A picture for the LEGO Truck 3221

Very impressive truck! Alas it would seem that the problem with the 1x3x1 doors not sitting flush is not going to be solved anytime soon :hmpf_bad: I don't know if it has been discussed previously, I think this has to do with the windscreen pulling too hard on the door stud. If I remember correctly this wasn't an issue back in the 90s.

Thanks 'brickerik' for the 3221 picture - I must be slowing in my 40's, but I have just noticed that the prime mover has a 6 wide cab and 8 wide wheelbase - SWEET - finally a realistic prime mover from lego.

I'm going to have fun building a fleet of these in different colours - COOL !

Can't wait to see the first review in a few months (hopefully weeks).

I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

Er, no......they are the good old pirate telescope pieces.......ARRR!

But you are right 'damin' they have used a lot of good design techniques.

Actually they say 39 cm (0.39m) which makes much more sense. Still a huge vehicle, I wonder how it will deal with the tight corners of the City road plates

Great find brickerik!

Hmm, that looks quite a bit nicer than I had thought at first.

I might get that after all.

I agree, the Toy Fair pictures don't do it justice. It looks much better than I thought before! :sweet:

The flat top of the trailer is a bit ugly, but it's fine. I wouldn't want a large price increase just for a tiled top.

I don't think it's the windscreen pull. The door is just ducked up. I noticed the same on my camper 7639. But only with the left door. This is something for the Lego quality team to look into.

Looks very nice, but also very big...

I'd buy one, but only one... and maybe buy some more overpriced sticker sheets for the LEGO LEGO sets on bricklink or something

I know our LEGO towns are stuffed with vehicles of different sizes, but I still can't help but be excited for this set. Transport trucks exist everywhere in the real world, and I would love to add a lovely one like this to my LEGO city.

I think this will also complement the new cargo train nicely.

Whoa that is great! Thanks for the truck pic

Did anyone else notice if you right click and copy image location and view in new tab, you can zoom in really close for some nice resolution details.

Such as the driver has new torso and head it looks like,

The different set boxes (all city, and one of them is a set of this set lol  )

Sadly they appear to be only stickers  Hopefully there is a large sheet with different sets to chose

The door piece just looks stupid, compared to the scale of the rest of the truck. More like a door for the driver's cat or something rather than a fig. I hope in 2011 LEGO comes up with a new piece that is functional but more to the scale of their current designs.

It's not that small. If you take away the windscreen it's pretty accurate: http://motortorque.askaprice.com/images/fe...truck-16068.jpg

And if you want bigger doors use the 3*2 one! http://www.1000steine.com/brickset/images/7685-1.jpg

The new torso is also in the pig farm set. Yet another design of overalls for the Lego population, it seems like half the city is wearing overalls sometimes.

I haven't seen the head anywhere else though.

I really like the little Lego sets. Nice touch.

Wait a minute, what's up with the freaky whites around the driver's eyes? Is this guy on crack?

He's wearing glasses...but unlike the previous head, they've changed the glasses colour (previous head shown):
