Hmm. The Trash Compactor set doesn't look too bad, but I won't be getting it. I'm still waiting to see if the Alien minifigs get released in a cheaper set (or more interesting set) in the future.

I read a few pages back about a Pizza Planet Truck set. Is this going to be Duplo, like it says in the first post? I really wish it isn't, because I believe that's where the Little Green Men came from.

The train is beginning to look better and better to me, lots of useful pieces. I think I might have get that (but I will do like Svelte and sell the figures). :classic:

Thanks for that link! :cry_happy: I bet the train sequence is the opening sequence of the movie. They start out showing it through Andy's eyes, and then it is revealed that it's just young Andy playing with his toys in a flashback. You can tell because we see the train going down a bridge, and there is K'nex-like bridge with the train lying on the floor in this scene from the first trailer.

Now it makes much more sense for TLC to make this set.

If we really get that insect dude from that trailer, that would be awesome, especially if he is a normal minifig! :sweet:

Speaking of minifigs, they are all over that day care center! :cry_happy:

Seriously can't wait for this movie!

And Toy Fair. :grin: I really hope they have the TS sets there!

Disney seems to be clamping down hard on anyone posting anything about TS3 and its storyline beyond what they have officially released.

Disney seems to be clamping down hard on anyone posting anything about TS3 and its storyline beyond what they have officially released.

Lego contacted us today to have the images removed. (The files are still in our data bases but i'm not allowed to distribute it to the public) Same case goes for toysrus.ca.

:look: Are you implying that they shouldn't be there? I don't think a minifig without accessories is considered a small part... Is it?

Hey what are those minifigs doing?? :oh3: Are they helping a poor bear get re-stuffed? Looks like a bear had an accident! Well he'll get by with a little help from his friends. :grin:

I was too late to see the pictures before they were taken off but I did some Google searching and even though a lot of the sites have removed them, I did find one with the pics still there. Someone must have been working for a few hours contacting all those sites to ask them to remove them. Lego fans...always digging in those websites not yet finished and finding the pictures. lol

Anyway, the toy train look doesn't appeal to me. I've always wanted a Lego train but I think it's weird how these new ones don't have the engine pulling the cars. The motor is in the middle of the trains or something. But I don't like the Toy Story 3 train anyway. I'm surprised at myself as I love the new Toy Story sets. Just not the Toy Story 3 ones. The Trash Compactor Escape doesn't look appealing. Not much it can do. The yellow dumb truck is good but for 4 year olds maybe. I don't think these new Toy Story 3 sets are anywhere as good as the others.

The head can still come off. Trust me, as the second-oldest of five, I know how adept kids are at finding improbable ways of choking on things. You should see the Lego I have left from before my dark age. I keep it quarantined.

My personal favourite Legoman in this video is the one waving while Mrs. Potato Head is checking out Flick's muscles.

Actually, just thought of something.

The other sets may be Duplo, but that doesn't necessarily mean the minifigs will be replaced, does it?

That means I won't be interested in future sets unless they have normal minifigs (and even then, I would only be interested in the minifigs). I wonder what I should do with the sets that I buy if they are Duplo...

They wouldn't put regular minifigs into Dublo sets, the studs wouldn't fit the feet and they'd be out of scale with the bricks.

I don't want to get the Duplo sets myself, but have pictures of them been released?

This set had a second daycare fig last time we saw it, but I don't recall a Legoman in the cab. He looks a bit odd.... the truck in the movie must come with a driver build-in. That would explain the fleshy skin and irregular torso.

I loved the chunky design then and I still love it. I'm not sure if it would really work in City because of that, but as a toy truck, I think they captured the look perfectly. The front looks a bit odd, with the grille being only three studs wide with four loose studs below it. They ever do anything like that before?

So I would MOD it will different headlights and try and put a drivers door on plus make it for regular minifig.......ready for a attack of the giant purple teddy bear ! :laugh:

There's all the proof I need to confirm my guess that the "Duplo" sets aren't normal Duplo.

I think I've seen this set somewhere, but with a purple squid thing.

I still have hope for some cheap aliens. =)

What the heck are you talking about? :wacko: Believe it or not, this is a system set.

Too bad we haven't seen these at Toy Fair yet, but there are banners and empty walls dedicated to Toy Story, so I'm guessing there will be a big unveiling later on. Can't wait!

Sometimes I don't express myself correctly. =P

I meant that I thought they wouldn't be sets with fairly large Duplo pieces and large minifigs. I don't completely follow Lego's system of what a set is classified as.

The body of the truck driver seems to be a 2 x 2 dome piece with one center stud. Is it known whether that's a yellow construction helmet he's wearing? That would drive prices down quite a bit.
