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Great moc! I love the pick a brick wall and cups! Very creative and the whole feel just works out perfect. It has a very down to earth and warm feel to it. Like a building you would find in a small town or village while walking down town. Very nice! Quote

It has a very down to earth and warm feel to it. Like a building you would find in a small town or village while walking down town. Very nice! Nice, next to all the interior detailing, I also like the color scheme used on the walls of the building. One question, what are the technic bricks in the shelves supposed to represent (not technic sets I assume )? Edited July 30, 2009 by Rick Quote
BlueBard Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Pretty work! And of course the interior is pretty nice, specially the PaB Quote

One question, what are the technic bricks in the shelves supposed to represent (not technic sets I assume )? If you look closely at a picture of the real store the little technic holes represent the little windows with small displays in them, the larger windows are the desplays for sets: (best pic I could find that shows the shelves with display windows) Quote
commandertyphoon Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 its amazing! and al that nice detail. Quote
prateek Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Very cool I like the yellow and brown. It goes well together Quote
Inconspicuous Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Excellent work! I love that Pick-a-Brick wall Overall a very creative and attractive MOC. Thanks for sharing this! Quote
Tom Bricks Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 This is great. I like the use of stickers on the awnings out front and the PAB wall. You got the over all hectic feel of my local lego store too with all the people trying to get the newest sets. Quote
MrTools Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 (edited) Realy good! i got a laugh when i saw you also included the big brick! The PAB wall is also a very nice touch. Kind of makes me want to make one too.... Edited July 31, 2009 by MrTools Quote
Modulex Guy Posted July 31, 2009 Author Posted July 31, 2009 Glad everyone likes the details! I'm also in the process of building other classic town buildings, pics soon! Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 That's an great MOC, Polish Guy! I really it! The exterior (mainly the front with the entrance) looks very realistic and you included a lot of details in- and outside! The most I like the PaB wall. A Lego Store is really one of the most important sets TLG should release for City! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Milan Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Nice combination of colors. Details are great, so is the front side with windows an Lego signs! Quote
Commander Flash Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Very nice little store, and the brown and yellow is a good combo. Wait, wouldn't a Lego store be like a supply store, because they build homes out of them Quote
Loganwan Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Nice design. It is the nicest LEGO store I have seen. One question: How did you attach your Pick-a-Brick wall to the ground? Quote
Modulex Guy Posted August 6, 2009 Author Posted August 6, 2009 Nice design. It is the nicest LEGO store I have seen. One question: How did you attach your Pick-a-Brick wall to the ground? Here ya go: Its two headlight bricks attached together on a 1x1 plate on the floor (1x2 plate in pic to stand it up) and then has a white edge to cover it in the building, the sides fit into a slot in the wall.
