Zorbas Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Thanks for the link Castle fan! It's certainly not how I thought it would be. The colours and the building surroundings look beautiful though. I'll wait for more detailed pictures for a better view. Quote
captainsamus Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Looks great, my only complaint is yet another brown dog. A black or white dog would have been nice. Also, is that supposed to be a treehouse, or just a regular tree on the left? Quote
phoinix Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 i love this! This is the first time after so many years that lego gives us a house in lego city!! cant wait for new and bigger pictures... and yes that seems like there is a little house on the tree in the yard Quote
slacker int Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 (edited) This looks great! It will fit in perfectly with classic town feel of City Corner! As much as I enjoy the modular series of buildings, the costs keep me away... these "city" buildings are far more reasonable and I quite enjoy them even though they may lack the realism of the modular sets. Can anyone make out what the fig in the yard is doing, or what he is standing behind? -thanks for the link castle fan! Edited February 20, 2010 by slacker int Quote
Rick Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 I guess he's behind BBQ. From left to right: kid on a skateboard, tree house, fire hydrant, fruit tree, porch (not sure what's on the porch next to the entrance), green trash can, mailbox, street light. Furthermore, it has a small pavement and the interior seems worthy of showing off on the front of the box. Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 (edited) Is that me or we are getting a new piece? Edited February 20, 2010 by Lordofdragonss Quote
phoinix Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 how come this wasnt shown at the Toy-Fair? Quote
Rick Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 It looks like that piece in white... (why would you think it's a new piece?) Quote
just2good Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 (edited) New Picture LinkSource: My Preliminary photo removed by TheBrickster. Replaced with a link. It looks awesome!!! It has a nice variety of minifigures, and has the old tree! Edited February 20, 2010 by just2good Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Two things folks - 1. I was right about the house, by the looks of it - it can be one or two storey if you like ! Also it looks real nice - must be this years uni-sex set - another source of mine was right. 2. This is part of the email sent to me by TRU (USA).................. I was able to research this matter, and unfortunately I am not able to confirm the information you are seeking. Because the exclusive Lego City set has not yet been released, the specific set information is currently not available. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. There are two things we can read from this - 1. at least the only thing confirmed is there is a good chance the exclusive is going ahead - 2. It's mega-hush-hush, reading between the lines they both TRU and Lego don't want even a whisper getting out. So what's special about it, since we have seen seek peaks of Star Wars, TS3 and trains - WTF ? I hope the waters become clearer real soon. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
RoryoCox Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 New Truck This has probably been mentioned before but I have not seen it. The new lego stuck looks really good. The lego lego buckets look great printed. The storage compartment looks good and the minifigures look good. Quote
wooootles Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 That's a nice house! Buying that one fo' sho. It's like a throwback to the 80s town sets... Yep, sold. Quote
jonwil Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 It wouldn't surprise me if the TRU fan-choice set hasn't been shown off at any of the Toy Fair's because its a TRU exclusive. And because its an exclusive, neither TRU nor LEGO wants to talk about it yet. The house looks good though but bear in mind that its a preliminary image and may change for the release. Quote

Yes that has been posted before but thanks anyway That's a nice house!Buying that one fo' sho. It's like a throwback to the 80s town sets... Yep, sold. um what are you talking about? The house looks good though but bear in mind that its a preliminary image and may change for the release. You too? If you guys are talking about the house in that flickr gallery which is titled a MOC? EDIT: Strange, emoticons were misbehaving Edited February 21, 2010 by Macoco Quote
Sajer Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 They are talking about the new image released a page back of the new City house by Castle Fan, Macoco It looks pretty good, but i have no idea what the guy to the left is kicking though. And looks like the guy next to the tree (with a skateboard?) is wearing the same shirt from City Corner? Will definitely get this set when it comes out Quote
AlaPo Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Hey, Castle fan, thanks for a picture!!! There was a hope to see at last 8404... Btw, is that a french retail catalog for a second half-year? AlaPo. Quote
wooootles Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 um what are you talking about? default_wacko.gif ...the House. 8403. What else could I be talking about here? Quote
Zorbas Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 um what are you talking about? You too? Someone is confused! Here you go Macoco. New Picture LinkSource: My Quote
metalandi Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 This looks really good so far! It also seems to have some good interior, since there is a shot from the back of it aswell. Klaus-Dieter is gonna love this Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Just had a closer look at this house (you know the one now - the fuzzy picture one) In it I think we are getting 4 minifigs along with a dog, one can assume a cat as well. I think that object in the yard might be a bbq, what do you all think ? Can't wait to see clearer pictures, especially the interior - from which we can guess a kitchen and bedroom at least and maybe something in the loft too ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
sens1992 Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 The new house 8403 will be a great addition to the LEGO city theme. It has been so long since we got a set that has no wheels! Nothing against trucks, cars, planes and trains but it is nice to have a house for our towns. This will look great combined with City Corner (7641). Thanks LEGO for this cool new addition. Quote
Piranha Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Someone is confused! Here you go Macoco. Ohhh I did not see that Thanks very much ...the House.8403. What else could I be talking about here? Yeah very sorry, I thought you guys were imagining things Back on topic Whoa that is a sweet house! 3 levels and a backyard! No garage unfortunately like I had hoped. Looks very cityish and will fit in well. Quote
wooootles Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 ^Well it looks like this house would fitter in a city theme (imagine that!) than in a suburban theme like the CREATOR houses, so the lack of garage doesn't bother me. Most houses in cities tend to not have garages and only parallel park their car. Now that I look at it again, the fact that it looks almost like a palette swap of the 7641 Pizzeria is a tad disappointing. Just a tad. Otherwise it has some good elements going on. Me? I'd probably mod it into a 16x16 Market-Street Size house. Quote
Fugazi Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 While I'm glad there is a new house in the City theme, I hope it's brick-built and not full of 1x?x5 panels like the pizzeria in City Corner. The color scheme is a throwback to the original Lego bricks of the 1950s, white and red... but otherwise I don't find it especially appealing. Almost every City building in the last 2 years has been either white or red... where are the other colours, guys? Quote

Sorry 'space6901' but by the fuzzy picture we have it uses the white 5x1x6 wall panels, except the frontage that will have to be brick built, plus the furniture, etc,., I feel them to be brick/plate/tile built. You are also right red roofs, white walls, Town Plan 1950's easy - totally agree with you on that one. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
