Brad-The-Brick Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Review them review them review them review them NOW! Quote
Oky Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I'm guessing he's a limited edition/ store exclusive. But there was never any word about it being exclusive... The Toy Story site at LEGO is up now, not much to see yet!http://www.lego.com/toystory/en-US/default.aspx ALL TOY STORY ARE NOW OUT IN US!!!!! How exciting!! I'll have to check my stores around here right away! Hehe. It's fun to play around with that ball on the website. Can't wait for some wallpapers to become available. Quote
Brad-The-Brick Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Now that they're out, I guess I can put my glass smashing hammer away. (Anyone else remember my controversial comment a couple pages ago?) Quote
Svelte Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 But there was never any word about it being exclusive... It's only a guess based on the fact that a lot of the online retailers don't seem to list him and we didn't get box art with all the other pics. Stop quibbling! Go get some sets and do us some reviews! (Although it looks like one of the Legolands has put stuff out early, which they sometimes do.) Quote
ILikePi Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 The Toy Story site at LEGO is up now, not much to see yet!http://www.lego.com/toystory/en-US/default.aspx Nice, thanks! I was waiting for the website to come out for quite a while. You're right, not much you can do, but you can click the blue 2 x 2 brick on the table and click the handle of the large drawer and the army men will do some things. ALL TOY STORY ARE NOW OUT IN US!!!!! I got the green soldiers and R?C with Buzz and woody today at legoland discovery Woodfield. thought none were at the lego store inside the mall. Hooray! Hopefully this means that they will be released early. Was 7595 Army Men on Patrol $11 USD and 7590 Woody and Buzz to the Rescue $20 USD? Quote
squidman85 Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Well, price forWoody's Round Up and for Command Starship is good, but other sets are a little bit pricy,thought... Quote
Pugsly Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) ALL TOY STORY ARE NOW OUT IN US!!!!! I got the green soldiers and R?C with Buzz and woody today at legoland discovery Woodfield. thought none were at the lego store inside the mall. just opened R/C it has a new blue pull back brick, Woody is cool but HUGE and Buzz has some interesting pieces to him..... just opened R/C it has a new blue pull back brick, Woody is cool but HUGE and Buzz has some interesting pieces to him..... well since i ran out of image space, remaining photos are going up on my flickr account (full res) http://www.flickr.com/photos/35155593@N05/...157622968641954 Edited December 9, 2009 by Pugsly Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) Here's a good question - Will there be a Toy Story TRU exculsive in 2010 ? Being such an American theme it might be like Star Wars or Indiana Jones and TRU getting an exclusive set. Oh, yeah 'Pugsly' review those sets as soon as you can (of course when you have time, no pressure Pugsly okay). Great, you post pics and I have to edit, ah well that's life ! Interesting to note Woody is ONE piece minifig, but you assemble Buzz Lightyear the normal way. Keep going when you can 'Pugsly' and thanks. Edited December 9, 2009 by lightningtiger Quote
Pugsly Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Ok I built it and it looks really nice. Full photos are on Flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/35155593@N05/...57622968641954/ The nicestest thing about this set? NO STICKERS!!!!!! That's right the art on the lime green pieces are painted on!!!!!! R/C looks really nice, the colors are bright and vibrant, actually the piece count is lower than i thought it would be. Woody is a lot taller than i think he needs to be, his legs are 3 studs tall! Buzz is nice, his clear helmet shield is only half a shield (it is suppossed to remain in the "up" position and not cover his face) and it doesn't stay on the rest of the helmet real good, the clear shield keeps popping off. Other than that it's a good set for $19.99. I think it's maybe worth more like $16- $17 USD but all in all a good set cause buzz and woody look good and for once painted bricks and not Stickers!!!!! PS the army men are coming up next!!!!!!!!! Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Thanks 'Pugsly' for the pictures, the set looks fanastic ! Some how Lego has pulled it off with the shape and colours so true to the movie ones. My son sees this he is going to beg me to get it for him, ah well I'll be poorer again next year, that's life. Pugsly Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) I now just finished the Lego Army men on patrol 7595. The mini figs are cool!!!! ALL Green, (think tree green) One mini fig comes with a medic helmet (white cross on front) the other 3 are plain. The jeep is neet in all green too. Comes with 2 rifles, 2 binoculars, 1 mine detector, 1 stretcher, 1 backpack, and 2 radios. All in all a definate keeper at $9.99 USD!!! The all green mini fig to me are worth it!!!!! I might just buy a few more sets to make my green mutant zombie army!! again full res pix on flickr at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/35155593@N05/...57622844403869/ Edited December 9, 2009 by Pugsly Quote
