Piranha Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 There is a pig, dog and a little place where you put Pigfood and some bricks as food Thank you! That sounds like it is going to be perhaps the best impulse set yet Now everyone can get a pig without buying the larger Pig Pen. And stock them up The traveler sounds really nice, as for the torso that is fine with me since I don't have that one yet I also really like how LEGO is doing 2 Civilian Impulses  Quote
wooootles Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 (edited) I 'm probably not going to end up buying the new big sets. -For me, why get the Fire Station when I can get Fire Brigade? -Airport building is too small for me now, considering how the airplanes literally doubled in size since the classic-style Century Skyway (although at least the Terminal is better looking than the last CITY Airport.) I would probably buy multiple airports if that was the only problem, but to build a real believable airport I'm going to need a much bigger infrastructure, and I don't want to devote too much of my money for a large Airport infrastructure (includes gates, taxi and runway). -same with boats, I have no plans for port infrastructure on my town just yet. I will likely buy the rest of the new sets though (except maybe other airport related sets); I love that Tanker, nice upgrade for my 4-wide Octan tanker. Edited October 26, 2009 by wooootles Quote
jonwil Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Are there any decent pictures of the new blue passenger plane yet? Or is the one picture (as part of the scene from the back of the instructions) all we have? Quote

Rapseflaps Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Isn't that just an alternate of the old one? The one that actually had 7893 as set number? Quote
indyj19 Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 correct me if i'm wrong but for the new blue plane (yet to be released), is there some type of towbar thing in the pic (with the whole scene of other sets and stuff), i wonder how that connects with the plane ... Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 correct me if i'm wrong but for the new blue plane (yet to be released), is there some type of towbar thing in the pic (with the whole scene of other sets and stuff), i wonder how that connects with the plane ... Yes, there is a yellow pushback tug included inside, and the tow hook probably uses some kind of technic part to attach to the plane. Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Can not wait to get a heap of 3179 lighting repair trucks and start converting to like road repair or the truck that brings the light poles to the road side. Also 3177 little smart car a few of those will go towards a car dealship moc, but also redesign some towards a pizza delivery van and maybe even a fire chiefs car. Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 7893 is from 2006 this is a old set. Really? My bad. Actually LEGO's bad if they can't make a NEW set that looks different from the last one. Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Really? My bad.Actually LEGO's bad if they can't make a NEW set that looks different from the last one. I like the new regional plane, it is 6 wide now and includes low landing gear! Though I wish they would make an orange plane.... Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Is it just me or has lego just release both 2006 jets, but in opposite colours. Also swapping some design features from one to the other, like the engines and wing tips. Quote
segambit Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 (edited) Here is 7684 the bigfarm. One more tractor? http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2508/398423..._1ec284a26c.jpg Like the pigs, but we already have 2 tractors. Edited November 3, 2009 by Svelte Prelim and confidential image removed Quote

Svelte Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 No problems - and I agree 2 tractors (3 if you count the small promo) is more than enough in a line of only 4 or 5 sets Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 No problems - and I agree 2 tractors (3 if you count the small promo) is more than enough in a line of only 4 or 5 sets If you count the promo than there are 4 tractors because the Farm set would have the blue one and the little yellow one. It's a Farm series, there should be tractors. Quote
Piranha Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 (edited) Actually there are 5 Tractors for the farm series. Pig Pen Lime Green One (No Pic because its not allowed ) There are 2 in 7637. Blue and small yellow one The Daily Mirror Promo Tractor And finally the Red Tractor set 7634 Edited November 4, 2009 by Macoco Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 But the yellow one isn't a tractor.. It's haymower! Quote
Oswald the Rabbit Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 You forgot the Combine Harvester. Quote
Still Raindrop Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 The combine harvester isn't a tractor; it's a combine harvester. Quote
Matt Dawson Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I'm waiting till we get some decent images of other sets... Quote
Batbrick Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Yeah...even though I've moved away from City is recent years I normally buy at least one or two or three sets, but this year has been so disappointing for me; another big wave of construction vehicles, fifteen thousand tractors. Next year doesn't look all that spectacular either, with the exception of the pigs, which I won't be getting anyway simply because I'm trying to save money and the set isn't really necessary to what I hope to be building. Now if we got a post office or a bank, I'd be all over that. What a missed opportunity that 2007 postal theme was. Batbrick Away! Quote
Piranha Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 But the yellow one isn't a tractor.. It's haymower! Well that depends. I have heard large lawnmowers called Tractors. IMO its a Tractor Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 But the yellow one isn't a tractor.. It's haymower! If we are counting the little green thing as a tractor than the yellow thing is a tractor. Quote
