Oswald the Rabbit Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I hope the limo will be easy to convert to black instead of white. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Did anyone see the 2x1 yellow cheese piece ? Oh, yeah that computer screen on a stic, it was done before in the coast guard platform if memory serves me correct. And, 'Oswald The Rabbit' if you can find the 4x4 car roof tops in black then yes - you can pimp your ride black ! Quote
David Thomsen Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 3222 Is it the first limo appeared in LEGO?? Seems nice. Holy cow - I really wasn't expecting this one. It's awesome. I wonder how many minifigs you can fit in that limo? Quote
mania3 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Holy cow - I really wasn't expecting this one. It's awesome. I wonder how many minifigs you can fit in that limo? That's what I was wondering. How cool! This is exciting news. Quote
Zorbas Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 No car doors until last year and now 6 of them in a single vehicle! TLG, you are REALLY spoiling us!! I absolutely love that rich and famous concept! If the helicopter's nose was brick built that set would have been an absolute win/win. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Holy cow - I really wasn't expecting this one. It's awesome. I wonder how many minifigs you can fit in that limo? I would say the driver, male and female passinger, that would be it though. Assuming they using normal chairs/seats they take up a 2x3 space and allowing for them getting in/out of the limo, I would say just the two of them in the back facing each other. Quote
prateek Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Wow a limo. I really like the tractor in the littlke piggy set Quote
DJ Force Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Holy cow - I really wasn't expecting this one. It's awesome. I wonder how many minifigs you can fit in that limo? My guess is 3 plus driver... one behind the other Quote
LEGOMAN132 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I like the Helicopter then the VIP can go to the airportin the limo and get into his/her Helicopter. Quote
Athos Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 3222 Is it the first limo appeared in LEGO?? Seems nice. The first set in the Lego Millionare line? Steve Quote
Maegnus Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Thanks for Pics Whung! 2 cases, camera, Indys bag, two trans "benches" and computer screen on a stick? I must buy this! Don't forget 1x2 yellow cheese ;) Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I would appreciate if all the people will stop complaining about the helicopter-- Just because it has an one-piece nose, does that make it terrible? No! Let me see a more streamlined nose made out of bricks before you complain that it is too <insert that tiresome argument>. Quote
danim Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 (edited) That limo is stunning and a release date of february. That limo is top of my lego purchases next year (possibly this year?) P.S I also love that helicopter, just what my swat team needs Edited December 11, 2009 by danim Quote
jonwil Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 The passenger plane, tanker truck and at least one of the traveler are definatly going on my wishlist (although I wish they had chosen a different torso for the traveler) The blue torso in the farm set is likely this one: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973pb09c02 or this one: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973pb201c01 Quote
Rapseflaps Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 And that limo has no less than six(!) working doors. Hurray! Seriously, I'd get that set for the limo alone. Quote

Just have a closer look and you'll see is none of those blue and already-seen overalls Quote

Really. I'd much prefer a less streamlined, brick-built nose, but that's just me. Maybe that's why I stayed away from CITY aircraft (and the fact that they're omghueg) I'd still buy the whole set though, hoping it's not more than $35. Quote

Why are you complaining about them being large? In real life aircraft are huge, too, compared to many other objects, mainly buildings and structures. I mean look at the Airbus a380, one of the main landing gear tires are 3/4 the size of a fully grown adult! So that makes no sense, because the scale is accurate. I have yet to see a blocky airplane nose.... Wait, because they can't fly! Once again, aircraft in real life are EXTREMELY streamlined in their appearance and structure. Once again, aircraft in real life are EXTREMELY streamlined in their appearance and structure. It's all a matter of personal opinion. LEGO is not real life. I miss the old days of "minifig scale." Planes were four-wide, but, so what? It was actually easy to make a compact city layout. Everything doesn't have to be a huge like it is nowadays. I like the new City sets for what they are and I do collect them, but I miss "minifig scale" classic Town. Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 ??? All of the aircraft are designed to minfigure scale. Quote
Ratshot Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Lego pigs....FINALLY. I hope we get goats next! Agreed! Goats would be awesome. You seem to like them as you placed a pic of them in your profile My neighbors have goats, I've wrestled them before, there pretty strong Quote

It's very hard to find another use for it than as a front piece for an aircraft which is a great disadvantage in my opinion. It's just the same discussion as with the Toy Story minifigs where you was arguing against them and for your right to a criticizing opinion. Edited December 12, 2009 by Etzel Quote

Well, it can be used for a flight simulator, a spaceship, basically anything that can fly. Quote
MAH4546 Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) ???All of the aircraft are designed to minfigure scale. Certainly not the far superior minifig scale I grew up with, where you didn't need a master-size bedroom to make a decent town layout. The sets are great, but the jumbo scale of the new sets is just annoying. There's Playmobil for that. Though LEGO is far more creative now then they have been since the early 1990's. Finally no more race cars, and a fire truck set stays on the market for a long period of time because, well, we don't need a new fire truck every three years. And we city buses, limos, farms, etc. A lot more variety, thankfully. Edited December 12, 2009 by MAH4546 Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Certainly not the far superior minifig scale I grew up with, where you didn't need a master-size bedroom to make a decent town layout. Far superior? I don't think so! The cockpits were missing a second seat for a co-pilot, the planes had no controls other than a lackluster printed slope, and the only thing in the interior was seats! Unfortunately, I find your reason to be irrelevant to my debate. My town has many of these aircraft hung up, thus eliminating the need for an airport at all. Thus, I can hang the Cargo plane up and it still looks good "taking off" from my layout. Quote
