Legoliner Pilot Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 (edited) THANKS Legoliner Pilot! This is the set that kept me anticipated for clearer pictures - not counting the trains of course. My assumptions were right in the spot. This plane is just like the old days sets. Not too many <insert that tiresome argument> pieces as far as I can see and the size is great! Back to the roots I hope! This is a MUST BUY! (...studs on the wings... I kinda like that... ) No problem. I always wanted to see a clearer image of that set too! Why, when you look through the windows of the plane, does there appear to be a gap between each seat? And why does the Tug driver have a knit cap? Edited January 2, 2010 by Legoliner Pilot Quote
Zorbas Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Why, when you look through the windows of the plane, does there appear to be a gap between each seat? Perhaps the seats are diagonally placed and not side by side? And why does the Tug driver have a knit cap? Winter! (I know. Lame answer... ) Quote
curtisrlee Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 The so-called "small car" Looks like a.... SMART CAR!!! Im todally buying it Quote
Hinckley Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 You have my sincere apologizes, 'Hinckley'.I hope you had a good Christmas. Back on topic - the fire station has now joined S@H for Australia and I guess the rest of the world. Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too. Quote
Piranha Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 7566 Lego Boer, Expected June 2010 Thanks for the info and pics Now what is that? Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Thanks for the info and pics Now what is that? No idea. I guess the English to Dutch translation screwed up and now it has given us this half-english/half dutch word. Maybe if Rick was here he could tell us what the hell a "Boer" is. I think the chairs are swivel type. I like this airplane, it is not too big (7893) or not too small (classic town airliners). I also the radar very much, even though I don't know what to do with it.... Quote

Piranha Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 7566 = the Farmer impulse set. Thanks! I was too lazy to cross reference with the other City 2010 sets I was hoping it would be another surprise like the Helicopter & Limo Quote
dr_spock Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 The so-called "small car" Looks like a.... SMART CAR!!!Im todally buying it Me too. Wait a sec, I've already bought it. The airplanes look nice. Time for me to start $aving up... Quote
Rick Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Maybe if Rick was here he could tell us what the hell a "Boer" is. Glad my presence is appreciated Boer indeed means 'Farmer'. But it also means *burp* in Dutch, funnily enough. Now that would make an interesting impulse set. Quote

Alywin Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 (edited) The list is made and updated by whung at minifigs.net in Hong Kong, and I think whung has updated Eurobricks about the newly found sets also a few days ago (whung's previous post), except for 30010 Fire Chief which whung just found out today. For your information, 30010 is believed to be a small promotional set and no picutre is available yet. Rick Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I don't see anything new? 30010 wasn't know (to me) yet. See it as a summary Quote
wooootles Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 This is news to me: TRU truck 7848 is going to be the same as the yellow 3221 truck, says Brickset. Then there's a 8404 "fan choice." what that be? Quote
Alywin Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 (edited) This is news to me: TRU truck 7848 is going to be the same as the yellow 3221 truck, says Brickset. Bricksets said 7848 is "similar" to 3221, not "the same". My wild guess, it could be like 2148 and 3442. They have the same structure but different colour schemes and appearances. 3221 is to transport LEGO specifically and 7848 is to transport other toys for TRU in general ... Edited January 4, 2010 by Alywin Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 So 7848 is a TRU truck, gee how many toy trucks do we need to deliver toys eh ? Then 'fan choice' for 8404, what choice ? Here's how I read it, 7848 will be the truck stop, because it has TRU, it has truck in it too and it's exclusive to TRU, like you will not see Kmart selling a TRU product now would you. Now on that note what is 8404 going to be ? We need more information ! Quote
Rick Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Here's how I read it, 7848 will be the truck stop, because it has TRU, it has truck in it too and it's exclusive to TRU, like you will not see Kmart selling a TRU product now would you. I guess what is said above is correct: TRU 'paid for'/gets an exclusive branded TRU truck which is the same/similar to the yellow Lego truck coming out this summer. If I recall correctly, the price for 7848 was too low for it to be the TRU exclusive, but the price for 8404 was higher, so that is supposed to be the yet unrevealed TRU exclusive. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 'Rick' I hear you, so 7848 could be like this..... it's real hard to find a photo of a TRU truck on the net ?!?! Quote
Matt Dawson Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 it's real hard to find a photo of a TRU truck on the net ?!?! Most UK TRU Trucks are white tractor unit/trailer with the trailer with or without TRU logo branding. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I did find some photos of TRU semi's - boring white cabs and white pans with TRU logo down the side, at least the Lego truck has colour and is bright ! BINGO ! While writing this I quicky googled TRU semi trailier and got this, sorry it's a small photo..... So could this be the one to do done in Lego ! Quote
Matt Dawson Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I've recieved the UK S@H Catalogue, and here's the UK prices (in GBP, £); followed by my estimated TRU prices: FIRE 7207 Fire Boat 39.99 same 7213 Off-Road Truck & Boat 29.99 same 7206 Helicopter 19.99 24.99 7208 Station 59.99 same TRANSPORT 3180 [Octan] Tank Truck 14.99 14.99 3179 [Light] Repair Truck 8.99 9.99 3178 Seaplane 7.99 9.99 3177 Small [smart] Car 3.49 4.99 No new Farm, Construction etc., though they are repeated in the City pages (City Garage, City Corner, Dump Truck etc.).
