GRogall Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Any new on 8404 or new pics for 8403? Here a good picture of 8403 Quote
Night City Dream Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Here a good picture of 8403 No, this is fake. The true 8403 is a City House, white and red. There was a picture here in the thread some pages ago, but in a poor quality. Quote
brickerik Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 A picture for the LEGO Truck 3221 Comes from the shop Le Lutin Rouge Quote
Rapseflaps Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Hmm, that looks quite a bit nicer than I had thought at first. I might get that after all. Quote
Fugazi Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 A picture for the LEGO Truck 3221 Very impressive truck! Alas it would seem that the problem with the 1x3x1 doors not sitting flush is not going to be solved anytime soon I don't know if it has been discussed previously, I think this has to do with the windscreen pulling too hard on the door stud. If I remember correctly this wasn't an issue back in the 90s. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Thanks 'brickerik' for the 3221 picture - I must be slowing in my 40's, but I have just noticed that the prime mover has a 6 wide cab and 8 wide wheelbase - SWEET - finally a realistic prime mover from lego. I'm going to have fun building a fleet of these in different colours - COOL ! Can't wait to see the first review in a few months (hopefully weeks). I'm a conformist! ! Quote
danim Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 a very interesting design and some interesting building tecniques like used the lightsaber handes as supports for the trailer. also this is a big beast at about 1m long acording to the french site that has that photo Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 lightsaber handes as supports for the trailer Er, no......they are the good old pirate telescope pieces.......ARRR! But you are right 'damin' they have used a lot of good design techniques. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
danim Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 so they are, I quite like the slopes as steps, has that tecnique been used before Quote
Fugazi Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 also this is a big beast at about 1m long acording to the french site that has that photo Actually they say 39 cm (0.39m) which makes much more sense. Still a huge vehicle, I wonder how it will deal with the tight corners of the City road plates Quote
danim Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 (edited) the measurement they say translates by google as 39 inches long which is just under 100cm but when I reread it without googles automatic traslation it says 39cm so you are right anyway here is the ink to the page http://www.lelutinrouge.fr/acheter/le-camion-lego_94656 Edited April 18, 2010 by danim Quote
ILikePi Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Great find brickerik! Hmm, that looks quite a bit nicer than I had thought at first.I might get that after all. I agree, the Toy Fair pictures don't do it justice. It looks much better than I thought before! The flat top of the trailer is a bit ugly, but it's fine. I wouldn't want a large price increase just for a tiled top. Quote
Ferdik Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 (edited) Very impressive truck! If I remember correctly this wasn't an issue back in the 90s. I don't think it's the windscreen pull. The door is just ducked up. I noticed the same on my camper 7639. But only with the left door. This is something for the Lego quality team to look into. Edited April 18, 2010 by Ferdik Quote
wooootles Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Looks very nice, but also very big... I'd buy one, but only one... and maybe buy some more overpriced sticker sheets for the LEGO LEGO sets on bricklink or something Quote
ZO6 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 (edited) I know our LEGO towns are stuffed with vehicles of different sizes, but I still can't help but be excited for this set. Transport trucks exist everywhere in the real world, and I would love to add a lovely one like this to my LEGO city. I think this will also complement the new cargo train nicely. Piranha Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Whoa that is great! Thanks for the truck pic Did anyone else notice if you right click and copy image location and view in new tab, you can zoom in really close for some nice resolution details. Such as the driver has new torso and head it looks like, The different set boxes (all city, and one of them is a set of this set lol ) Sadly they appear to be only stickers Hopefully there is a large sheet with different sets to chose Quote
ACCURATEin Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I'm really looking forward to the arrival of that truck. Quote
Svelte Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 The door piece just looks stupid, compared to the scale of the rest of the truck. More like a door for the driver's cat or something rather than a fig. I hope in 2011 LEGO comes up with a new piece that is functional but more to the scale of their current designs. Quote
gunm Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 (edited) Oh yeah, I'm definitely getting 3221! Edited April 19, 2010 by gunm Quote
AlaPo Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 May 2010 on legostore I'm sorry, but what that meant? Quote

It's not that small. If you take away the windscreen it's pretty accurate: http://motortorque.askaprice.com/images/fe...truck-16068.jpg And if you want bigger doors use the 3*2 one! http://www.1000steine.com/brickset/images/7685-1.jpg Quote
David Thomsen Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Such as the driver has new torso and head it looks like, The new torso is also in the pig farm set. Yet another design of overalls for the Lego population, it seems like half the city is wearing overalls sometimes. I haven't seen the head anywhere else though. I really like the little Lego sets. Nice touch. Quote
Rapseflaps Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Wait a minute, what's up with the freaky whites around the driver's eyes? Is this guy on crack? Quote
Matt Dawson Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 (edited) Wait a minute, what's up with the freaky whites around the driver's eyes? Is this guy on crack? He's wearing glasses...but unlike the previous head, they've changed the glasses colour (previous head shown): Edited April 19, 2010 by Matt Dawson Quote
