Malum_King_Vorox Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 (edited) Chapter 10 of "Reign of Shadows" is up!!! Fix'd Edited February 6, 2010 by 3D Brickthing
Zarkan Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 (edited) In before anyone flames Greg for supposedly killing off over a half a dozen characters in the span of a few paragraphs. Seriously, it's so obvious that they're going to escape - as long as Brutaka has the Olmak, just about any situation you can think of is probably escapable. Of course, knowing that his mask is damaged, they'll probably be teleported to an alternate universe where Artahka and Karzahni's roles are switched, and Makuta Spiriah is the king of the MU. Otherwise, nice to see the Toa Mahri appear again, and Artahka's appearance is very interesting and unexpected. I was exoecting Gold and some other color, but dark green and grey? Oh, and it looks like ol Terrydacks is trying to create some sort of super Makuta - and in the process he has completed the process of killing off all of the Piraka. Heh, somebody's not going to be happy about this.... Edited February 6, 2010 by Grevious
Brickthing Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 I'm pretty sure that the Olmak or some other Deus ex Machina will be used to get them out of that situation because A) Greg probably isn't allowed to kill via space implosion in a kid's story, B) 8 fairly important/popular characters are out there as well as the MoC, and C) I strongly suspect that the entire thing was just a plot device to get Hafu and Kapura in space.
~Wrack'n'Ruin~ Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 "Dayum it's Artakha!" "Dayum right it's Artakha" "You so awesome Artakha!" "I know it" "INSTANT TRANSMISSION" "Dayum we're in space!" Way to go Greg.
Phantoka Kopaka Nuva Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Oh great. Now there's a new hideous creature, made from a Zyglak, a Vortixx, a "Krekka" (it's a member of Krekka's species, but I'll say "Krekka" for short), and the 5 Piraka. And yet, Greg didn't say the Piraka are dead. So I'm thinking... a creature with all the Piraka's heads in it. 5 minds in 1 body. Now that is SICK.
Nightmare Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 You guys complaining about the space thing... Remember, we have a guy who has a Mask of Creation, a guy who is a Toa of Air, and a guy with an Olmak. What else do you need? I think they've created another Makuta... The green thing... Energized Protodermis... And something to make up for the body. And about the Piraka: Either, they're part of the being, or they're back to their original forms.

Brutaka doesn't have his Olmak anymore, Teridax destroyed it.
Nightmare Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Brutaka doesn't have his Olmak anymore, Teridax destroyed it. Artakha can always create a new one
Refia Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 If Arthaka can teleport beings into Karda Nui, he can teleport them out of space. I didn't like this chapter. Tren Krom was lamely written out of the story, and Helryx still has atitude problems. Also, there's simply no plot of any kind in Reign of Shadows, and instead of tying up loose ends, Greg just keeps creating more. It's been more than a year, and still we don't know what Kopaka is doing, or Gali, or Pohatu, or Voporak with the Vahi, or the Shadowed One with the Barraki. =( *sigh*

Even if it does, he'd have to teleport everyone a lot farther than he's had to do during his time in the MU, that's for sure. Meanwhile, I think Tren Krom's departure was actually pretty epic. In fact, this chapter is probably one of the most epic things I've read that wasn't in a comic or book.
Xion Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Does it actually explain how Artahka has the power to take the mind of tren krom and send it back into his body? Or is it just a "cool" power Greg gave to him to fit the story?
Trionx Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 The alternative with Tren Krom is to stretch it out over the last few chapters Greg has left, so I'm GLAD we got this taken care of considering that it's been quite a few months since TK stepped back in the story. At the very least the dialogue was petty cool.
Zarkan Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Some new info just surfaced on BZP - according to Greg, the green mist that floated into the EP tank is NOT antidermis.
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Some new info just surfaced on BZP - according to Greg, the green mist that floated into the EP tank is NOT antidermis. ... diseased smoke monster!
---Vertea--- Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Wasn't there a smoke monster in "LOST"? lol yeah. Maybe that's where it came from.
Artahn Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Interesting crossover... Both have complex storylines, are ending this year, and probably won't end with all of the questions answered. Anyone else just realize that?

How fun it would be if, in the last episode, Mata Nui rose from beneath the Island. :D Not to get off topic. xD I wouldn't be surprised if that green cloud is Zaktan.

And both LOST and BIONICLE had novelizations written by C.A. Hapka! :O EEZ A CONSPIRACY! Meanwhile, yeah, Zaktan would make sense if he weren't dead... unless, of course, Makuta's blast just rendered him even more fragmented than he was before. In which case I don't see how his protodites would even be acting as a cohesive mass any more.
Artahn Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 You're kidding... C. A. HAPKA WROTE FOR BOTH?!
The Alchemyst Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Her books were terrible for Bionicle though. I remember so many errors.
Phantoka Kopaka Nuva Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 New MN's Saga up. It's a pic of MN powering up the BM robot. Not much story info, since we've already went past this event. But the artwork is still AWESOME.
80 Dollar Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I do not know why but I really like this MOC of Artakha. They should make some official contest about his likeness.
