Klaus-Dieter Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Thank you very much for the pictures of these promos, whung! 30011 looks good, 30012 looks bad and 30013 looks great. So, so, but nice sets for the small amount of pieces. The new cap mold was bound to appear in white somewhere sometime. Does this mean a new police line for 2011? Looks like they skip hospital/ambulance then. So is it just Police, Fire, Police, Fire, ... from now on? I totally agree with you, Rick. Like it was already discussed in this topic, there won't be a new hospital theme. But since fire appeared this year after three years, too, it's highly likely with police, too. Klaus-Dieter Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I actually like 30011 the most , but 30012...... what were Lego thinking ?!?! But I wonder if these are either planned co-promo sets or someone's MOC's (they are no instructions on Lego.com for them) ? I'm a conformist! everyone ! Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I'm with Tiger-- we already have the police quad from the Mobile Command Center, but maybe one more might not hurt either so a 30013 sounds good. And I'll probably grab at least 2 of the 30011 to patrol the waters. But 30012... meh. Borders on ridiculous. Quote
Fugazi Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Three new promos 30011-30013, should be counted as 2010 sets. Thanks for the pics whung! All 3 promotionals look rather uninspiring to me, but it's interesting to see one of those good old brackets, they haven't been used that much recently. While the boat and flying contraption aren't half bad, the police quad is probably the ugliest thing I've seen rolling out of TLG in 2010, right up there with 30030. Its only redemption is the minifig, 30030 had none. This goes to show that designing a great impulse is probably as difficult as creating a full-fledged set. Playability, sound design, originality (how many quads have we got already...), and all this using less than 30 pieces? Not an easy task. Quote
The Cobra Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 30011 is much better than last year's 30002. 30012 looks awful, hopefully better "live" than in the pic. 30013 is the Police version of 30000, but looks a bit better. Quote
WhiteFang Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 The new City polybags looks great. I am curious of its availability though. Love the 30011 patrol boat though. Quote
BrickClick Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Man I want that patrol boat I only own that raft piece in dark blue, which isn't exactly useful for me. And thanks for the pics Whung! Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 (edited) In case anyone cares-- just got back from Target and saw that they've clearanced the Garage to $69.98 USD... Between the City house, the Wampa Cave, the minifigs, the horizon-looming Imperial Flagship, the Winter Bakery (and hopefully Toy Shop re-release), and the various train sets, I just don't think it's on my list anymore despite a pretty good price. Going to be an interesting second half of the year. Edited July 23, 2010 by Mr. Elijah Timms Quote
just2good Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Three new promos 30011-30013, should be counted as 2010 sets. But I don't know why LEGO logo disappeared. Availability unknown. Waiting someone to tell us where are they appeared. 30011 30012 30013 30011 is my favorite, 30012 looks okay, but 30013 isn't as good as in my opinion. Quote
AllanSmith Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 We need to see the instructionsfor 8404 before we can yes or no to any form of power functioning the tram. I'm a conformist! ! greeny010 Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 new Lego club promo. Where or how do you get them? Do you must join the Lego club? Quote

Plus a free figure with the Lego Club, does that mean ALL members in all countries apart of the club system get this freebie ? I'm a conformist! ! Quote
TheWarden Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 new Lego club promo. Oooo, is that side-leg printing I see? Not too common. Quote
Ferdik Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) Wow, really cool! Do you think the club minifigure will be included with the next LEGO Magazine? Edited July 27, 2010 by Ferdik Quote
just2good Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 So when I was coming back from my vacation, I stopped at a LEGO store in Georgia. In the "storage room" (which wasn't a storage room at all, it was just some LEGO sets hidden behind some cardboard panes) was the Public Transport set, the Helicopter and Limo set, and the Family Home set. I tried buying them, and after two minutes of checking, the store clerk says he's not aloud to sell them until August 1st. So expect those three sets to be released on LEGOShop.com August 1st! Quote

Do you think the club minifigure will be included with the next LEGO Magazine? There's no chance that these polybagged versions of the Max minifig will be given away in magazines. It might be a giveaway at the August 14-15 LEGOLAND California club weekend, but definitely not as freebies in the magazine. If they were, then millions (or at least hundreds of thousands) would have to be given away! Also, I believe that the minifigs (without polybags) were randomly given away in February 2010 at LEGO Stores, and you can also buy a keychain version at the LEGO Shop for $5 USD. The Lego club magazine in Australia seems to include a keychain minifig every now and then. The last one was a rock monster so it could be they were not selling well, but I can't see Max having much appeal beyond the Lego club either. Quote
Jay Sathe Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Hey - It appears Public Transport is actually, permanently, in stock at TRU.com in the US. I just ordered mine, and the whole checkout worked. Free shipping! Quote

I just ordered mine, and the whole checkout worked. Free shipping! Actually saw it in the store itself yesterday. Also had all train stuff EXCEPT the Station, which of course is the one I was most interested in picking up. The stock was too fresh for it to have been there and already snatched up; they just didn't have it. Looking forward to seeing if the Heli & Limo and/or Family Home show up next week... Quote
