Actually 7239 has been around even longer than 2005, I have boxes dated 2004, which means it's gotta be one of the longer running things, except maybe for base plates and brick tools. Rarerly these days does something last longer than 1-2 years.

The 7207 fireboat looks great. Made me had a tingling feeling in my heart. :sweet:

Some of my favourite parts that I couldn't get, all into one.

Extend-able beam, inverted slope windscreen for ship and more floating ship hulls !

Lots of gaps on the side and more water cannons, thats not good. :cry_sad:

Great for re-enacting scenes from "The Perfect Storm".

I agree. The lego shop closed in Birmingham in 2005, and i'd bought mine at least the year before it closed.

My observation after looking into magnified photos:

The small black-white car actually is 3177. 3179 is the utility repair vehicle.

The windows on the upper floor of the fire station looks huge, especially if you compare them to the doors on the lower floor!

The stretcher looks bigger than the existing white one, if you compare it to the minifigs?

The wings seem using TWO large pieces as the skeleton, with cosmetics on top and at ends.

:cry_happy: can't wait till they're released...no sign of the impulse set(s) though?

Looks like I might be buying a few of these! Have you seen the prices? enough to faint...

The car looks more like a mobility scooter with roof to me

Some thoughts...

-The firestation is growing on me. Still want to see the interior and know final pricing/piece count information before passing final judgment, but I imagine I will end up picking it up.

-The off-road fire vehicle with the boat really does seem like the fire-theme equivalent of 7726 but with a more dynamic suspension system.

-The Octan truck will be a must buy for me. Though the included fuel pump is quite small, I like that it's thrown in there anyways.

-Glad to see the Cherrypicker - and that it includes a street lamp to work on (and is that a green garbage bin included as well?)

-Hard to make out the little car, but it's always nice to have more civilian vehicles to drive around town.

Thanks again for the pictures!

One last final note: Wout has posted a few pages back that the green trash can will not be included with the Octan tanker, but instead with the airport.

All Hail the Holy Wout!:laugh::grin:

Legoliner Pilot, I'm not a holy prophet or something, I can also forget things or get things trough eachother.

@ Alywin: The stretcher is bigger and no stretcher. It has all little holes in it. It is something where people can jump on when they are on a higher floor in a burning building. In the pic, the cat jumped from the burning roof on the yellow net.

@ Bluebard: No, I find it also looking like a Smart (and Alywin also) and like it. :classic:

The little Smart car is also seen on the Fire Quarter picture in the right-above corner

The wings and the roof of the smaller white blue plane are more brickbuild.

@ ZO6: the cherrypicker/repairtruck has as far as I know, a green garbage bin.

I do like that blue plane better. It seems to have removed the single-piece wings, which are by far the biggest problem with the larger planes.

Those pictures are great too. Where are they from? They look like the old catalog dioramas, which we haven't seen for many years since TLG stopped producing the small catalogs.

The pictures come from the instruction books - usually the last few pages of the set (or the last book in the set if they're more than 1) which feature a 'win a lego set' survey, different models which can be built with the set/play ideas, and then they're usually a diorama image (to make you buy more in the range!)

Those do look very interesting and it should be nice to see what the versions look like once some more detailed pics look like.

I do like the aircraft however ive been a sucker for lego aircraft for years :-D.

Ah, you're right. I forgot about the ones in the instructions.

All the new sets look fantastic!

Fire station...

Great detail, great vehicles, and more modern design. I also spot a decent interior! Very cool! Also looks like the main fire engine can hold more than one mini fig. That's great!

Airport....

This is great! Great plane, great terminal, great vehicles and accessories, and a very realistic looking tower!

Tanker truck....

Beautiful! Very impressed with this set overall. I would have preferred 8 wide, but that's OK. Still a great set. will have to get two so i can make a super-B trailer combo.

Small jet...

Very nice. Curious to see the interior of this. Nice alternative to the larger jets.

Fire boat...

Not bad. Very similar to the Coast guard boat but with more accessories.

I have to say i find it a bit amusing that everyone was so quick to dismiss the airport, but then when they find it includes a hawaiian shirt torso all of a sudden its "not so bad" :hmpf: . Perhaps TLC should include one in every set to keep naysayers at bay.

7213 looks awesome - I think that's the first official 8-Wide fire truck, at least that I can think of.

Hell yeah! And it seems to have pendular suspension

There have been some in recent years (and even bigger) and personally I absolutely don't like them. They don't fit in with the rest of the City line, just like some of this year's bigger construction sets.

Yes, but this is the first 8-wide fire truck

I like them because I think the scale to minifigs is better, although I don't like some of the large pieces often used.

The large Fire Station window pieces are not new.

They're the standard 1x5x6 panel on top of the curved windscreen pieces from 7641, all in trans light blue.

I like the beachgoers in the Airport diorama - under a flight path is probably not the best place for a picnic, but there you go!

Amazing that 7239 is listed on this page, so it looks like it will be around for a while. That almost rivals the old days of set production in terms of length!

Thanks for the pics!

:hmpf_bad:

As to the question superimposed on the fire theme picture... I think the 'new big windows' are combinations of the City bus/Fire ladder front window and the taller 6-wide 'shop windows/panels'.
