DoubleT Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 Good news Europe can now order all of the Spider-Man 2 and Harry Potter sets :D :D lHere is the Link Enjoy them, there are great sets... Quote
jonfett Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 Thanks for the link DoubleT :D! I was waiting for them to be available for us. Damn Americans.. they always get things first!!! Anyway, I ordered the Knight Bus Collection and Marauder's Map Kit from the Harry Potter series and from Spiderman I just got Doc Ock's Bank Robbery. I just want to see what these sets are like, skin tones etc.. and if I like them I might order the rest. :) Jon. Quote
ApophisV Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 hm, i would love it to get some of these sets, but i haven't even enough money to buy all the new sw-sets i want... :( (i'm still trying to complete me mini-collection... ;) ) Quote
Jipay Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 I don't want all the minis, I find some of those are bad. I try to complete the UCS line (I bought my naboo UCS starfighter fot 25 Quote
jonfett Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 I have almost completed the mini line. the only sets I am missing are the Imperial Shuttle and AT-TE. I can't seem to find them anywhere :(. As for the UCS line, I dont have many. Only the Snowspeeder and the Naboo Starfighter. I might buy the ISD one day, if I can get enough money. Quote
Jipay Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Yes, I anderstand your feeling... I am really trying to save money for the future those time, and Bam! the falcon arrives... 150 Quote
jonfett Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Hmmm, I wonder what I will do once the Star Wars license runs out. I am not really into the other lines. I suppose that when it does I will be able to spend more time and money on making some more Lord of the Rings customs. Hopefully I should be able to post a few pics of what I have done so far once DoubleT sets up the MOC forum. Jon. Quote
Jipay Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 I did the set up this morning (y) I also the added the smeileys you've asked for I guess that the end of the licence will allow more MOC's, but I wonder if LEGO will sign up for 5 more years or something like this Quote
jonfett Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 I doubt that Lego will extend the license for Star Wars. After the 3rd film there will not be much more to create so I am sure they will finish, as planned, in 2007. I hope to carry on colleting and building after 2007 but I am sure some people, who follow only Star Wars, will probably stop. Still, anything could happen. We never know. Jon. Quote
Jipay Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Just a little precision : Georges Lucas mentionned in an interview that EPIII will be his last SW movie. He also mentionned that EP III doesn't mean the end of SW... So as you said, we never know C:P Quote
ApophisV Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 but if there will be episode 7 - 9, there will be a larget time gap between them, could i imagine... maybe lego stops sw after ep 3 and will return back to starwars, when the *new* (if they are made...) movies are in the cinemas? Quote
DoubleT Posted April 16, 2004 Author Posted April 16, 2004 Well i dont think they are going to make more Star Wars after 2007. But you never know, maybe we get LOTR Lego ;) Quote
jonfett Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Yeah, LOTR lego would be great. But if they were going to release it then it would have been better to when the films were released. Still, it could happen if lego listens to what people have to say, then you never know. Jon. Quote
ApophisV Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 maybe after SW they bring back some classic style space themes, like m-tron or something like this, not that insectoids-trash.. (sorry, only my opinion.... ) Quote
jonfett Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Yeah, it would be great to see the return of Classic Space! I sure hope they dont bring out a modern space theme, the NASA sets are ogood but I wouldn't like to see any of the matians or the insectoids sets as Apophis said. Jon. Quote
ApophisV Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 oh, if they have this cool battle droid torsos and arms, THEN they can bring some martians!!! ;) IMO, the battle droid (parts) are the best new bricks the last years!!! (:D Quote
jonfett Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Yeah I suppose that they could be good for parts but I really cannot stand the sets! Jon. Quote
jonfett Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 No not the droids, I love the droids! :D I meant I cannot stand the martian sets, these guys - http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?M=lom018 <------- (n) *shudders* Jon. Quote
DoubleT Posted April 16, 2004 Author Posted April 16, 2004 He he they looks like the Martian from the movie "Signs". Are you sure that you dont find him "cute"? C:P Quote
Jipay Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Well those sets were really a disappoitment to me. Comparred to the old space sets, they cannot even compete :( They were the last and not the best space theme for LEGO Quote
ApophisV Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Are you sure that you dont find him "cute"? Why do you say this?!? :$ (read the p38-contest threat on fbtb?!?) Quote
jonfett Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Why do you say this?!? :$(read the p38-contest threat on fbtb?!?) Eh? What do you mean ApophisV?? Are you refering to a thread or something??? I am confused  Jon. Quote
