I still think there will be a new sub theme for the summer. NYC Toy Fair is the big one and they could be saving it to show with the TRU special. We still haven't seen the City House, Truck or TRU exclusive at any of the Toy Fairs so maybe there are a few sets still left in hiding, some extra Transportation sets to fit with the truck stop and Trains.

Well, World Racers is not really kept hidden, but at least I didn't see it mentioned often, and I've seen the first few pictures only today...

What about the TRU exclusive? Any info on what it might be?

I have been saying all along 'TRUCK STOP', and as there is a`TRU truck as well as a yellow Lego truck this year, not to forget the fuel tanker 3180 and last years 7642 garage and 7639 tow truck. Oh yeah and 7993 service station is now gone for good from S@H, we only need to wait until the NY toy fair to see if I'm right !

(Man, if I'm wrong - hope I like humble pie)

A few new box pics.

3221 LEGO Truck

City advent calendar

The truck just looks ridiculous with the 2x2 Fire brigade HQs. That one has to be in my collection.^^

Additional the timetable of releases:

June: LEGO Truck and farmer impulse

September: trains

October: Calendar and a second release of 10199 Winter toy shop for normal toy stores.

Looks like it comes with the 10th attempt at building a snow man and almost the same Christmas tree as last year, but lots of nice toy designs. :sweet: I remember such a drawing as box art for the calendar from last year as well, it will likely be changed by pictures of the real figures on the final box.

The truck just looks ridiculous with the 2x2 Fire brigade HQs.

Would make sense for TLG to change that picture to a set that is actually in production at the time it's released. Even better would be a whole sticker sheet with shrunken box designs of true Lego classics from the 1980s until now (or some pictures of some of the Lego Exclusives).

About the Advent Calendar:

It's great to see that we'll be getting a whole family.

And the mini heli looks great, too.

That there will be again a brick-built Xmas tree, a snowman and a Santa is really unspectacular but ok since this set is mainly aimed to kids. :sceptic:

About the Lego Truck:

Seeing now a much clearer version I must say that it looks even better than I thought it'll look anyway.

There seem to be different mini Lego sets and the truck has some doors at the backside, too.

Do you think that there'll be sleeper-cab with bed inside the driver's cab?

That the 10199 Winter Toy Shop will be released in regular toy shops this year allows the conclusion that there won't be a new winter/Xmas set this year. :cry_sad:

Btw: Navy Trooper Fenson, do you know when the Helicopter And Limousine will be available in regular toy shops?

I only know that it is an exclusive set to an uncertain store. The german store catalogue has no mention of it and the dutch webshop www.superspielwaren.de already has summer sets, but no 3222.

But it is already available at S@H for 30€.

I think there is a possibility for a Lego store. :classic: Since there is a lego truck, it would need to deliver the contents to some place. I think kids will love their own lego store where their minifigs could buy lego. :sceptic:

Sadly it was not part of the TRU voting process - public transport, city square and truck stop were to be voted for last April.

But a modern toy (Lego) shop would be nice though.

hello all, my first post!

The Lego truck looks great!

I just hope it does not dwarf the other trucks from last year.

What about the possibility of the truck delivering to the Winter Toy Shop, or a new updated version?

I was thinking the same way but I was told it is not that right. Lots of trucks sets do not mean anything, actually.

In my opinion, Public transportation Center would be way better.

Tow truck is # 7638 ;)

I don't think there would be a bed in.

However, the truck is stunning, looking so much like American Volvo.

Where did you read that? It sounds really odd to me...

Set 7998 had a sleeper cab, and it wasn't THAT big, tbh. and the 'bed' was nothing more than a large plate across the back of the cab and a red 2x2 smooth tile for a pillow.

To me it firstly did, too. But since the Wind Turbine Transport is sold this year in regular toy shops, too, I don't wonder. And not only adults but even kids will surely love it.

I totally agree with you, Mission Commander!

Of course the 10199 Winter Toy Shop  is an outstanding set - but a Lego Store  for your regular (non-winterly) City is nevertheless needed.

Sadly it was not part of the TRU voting process - public transport, city square and truck stop were to be voted for last April.

On the one hand I disagree with you since if City Square won it could have been anything which has to do with civilian life: hotel, café, grocery, bank, ... and even a Lego Store.

On the other hand I agree with you that it is regrettably very, very unsupposably that we'll see a Lego Store this year: firstly it seems as if TLG decided to release the Truck Stop and not the City Square or the Public Transportation Center as the TRU Fan's Choise Exclusive and secondly the 10199 Winter Toy Shop is still available and will be even sold in regular toy shops this year.

Now this is where a counter-agree with you 'Klaus-Dieter', yeah hows that for an odd saying eh ?

Now if memory serves me right - the image for city square included a toy shop in the background !

But on the knowledge I being fed it's still meant to be a truck stop - but next year how knows maybe another mega set like you're own TRU store to build eh ? (note - Lego and TRU branded trucks this year)

I'm foaming at the mouth for set 3221 yellow LEGO truck.

I can't wait to take a photo of it in front of the LEGO store i designed. It's going to be so awesome. OMGZ!!

It's released in June I believe.

Thank you very much for this link, Zorbas! :classic:

The contents of the advent calendar regrettably can't been seen very well. It seems as if we're getting that strange small train shown on the cover, again a Xmas tree and a chimney, some minifigs, some airport stuff and some things I can not see clearly. All in all it seems to look very well.

The Lego Truck looks really  .

Finaly, we have pictures from NY TF 2010. BUT! I don't see any pictures from 8403 and 8404 sets...

Question - Why?

:hmpf_bad:

It's very unlickely that 8403 City House will be shown there since last year's Wind Turbine Transport wasn't shown on NY TF 2009, too.

But I totally agree with you AlaPo which concern 8404!

The were rumors that the Fan's Choice set will be revealed at NY Toy Fair (like last year's Star Wars Fan's Choice set was, too).

Maybe TLG will show 8404 firstly at the end of NY Toy Fair. That sounds imo really unrealistic. Nevertheless I hope so. Otherwise I'll be getting very angry.

:hmpf_bad:

Because the fair last three days and LEGO is still setting things up. Look at the Toy Story 3 section, nothing is up yet.

I don't get this "rumor" LEGO will show the TRU winner at the Toy Fair, didn't they say we would see it at TF 2010?
