Captain Blackmoor Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Hello all! I've made a couple more pirate themed decals. In this thread I will post my pirate decals from now on. To keep it organized. Here's the French Vice Admiral, of course this can be used for Admirals and Captains as well. And the British example: Midshipmen were people from age 16-25, captains in education. They were on ships to learn to navigate and experience with the life on sea. The French one: And the British one: Thanks for watching! Here are many more pirate themed torso decals! Quote
Hound Knight Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 More great work Cap'n, your decals are always excellent! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted August 5, 2009 Author Posted August 5, 2009 Thanks! I can add many more details on it, but I have experienced something too. With too many details the whole decal will be cluttered up and becomes ugly. Remember it will be only 1,5 cm wide. Those decals look perfect on minifigs I think. I also have to sharpen the decals, they are too pixelized in my opinion. Quote
Rick Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Thanks!I can add many more details on it, but I have experienced something too. I also have to sharpen the decals, they are too pixelized in my opinion. That's why I said 'just right' on the details: they strike the perfect balance between realism and 'Lego-like' decals. I don't know if the 'pixelization' is noticeable when you print the on minifig-scale, but if it is, you might want to smooth it out a bit more... Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Nice work Captain, indeed the detail is just right and they really have that Lego feel to 'm! Quote
