roamingstop Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Looks like the train, dump truck and others have been pulled from the link :( If anyone was quick enough they might have an early bargin...From memory the train was around $70 (max), trash compator around $50 and the Dump Truck also around $50 but listed as limited edition only. All had qualified for free shipping... The Duplo versions of the released models have also been pulled from this link now. However there was also a Jessie's Round Up which is not in normal lego - with a nice couple of better sized models. Quote
ILikePi Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 (edited) I wasn't able to see them. Masked No need to worry, the Brick Show is working hard and is producing reviews of all three of the sets! They have a video review of Lotso's Dump Truck out now: Their reviews on Trash Compactor Escape and Western Train Chase are coming soon! Chunk's face is on a "rolling pin", which allows him to have two different expressions, just as I thought! Interestingly, the inside of the truck is only 4 wide - there's one of those smokestack things that takes up two rows of studs on the right of the truck. The driver minifig has a dark blue hollow dome piece as his body. Not sure why, but he probably looks like that in the movie. The set seems a bit pricey for $20 since it only has one play feature (the dumping tipper bed that retracts back because of a rubber Technic piece), but I guess that the size of the set had to be reduced because of the new tipper bed piece and the cool minifigs you get. EDIT 4/22/10: Brick Show's Western Train Chase review is out: Edited April 23, 2010 by ILikePi Quote
Dunjohn Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Hmm, yeah, I've kinda cooled to this set, but I'm planning to get the train set if I can afford it and this would get me the basic Lotso to fill out the character lineup (plus, obviously, the two hench...things) so I may end up getting it anyway. We'll see how it works out. I still adore the chunky toy look of it, but it just doesn't look like an interesting set in terms of build, parts etc. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 That dump truck actually looks good and for the figures it's worth getting ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
ILikePi Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 (edited) The Brick Show released their video review of Trash Compactor Escape today: They forgot to put in their "quick pic" so they're going to reupload the video soon. EDIT: Video replaced with the fixed version Edited April 30, 2010 by ILikePi Quote
-Tilius- Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Lotso trying to help Woody? Nah. He's gonna be trying to burn Woody, and the Aliens will save him by use of the claw (in a role-reversal of the first movie. Hopefully there'll be a 'THE CLAWWWW' reference). But anyway, the set itself is quite unappealing 'cause of the markings. I doubt I'll pick this up to be honest, but looks quite good anyway. - Tilius Quote

Artoo Detour Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 (edited) I'm in charge of shipping/receiving at a Lego Store and we just got our TS3 shipment in this week. The price for the Pizza Planet Truck is $39.99 in the US. Our release date is May 1st, so if you have a Lego Store nearby you ought to be able to get the sets then. Hmm, I may have underestimated the size of the truck. It's most likely around $40-$50 here. May seems a bit early to me, but it's probably going to be later here. Quote

It may be a bit overpriced, but Rex and Hamm are awesome minifigs, and most (if not all) parts of the set are printed! You also get a ton of solid and transparent windshields of different types. Oky Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 (edited) And pizzas! Lots and "Lotso" pizzas! Never underestimate the awesomeness of pizza! Cowabunga, dude! (OK, nerdy chain of references over.) Two more days to go! Edited April 30, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote

FinalFeature Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Thanks for the pictures Lego-Freak! I called a Lego store yesterday asking if they had the sets in yet. The person on the phone told me they did have it but are not allowed to sell it until Saturday. I don't know if this apply's to all Lego stores, but call the Lego store before you go. Anyway, i cant wait till Saturday. LegoGalactus Quote
