MOC: Castle Modulex.

I put my MOC of my modulex castle here instead the castle section because its more "other theme" with Modulex than "castle".

Well... here is my Work in Progress of my Modulex castle:

Its taking me a long time to get this done since Modulex are tiny, hard to use with my big hands, dont really stay together well, and am very limited on the pieces I have.

I know that a lot of School Administrations have used modulex to keep track of classes, teachers and students.

Nice castle you've started there, Polish Guy. I know that modulex are basically smaller lego bricks for architects, but you said they don't fit together as well? Are they made of a softer material of some kind? I particularly like the last shot, with the "giant" knights.

It might be next to impossible to put detail into modulex mocs, but I always love to see people using them. I think it would be a nice change of pace compared to normal system Lego.

Due to them being from the 60's they are quite old and dont have the tight hold on each other, some bricks just fit a bit loose compared to the others.

It might be next to impossible to put detail into modulex mocs, but I always love to see people using them. I think it would be a nice change of pace compared to normal system Lego.

the "sand red" is actually Modulex's version of Brown, black base, orange entry, and it will have a light blue moat.

Sand red is one of my favourite LEGO colours so it's nice seeing it used in this Modulex MOC. It's too bad that sand red bricks seem to be so exceedingly rare (even LEGO 1x2 sand-red bricks are unusually expensive on bricklink). Good stuff!

Interesting, the modulex I have suffer from too tight a hold, I suspected that either the tolerances were more difficult to control, or it was assumed that they would not be disassembled...

Personally I've never been able to make sand red 'work' in any context, but the modulex shade is nicer ; )

Hello to you all, as a new member to this forum please excuse me if I don't get my first post quite right! I have recently come across my collection of Lego Modulex - stored in a bucket for many many years! I never had normal sized lego as a child and when I got the chance to play with it,itseemed huge... Your castle has really made me smile as It reminded me of the buildings I desparately tried to build ata young age. The pieces are small and sharp and very tight fitting so my young fingers were always sore. Despite scouring the web I am still looking for info on Modulex as more than half of my pieces have the lego logo on them rather than the M which seems to be more common. Also I have a lot of transparent bricks. I notice there are a few of you who have Modulex and would be very interested to hear from you!
