Holodoc Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I'm sorry, but what that meant? The date when the set hits the shelves (first at Lego Stores). Quote
Zorbas Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Wait a minute, what's up with the freaky whites around the driver's eyes? Is this guy on crack? It is also included in this year's Fire Station and Airport. Quote
Notorious Guf Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 It is also included in this year's Fire Station and Airport. Thats very unrealistic, who's ever seen a truck driver with glasses??? Lol... Quote
phoinix Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 the truck is very nice but right now i have a space problem in my apartment! so i am trying to make a rule...if it dosent make you drule dont get it! Quote

FinalFeature Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 (edited) Thats very unrealistic, who's ever seen a truck driver with glasses??? Lol... I seen some truck drivers with glasses. Anyway, the Lego truck looks good. I will be getting this even if there are stickers. Does anybody have a link to the inside of the Lego truck. Edit: Found it. Piranha Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Edit: Found it. Thanks! Is that an old link? I like the bed and TV on the inside of cab $35 USD available in June, nice Quote
Ferdik Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Do you think Lego present some news on the Eurobrick Event? Perhaps 8404 among others? Quote
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 the measurement they say translates by google as 39 inches long which is just under 100cm but when I reread it without googles automatic traslation it says 39cm so you are rightanyway here is the ink to the page http://www.lelutinrouge.fr/acheter/le-camion-lego_94656 That truck looks very nice. Seems like an update of the classic Legoland truck plus a trailer! Neato! Anyway folks, I thought I would introduce myself to the town section as I will be posting some MOCs soon. Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I like the bed and TV on the inside of cab $35 USD available in June, nice I couldn't help but notice the $34.99USD pricetag for 278 pieces. I guess the days of the 10 pieces per $1USD ratio are officially history. Still a great set, though, and a must buy. Quote
Derek Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Most of that truck is made of large pieces, including the yellow panels and rooftop. I think $35 USD is more than fair, to be honest, I was expecting $40... Quote
FinalFeature Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Thanks! Is that an old link? I like the bed and TV on the inside of cab $35 USD available in June, nice Its somewhat old. It was from the New York Toyfair back in February. LegoGalactus Quote

Oh my God, it's a Lego truck that carries Lego sets! How did they design such a detailed and photo-realistic tile?! Edited April 21, 2010 by Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 (edited) Thank you very much for the new, clear official picture of the Lego Truck, brickerik, and for the date of release, legomilk! The Lego Truck looks really - esp. the micro sets. The door piece just looks stupid, compared to the scale of the rest of the truck. More like a door for the driver's cat or something rather than a fig. I hope in 2011 LEGO comes up with a new piece that is functional but more to the scale of their current designs. I totally agree with you, Svelte. The 1x3x4 doors are the only thing which really disturbs! For many of their other themes TLG is releasing many new colors and mainly many new molds. So why could they not release two 1x3x5 doors?! They would fit much better, look much more realistic and even minifigs could walk through them. Btw: It seems as if we get three different micro sets: the Fire Pick-up, the small Police Car and the Lego Truck itself - three copies per set. lightningtiger Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 (edited) You are right 'Klaus-Dieter' and 'Svelte' the doors on the pantech are too small - hey my old man drove trucks for 40 years so I should know ! A 5 high door would be more realistic - can't wait to see the instructions for both the prime mover and pantech so I can start building a large trucking fleet of various kinds. So roll on mid-year release - I have notice some toy stores in Adelaide starting to make room in a big way for the new stocks to hit the shelves ! I'm a conformist! ! Quick edit folks - so why can't they have bigger doors if they did these........ They even came in yellow in a 1995 train set ! Edited April 21, 2010 by lightningtiger Quote
wooootles Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 1x3x5? Too big, I think. That's almost as big as this guy's. They should just use the same door that this one used. Quote

Ah, I'm not talking about the prime mover's cab doors , I saying about the pantech trailer doors ! Sorry, I just I should have said trailer when I posted a half hour or so ago. The Cobra Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 The Lego Truck looks really - esp. the micro sets. Except that oversized boxes now look even more oversized! Well, the yellow truck's a pimped version of an 80's classic that I proudly owned. Quote
Aanchir Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Except that oversized boxes now look even more oversized!Well, the yellow truck's a pimped version of an 80's classic that I proudly owned. It wasn't just an 80's set-- it was rereleased at least twice. I know because I got mine in the mid-90's, and my little brother got a slightly-different one years later (different in that it used this instead of this). I look forward to the LEGO truck myself-- while I'm rarely a collector of City sets, it'd be great either for myself or as a gift for a LEGO-loving friend or relative. Quote
Holodoc Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Nice new set Wow, Lego is definitely going green now: Either this is a photo-voltaic plate or a warm water solar panel. Way to go! (and it's open to the back, Klaus-Dieter will be delighted. ) Quote
Rick Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 First high-res of this set (where did you get it? Any sign of 8404 yet?) and I must say: it looks good. Wieners, PoP arches, two new(ish) torsos, full interior, and the pavement is made of 2 x 4 tiles... Does anybody know what the red thing on the porch immediately to the left of the door is? Quote
Bachus Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I have found the picture on the website of a dutch webshop. Quote
