I liked that the part about Bota Manga, although how they got there was to be frank, crap.

The rest of it just seems like loose ends trying to be tied up as quickly as possible so the new serials can start :sceptic:

Nobody seems to notice how that Great Being who touched the Ignika and now everything he touches comes to life just suddenly appeared? :cry_happy:

Then again I could be wrong. But that looks like the most likely thing.

Also I totally didn't predict Vezon for once.

I just had a discussion with Greg concerning the status of the Ignika and its future, and I must say I am extremely disapointed. It was not as if I expected Greg to change his mind, but no matter how many points I brought up and pointed out things that I don't see as making sense, all I ever got was "It's Mata Nui's will" or "There are no plans for it" or totally besides the point explanations of how Mata Nui didn't oppress the Matoran. So guys, don't even bother to write out your arguments very well and detailed, no matter how valid, in the future, Greg will just ignore it.

And now the Bohrok also suddenly don't have AI anymore? How the **** did the Matoran reprogram them then after they were defeated?!

I think it was the best chapter up so far. Lots of good things happened.

Yup. I only have to say:

"Hello, brother, I thought it was time for a family reunion."

Awesome chapter, but I still wonder why Greg chose not to give the Prototype robot domes and nanotech. It would be so much easier for the Agori to just enter Mata Nui's body and work in it like Matoran... They'd be better protected, and there'd be no need for an inadequately explained energy source.

Probably purely because there wouldn't be any ground conflict or posible sets for 2010 if that were the case. I agree that it would've been much better though.

That was a great chapter, although I'm disappointed at the amount of powers the Prototype robot seems to have. Before now, gravity control could've come from Mata Nui (he shows this power in the script for BIONICLE 5), rather than the actual robot. If the prototype robot was made just to see if it would work, why are there so many time-consuming extra features installed?

It would probably need (at least internal) gravity control just to keep its machinery from collapsing in on itself due to its immense weight.

Also, we wouldn't really need ground conflict if the Agori went into the prototype robot... Makuta could easily send his minions into Mata Nui's domes. It would raise the stakes, too, as the heroic Stars would have to protect Mata Nui's spirit from the evil Stars from the inside.

That would require a hug of sorts which I can't see being used as such a significant story device. (Although that did happen, but...)

It's an awesome picture, and I'm happy to see the airships again... But why are the latest updates all out of order?

Flashbacks, for no apparent reason.

The new artwork is nice, but it doesn't match the story at all. I'm in great anticipation of the next update though, which if continuing this flashback, should show 2001 Matoran life. :sweet:

I like how the airships are coming from the Endless Ocean rather than from below the island/Naho Bay. Someone really oughta give this artist a briefing of the actual story.

Still a great pic, though.

That part never made sense to me even in 2004-2005. After all, there's never any mention of the Toa Metru being completely underwater during any of their voyages to the surface world or back. Which makes very little sense IMO, since they approach the island from sea according to most of the resources. Where, then, can the tunnels be that water wouldn't be flooding in?

Basically I've given up trying to understand that, and just chalked it up to BIONICLE physics being weird and somehow allowing the water to obey different laws of gravity. Which, given the now-known mechanics of the MU, might in fact be the case.

Anyway, I liked this latest RoS. Yes, Vezon is a plot device, but he's a very entertaining one. And the latest chapter of Journey's End was simply epic. Can't wait to see what those BIONICLE battle videos hinted at in the January comic are all about.

I liked the new RoS, despite it's rushed-ness. I also liked the new Journey's End chapter. Romance? Good dialogue? Just... awesome.

Oh, and you can't forget that MNS. Matoro is just kind of falling. Nothing too epic, but Karda Nui looks cool.

Annnnd, I got Rebirth (Final BIONICLE comic) today. It's really nice in-hand.

Thanks for the link PKN, it saves me from logging in and entering a code each time.

This chapter was very good, and it's great to have both MU and BM characters experiencing the same events in one chapter, even if they're not together quite yet.

MNS #24 is up. Mata Nui notices the Ignika creating the Golden Armor for Tahu, who is, strangely enough, still in his Mistika form. Again, the scales are WAY OFF.

Also, has anyone noticed that MNS and Journey's End constantly refers Teridax simply as "Makuta"? It kinda annoys me a bit.

Seeing as hardly anyone knows that his real name is Teridax, it seems appropriate.

Admittedly, though, Mata Nui does know his real name (hopefully), and never really had to use Makuta as a title of respect as the Matoran had, so one would think he'd refer to him as Teridax. And I think he did at one point in MNS, but it'd make sense if it were more consistent.

The reason why he doesn't, of course, is probably so fans can better understand that the first-person MNS and third-person media like Journey's End and the comics are talking about the same character. If one consistently used "Teridax" and the other consistently used "Makuta", it'd be very confusing for fans who hadn't been around for past story.

New MNS is awesome. It is a bit odd that Tahu's shown in his Mistika form, but I think the epicness of Teridax looming over Mata Nui makes up for it. One imagines that Mata Nui has just been struck down, and as he gets up he notices the Mask of Life doing its thing. Teridax notices it too, and clearly is not amused.
