Almost everyone is saying the helicopter is too large, remember folks it's a transporter, a transporter of more than two people and is part of the air carriers service fleet (note tail sticker same as all the jets) anyway I'm getting two so I can convert one to a police rescue copter.

Agreed, remember, if the helicopter would be any smaller it would be as thin as the limo. That would be a bit strange...

I like, don't think I'll buy it, but it's cool.

Well, I would agree with you if it included some nice interior and not only some yellow chairs. Perhaps a table with two chairs, two tumblers and a coffee machine behind - but that's supposably only wishful thinking.

Btw: Since it's now (un)officially confirmed that we'll get a new Trains theme with train station, train level crossing, cargo train and passenger train: Do you really think that we'll get any more bigger City sets in summer (apart from the exclusive fan's choice set of which we regrettably haven't heard anything until now - not even a hint which of the three options made it)?!

Let me refer you to the City 2010 topic...

Cracker has cracked the case!

It's fairly well known now that some of the City sets are available now, so you can post either here, or in the City Sets Availability thread.

That Smart will be the first city set I might actually buy to keep for my layout instead of salvaging it for parts. Finally a 4wide car has the right proportions

On Flickr I saw this

He said he got it from TRU Just look at that face!

Good eyes! The minifigure has a new face! The grin is much sharper , at first I thought it was the same as the others.

My son got a real surpise today, a package from Lego Club for Christmas and in it one 2010 catalogue.

Happy :sweet: one minute and down  the next, here in Australia we must wait to mid-year for the fire sets as well as the impulses too. The pig farm is going to be an exclusive to some retailier plus the airport range is in Feburary now, ah well time to save up I guess. :oh3:

I'm pretty sure the pirate impulses didnt show up in last years January catalogue either but were available before the rest of the pirate line so hopefulyy you are mistaken there. I've seen a Toyworld being restocked with the old Fire line a few weeks back so perhaps Australia will once again be used to run out remaining sets at low prices, and hence the delay.

BTW I also noticed that the Wind Turbine Transport is in the catalogue again so it doesn't look like its being killed off just yet. Could it be it didnt appear to your souces because its a Big W exclusive?

I really wonder who's getting in both Australia and New Zealand the pig farm with tractor ?

To correct you on one matter the pirate impulses came out the same time as Target got their five month exclusive rights to that entire product range. It appears that two city sets per year now be come discount store only's, I think it's the same around the world too.

Correct me if I'm wrong folks, I don't mind.

I can't wait to see the new trains... Hopefully, they're better than the new Toy Story train...

Er, 'Rick' is right - you should deep link it and I say - There is a TOY STORY forum open already in the LICENCED theme area - you should posted it there with a link instead !!!!

Now back on topic - has anyone noticed two things on the fuel tanker 1. GREEN CAR DOORS  (never seen them before in green) and 2. the return of the MOULDED HOSE PIECE  . It seems also that the airport vehicles are a throw back to the late 80's or early 90's classic town format, I don't mind they are quite cute :sweet: . I know the repair and fuel trucks are on my list, I just add the airport, but need to see a review I do before I make my mind up.

Just noticed in the blue/white jet, it's not fan blades in the engines but a technic gear - not sure if I like that or not - looks weird !

DOORS

What I noticed on the new sets. Most have doors, and I put emphasis on that because some of the vehicles we had lately don't have those

What's this to do with City 2010, it's only the way the date is writen, oh well.

Back on topic - just took a closer look in my catalogue at the pig farm, the tractor and it's trailier seem to have even more detail to them and they look more realistic - good they remember tool clips for the shovel and broom on the trailier now the farmer won't lose them. Note also the upside down chest lids being used as slop troughs - great.

Anyway do you think the tractor is related to this one from Deutz-Fahr.1133.jpeg

Heres the Lego one to compere.

Sorry, Svelte but the image has been snipped already it being a no-no image.

Any way love the wacko symbol - that's me some times.

Folks just looked closely at 3222, I don't think anyone has said about it, not only does it have a moulded nose, but a moulded rear piece on the copter too. Then the rest is brick and plate built - I guess a bit of both worlds here.

I know; I snipped it

Nice spotting with the tractor - they definitely look related

By the looks, that Toy Story train might be 4-wide. Plus, the Indiana Jones 6-wide track pieces have already been purchased and molded, so it would make no sense to use such an expensive piece to manufacture in only one set. Plus, there is slopes- the required piece to elevate the track. Quoting the designer [Henrik Sidenuis] of the Temple of Doom in an interview in the November-December Brickmaster magazine:

Q: What's so special about the new track pieces in this set? [7199]

A: The new track system is 6 modules [studs] wide, while the old system is 8 wide. Because it's more narrow and includes pieces with curves and slopes, it opens up lots of new possibilities for building tracks for trains and other vehicles.

Which means (gasp) we might get a monorail for the 2010 TRU exclusive.

Could someone link this pic of the toy story train, I didn't get to see it.

Check the first post or pinned index in the Licensed forum. This is NOT the place to discuss the Toy Story train.

Thanks!
