Description and features of new fan Transportaton set from Toysrus.ca:

Chosen by LEGO fans, this transport station is packed with details and a lot of great new vehicles. Catch the tram at the LEGO City station or hop on the city bus to reach your final destination. Buy something at the kiosk while you wait! And help keep the city clean by brushing the garbage with the street sweeper or go cruising in the cool sports car.

•Includes 6 minifigures: bus driver, tram driver, bicyclist, shop assistant, garbage truck driver and passenger

•City tram features rooms for 6 passengers, driver's seat at both ends, opening doors and is compatible with LEGO train tracks

Should be interesting to see how it is compatible with LEGO train tracks.

Old news. Check this post by Grogall to see high-res images of the set which reveal all the stuff you just described. The tram uses these wheels.

Thanks for the heads up 'brickzone'

Here's a direct link to that page.....Lego city house 8403

It's an exclusive to this Smyths, as like in Australia it will be an exclusive to Toyworld, but then what about the rest of the world ?

I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

I just checked and it's in stores at my local store!

Guess what set I'm buying next

Well if you do and it' real soon, you could review it for us ! :sweet:

Isn't interesting which particular sets are general release and which are exclusive, I feel Lego have failed here. In Oz it's mainly country areas which have Toyworld stores and if you can find a mega-size one in the city you'll be lucky - this house set should have been a general release in all the retailiers not just one ! :sadnew:

Anyway, I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

May not be all that soon because for some strange reason I bought setaparist shuttle which I don't even really like

So you may have to wait a while...

Thanks for the info 'grogall' - have you considered doing any reviews for us ?

I didn't buy 8404, Would rather wait till my Lego Store has it so I can get the VIP points.

I did purchase 7848 but only because it's an exclusive, don't want to open it.

I did however take a picture of the back of the box from 8404. Excuse the finger and the slightly blurry pic!

Damn, if TRU in Germany are selling the public transport set at 69.99€ then TRU in Australia will be selling it for somewhere north of $150 or so most likely :(

Before we get more speculation, that's the price of the 6753 Creator car transporter (look closely at the tag). The price for 8404 Public Transportation Center was €100 if I recall correctly.

I have been told months ago and I think I did post it that 159 bucks Aussie would be the price for 8404 and 59 bucks for the TRU truck'n'shop !

For me I will be buying both for my son and keeping the boxes somewhere safe while he plays with it all !

Thanks 'grogall' for the back of the box picture, wow 9 bags !

I just came back from our local Toys'R'Us, which also had the Public Transport (99 €), and the Toys'R'Us-Truchk (29,95 €).

I bought the Truck, and will write a review during the next hours (my camera´s batteries are still charging). :hmpf_bad:

If anyone obtains the City House, City Public Transport or Toys R Us Truck, I would very much like it if they could provide a parts inventory of the set (e.g. a photograph of the instruction manual pages containing the parts list)

Oh and 160AUD for the City Public Transport. Yet more evidence that LEGO continues to increase their cross subsidization of the US market at the expense of the rest of the world.

Well the TRU truck'n'shop is a bit easier because the truck is a blue and white recolour of 3221 Lego Truck and the shop part is a simple 8x16 arrangement ideas from construction site and city corner - 6 high panels and window/door frames !

Oh, yeah I can't wait to see your review 'Nebsirob'.....again I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

Oh! Yes, sorry I had to move the box up a shelf to take the picture, the set cost €99.99 and not €69.99.

Also strange when I asked about 8403 say said it wasn't listed in there database!? default_cry4.gif

By the way, I'm not sure if anyone knows this but the three buildings in set

7633, 7641 and 8403 all have interchangeable floors.

example. you can take the ground floor from 8403 and then ad the middle floor

from 7633 and the roof from 8403 or 7641.

All of these fit together.

HR pics of the three sets.

I think this was a great idea from Lego! wander what they will add next?

Oh, just found a picture of what I mean!

Very interesting! :oh: Now I see why they chose such boring colours for 8403, they had to match the previous two sets so they all look good together! Good thinking!

Thanks for all the great pics and info grogall!

Yep, the local painter drinks a lot !

The house being turned into a 4 or 5 storey mismatch of colours/tones, meh !

But the Pizza shop and the shop of unknown goods actually looks better though !

A very Lego idea, eh ?
