I bought mine in 2005 (it had just been released as there were all the 'new city' sets after World City got discontinued) when Lego still had their Birmingham (UK) store - which they should've kept - why not close Milton Keynes?...

I agree!

We badly need a Lego store in the Midlands.

I have fond memories of that shop - the build a fig, the Halloween build-a-skeleton, all the pods on the walls....and once I even left a nice trail of blood near the entrance.

What is it now, an Early Learning centre? in fact, I think the Early Learning Centre was next door, and they just combined the two.

I used to go for a treat after my visits to the hospital. So worth the 30 minutes train journey and hours of hospital endurance

Back on subject:

The new impulse sents sound good, 'specially the "Mystery fig" one.

I can see that being popular providing they exclude police, fire and constructin figs in favour of civilian characters.

I'm actually quite looking forward to this coming wave of City sets, if only for that Smart-esque car and the possibility of getting some more promo sets.

Btw: It's really strange that we haven't heard anything about sets for the second half of 2010 (although rumours for SW, Toy Story and PP appeared already a long while ago). :sadnew: It's time that we get some rumours - or at least some hints - to discuss about.

I think it's a bit too early. Looking at my 2009 sets folder, summer sets pics surfaced in mid-January, along with Indy, Creator and SPIII. I don't remember if names came out earlier.

Hey fellow City fans! I looked acouple pages back and found nothing so I guess this is new...

Someone posted this on Flickr and gave a link to the Amazon page where they found it.

I really like this set! It looks great, I love the new direction City is going so far with less emergency services and focus more on everyday things. :classic:

This truck looks like a great but simple build and looks like they based it on past trucks that worked well (Prisoner Transport/Tow Truck)

And green garbage can! :sweet:

I will definatly be picking this up!

Is that piece holding the fig new? I love it. Imagine the possibilities! There's a cat/dog carry cage, a window (For micro MOCs, but I can see how it could fit in a scaled one.)

I'm sure its been used on previous LEGO Firetrucks... to lazy to look it up on BL though.

Woohoo, legalized pics! :classic:

It looks very nice, but I would rather have a less used face for the fig.

Green garbage can is great.

I don't get why everyone is getting all hyped up about the Lighting Repair truck pictures, they have been out for a while. I also have these:

These are strait from my gallery on Brickshelf, which is unfortunately not Moderated yet. I have much more pictures of all the sets, so if you want me to post them, just shout. :classic:

The pictures with the Russian writing are not mine, but I have them in the gallery so that people can see some real-life shots of some of the sets.

That's Aurebesh, a writing system in Star Wars.

The writing says "ForceMaster", who is an EB member who posted those pics a month or so ago.

Thanks for reposting these, though. I'm too lazy to go on Amazon or go back 30+ pages to find all of the pics.

I have seen most of those but not the interior airport photos. :oh:

The soda machine and check in counter are really nice.

I also really like the stewardess figure

The airport in general looks ok and I still am not totally liking the plane either.

However the picture of the Octan Tanker reminds me of how awesome it is.

Terrible shame it would have looked nice with the Service Station.

Not available in the USA anymore though :sceptic:

I think we need a new gas station

I guess you midlanders did not spend enough money supporting your local store when you had one and that is why Lego closed it. That and putting the store inside the bullring just after if was built/redeveloped. I guess the rent must have been sky high!

At least it's only an hours drive to Milton Keynes for you,

In the pic with the plane I found what may be the new Farmer impulse. I doubt it though, since he's shirtless.

Oooh, bandana!

I doubt its the impulse. In LEGO catalogs theres always random minifigs put in to make it look better, Also It looks like he has the Dagobah Luke torso.

No, I saw the preliminary image of impulses, and It was the same farmer like in the red Tractor set but with this face:

And the second Impulse- Traveler had the same face and this roso:,

[...] and Camera (finnaly in small set).
This one? I have four copies (two still MISB) of 3402, which wasn't that expensive. Also it was in a relatively small adventurers' set not too long ago.

Those two new City impulses seem pretty boring with the same face and two very common torsos. The pig which seems to be included in the farmer impulse and the travel accessories are good though.

Do you know if those were prelim pics or definitive ones? It would be a bit disappoiinting to find the same red torso again and again, and again... :sceptic:

They were preliminaries- so they can change...

About Space jacket and Camera (yes this one) I have none so I am happy that lego give us them in small sets!

Hi, is a pig include in the farmer set? Anything else?