Big Cam Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 OMG, i just looked through your pics of the green army men, I am so buying at least 5 of those battle packs. The green army men are sweet!!! Isn't it weird that you can buy these in stores but they are not on LEGO's website? Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Thanks for the reviews & pictures 'Pugsly'. Lego have hit a home run on these green army guys ! It would not take much to change heads and hands to normal yellow and have you own Legoland army ! They are great and once again I'll say I'm going to be poorer next year ! Quote
The Who Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Thanks Pugsly, they look great! I didn't think Lego still usd that rocket-bottom cylinder piece with the fins on it. Those Army Men look like they have the same torso design as the Indy Belloq minifig, but in green. If the Woody comes assembled, does he come apart? Quote
Pugsly Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) yes he does Edited December 9, 2009 by Pugsly Quote
Grimmy Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I think they looks great. Would have been nice if Woodys hat came off but I guess they wanted to save on an extra mold step process. On the other hand, no stickers, they printed right on most likely using their usual silk screen process. Quote
Brad-The-Brick Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 When will these be availabile at TRU?!? I can't wait much longer for those sets! I'm gonna go insane if I can't get one by at least next week! Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Here's a good question - Will there be a Toy Story TRU exculsive in 2010 ?Being such an American theme it might be like Star Wars or Indiana Jones and TRU getting an exclusive set. No, the theme will probably die out as soon as everyone sees TS3 and forgets about it months after the release. There just isn't enough ideas to makes sets out of, or are impossible (Slinky dog, Mr. Potato because of licensing issues with companies, same with that dinosaur) to produce. I'm sorry, but I'm am going to predict that this will be just like Speed Racer back in 2008, once the hype dies down after the initial movie release, no more sets will be released. Also, some of the more iconic toys are made by Hasbro or Fisher Price, so due to copyright issues, I'm afraid that there will be no Mister Potato. Quote
Oky Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 More sightings of TS sets in the US! Skyward72 says he found 2010 sets in his TRU and Pepa Quin over at FBTB says the same. He says: "they had RC ($21.99), army men (12.99) Buzz Statue ($25.99) and Woody’s Roundup ($54.99)". Just TRU overpricing, I suppose, but at least it's not too bad. Also, SirTank over in the SW forum said that his TRU will be getting the 2010 SW sets this Friday, so be sure to all check your local TRU on Saturday! Maybe the TS sets will be there too! Quote
ILikePi Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Not sure if this has been posted yet, but there's a clearer box art of 7593 Buzz's Star Command Spaceship on Brickset: The back can open in a way similar to 7639 Camper, with a mining vehicle of some sort stored inside! Quote
Oky Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) Yes, it was posted one or two pages ago. Unfortunately, the first post of this thread hasn't been updated for a while. Speaking of which, why is the rumor list for march incomplete? On the original rumor list, there was also a set called "7596 Alien Crane and Trash Compactor". Did I miss something? Was this proven fake or something? When you update the first post, Svelte, don't forget the Build-a-Zurg pics: Can't wait 'til tomorrow! Edited December 12, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
Svelte Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Calm down, Oky, the first post was updated 8 Dec Everything is in the Pinned Index, as well. I hadn't seen that brickset pic before, and I'll add Build A Zurg. Prices can wait until they go live at S@H since reports are so variable. I'll add that rumour set too - don't know why that dropped off. Quote
Christian Posted December 13, 2009 Author Posted December 13, 2009 I found these today. It seems like they have not been posted yet. 7596 7597 7789 Quote
