Dan the Brickman Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 (I hope this is in the right forum, if not, let me know, but it seemed to fit....) I have an old Lego mini-sword, (from before when the shiny great-swords were made....) The odd thing about it is, it is black! I do not know from what set it is from, because my older brother (who I got all my old castle/space sets from) never kept boxes or instructions. I looked through the Lego collectors guide, but did not see any black mini-swords pictured.... if any-one knows anything about this sword, please let me know! -Falkner Quote
Siegfried Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Yes, I have the set and sword. It's this one; Quote
JCC1004 Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 (edited) Are you refering to this? It's like a production slip or prototype. If this is it the chrome probaly came off. Yes, I have the set and sword. It's this one;snip More proof Peeron is better then BL. Edited August 9, 2009 by JCC1004 Quote

I take care of mine as a AFOL and the chrome on the handle still comes off sometimes. I also believe the sword is in the top banner, it could be dark gray. Sinner(and I refuse to use his new name) is probaly right. Edited August 9, 2009 by JCC1004 Quote
Ricecracker Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 It's right here, and only took me about 30 seconds to find...... Quote
Alice Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 I just ordered a black shortsword in an ebay lot. It's quite rare and only came in that one set. It's a little lego treasure! Quote
Siegfried Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Sinner(and I refuse to use his new name) is probaly right. Probably? Does this help? More proof Peeron is better then BL. I think Peeron is better, but BL is generally updated sooner... for obvious reasons. Thus I use BL for new sets, and Peeron for the older ones. I just ordered a black shortsword in an ebay lot. It's quite rare and only came in that one set. It's a little lego treasure! It's really odd that TLG never put it in second set... Quote
JopieK Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 It's really odd that TLG never put it in second set... LEGO is an odd company. That happens to a lot more parts if you search bricklink etc. Quote
Shadows Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Does this help? What? I thought this was the show-us-your-black-sword thread. Quote
Siegfried Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 What? I thought this was the show-us-your-black-sword thread. Nice pic. Important reminder While EB is an adult site, please be clear that we are talking about LEGO here. Some black swords don't belong on EB. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Thanks guys, now i want one too! Quote
General Armendariz Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Thanks guys, now i want one too! Me too! Quote
simonwillems Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Thanks guys, now i want one too! That can be arranged quite easily, after all these swords are sold on Bricklink for a minimal amount of money: you can already get one starting from 'just' $6,50. Of course if you want a new one it'll cost you only 19,95, so it seems... Quote
Dan the Brickman Posted August 11, 2009 Author Posted August 11, 2009 What? I thought this was the show-us-your-black-sword thread. Sure why not! (I swords) ...also, I have the pitchfork, (I found what sets it's in) and I used to have 3 gray round shields with the stud in the middle,... ...until a tragic accident in the middle of the night.... lego shield + foot = pain and eternal torment (the torment of destroying a rare iconic Lego......) also, a friend of mine said he had a Lego great-sword with a green jewel in the pommel.... ...said it was from some king Arther set, or something. I have never heard of any Lego sword with a jeweled pommel. I think it was a (forgive me!) whisper: meg@#!*K. If I am wrong, then I would like to know, but even though he does have the very first Lego yellow-brick castle.... ...he doesn't know his bricks like I do... Quote
JCC1004 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Probably? snip Does this help? My probaly and your probaly are two totally different probalies. Quote
Siegfried Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 My probaly and your probaly are two totally different probalies. Indeed; I even spell mine differently... ...also, I have the pitchfork So do I! Quote
JCC1004 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Indeed; I even spell mine differently... Thanks, no wonder why it looks so strange. Quote
Siegfried Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Thanks, no wonder why it looks so strange. <quietly> You are aware that you're spelling it wrong, aren't you? </quietly> Quote

Millacol88 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 JCC, you're still spelling probably wrong... Quote
Norro Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I was going to mention my two black swords... but I wouldn't want Sinner's mind to wander further. God Bless, Nathan Quote
blueandwhite Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 My probaly and your probaly are two totally different probalies. The difference being that the pitchfork's usefulness extends beyond mere bragging rights . The black sword is a nice accessory, but it's just a sword. The pitchfork while far more common is also pretty useful. I lost the my black sword when I was but a lad. I got over it. I broke one of my pitchforks about 15 years ago and I'm still trying to recover . Quote
