der seb Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 (edited) Hi there I started a vignette series, called "What if ... ?" Here is number 1. What if Darth Vader became a gardener? More on Flickr The idea came from a picture I found on internet. Hope you like it rgds Sebastian Edited August 11, 2009 by KimT Quote
KimT Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Now that's a well designed vignette you've done there Thanks for putting a smile on my face Quote
Commander 501 Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 (edited) That's great, put a smile on my face. I really like the idea of a DS tree. Maybe Vader could have used his lightsaber for cutting it. Can't wait for the next numbers. Edited August 6, 2009 by Commander 501 Quote
ILikePi Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Wow, that is just hilarious! But shouldn't you give credit to the creator of the sphere and original grey Death Star sphere on this thread (before everyone starts thinking that you came up with the sphere design)? http://bruce.kus-numa.net/lego/starwars/smalldeathstar.html http://bruce.kus-numa.net/lego/miscellaneous/sphere68.html http://www.flickr.com/photos/lights/3793933120/ Quote

Hi ILikePi Thanks for your comment On the one side I built these kind of spheres on my own before I discovered BrickShelf or Flickr, on the other side I already gave credits for this special Death Star design, as you can see below the pictures on Flickr. Furthermore I added an equator. Edited August 6, 2009 by der seb Quote
BlueBard Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Simply hilarious! Love the idea. Looking forward for more "what if..."s Quote
Reaper052 Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Is this the picture you based it off of? Reaper052 :skull: Quote
Mraz Skintas Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 (edited) I love it. It's smart and funny, and it also reminds me of a pic from a review by Svelte I saw while looking through the boards. I guess after Anakin got all chopped up, despite his loss, he still loved gardening. Edited August 7, 2009 by Mraz 'Skintas Quote
RileyC Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 haha cool! Thats a really good looking bush you made. This is a great moc but I think it would look cooler if darth vader had two lightsabres instead of katanas. Its fantastic and much better than anything I could do Quote
Fumoffu Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 These are funny. Thanks der seb and Mraz 'Skintas for bringing your creations to us. I have an idea about turning the DS playset into some apartment scene ... now I just need to find the $$$ to buy the set. Quote
Future74 Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 der seb, I think you did a great job on turning this into a lego vignette Looking forward to your next vignette. I think it will be very hard to top this one. Quote
KimT Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 der seb, I think you did a great job on turning this into a lego vignette Agreed. Who cares if someone else designed a sphere that looks the same? There's a limit to how many different spheres can be designed with LEGO Great job... now where's the next one? Quote
YG-49 Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 (edited) That sphere in trans-orange would replace the hologram in the Mon Calamari set perfectly.... Edited August 7, 2009 by YG-49 Quote
