Wow...

That was really good for an ending, I didn't think it was going to play out that differently, but it was still good.

R.I.P. Teridax. May you not be hit in the head with a moon in the Bionicle afterlife(Karzahni?)...

I'm not sure what to think. I'll wait until Journey's End for a more exact answer to this ending.

And Teridax's death, great. I always thought me might get crushed by one of the robots, should it become a fight on the ground, instead of as robots. Close enough.

All scans.

So the Matoran Universe just had a second Great Cataclysm times ten. How wonderful. Not that that matters, apparently.

It probably wasn't as bad, given that the first Cataclysm had the robot fall from space rather than from standing.

The ending was nice I suppose, but Teridax's take-down didn't suit his character/deeds, and many questions remain unanswered. Considering that Tahu Mistika featured, it should have been possible for the rest of the Nuva to appear at the end as well...Also, Tahu didn't get re-evolved. :sceptic:

And what's with the 6-armed 4-legged combiner?

So basically Teridax, whos raw strength could have overpowered Mata Nui, decides to kill him with a "gravity pull" instead? Right...

Also, I disliked the way everyone just got up and out of the Matoran universe straight away after Teridax is killed. These hatches, that were meant to have remained secret, seem to have been known by everyone now.

And as for the final grievance, how exactly do they understand each other? Gresh speaks a completely different language to Tahu and Takanuva...

I'm a little dissappointed by the scans, hopefully we'll get a proper epic CG movie like in 2008. :sceptic:

I'm not so happy with the art either. Look at the panel

where teridax pulls the moons back

Bota Magna and Aqua mana look like big meteorites instead of planets and since when consists more then 50% of Bara Magna of water? :hmpf_bad:

Not to mention the fact that Aqua Magna was only the size of Teridax's head. Probably because Mhan didn't pay much attention to the story. That's the problem with most of the BIONICLE comic artists. Ah well, just think of that as "artistic license".

And sorry, no CG movies for 2010. Only stop-motion Battle Videos featuring the Stars.

As expected, that comic was rushed so much it ain't even funny, but I have to say I still like it. Good art, despite some very glaring inconcistencies.

Aqua Magna the size of Teridax his head? How could he ever have been submerged in it then? 0_o

What exactly happened to Mata Nui?

More importantly, is poor Ignika alright? Is his cute fragile mind still intact?

And eh,

how is Greg gonna get out of the massive amounts of deaths that have to have occured in Metru Nui and the rest of the MU?

But overall, good ending. I actually found a few panels epic,

like when Mata Nui and Makuta were drawn as shadows while Mata Nui drives Teridax back.

Journey's End could have made for an epic movie indeed.

I think the book will make much more sense of these things. The comics really mess up the story a lot. (But have very nice art. )

What would be awesome is if the graphic novels are able to continue post-2010.

That new combiner on the back is hideous enough to be cool though. I bet it's that thing from ROS 10...

I'm not going to read the new comic until I get it myself-- it's just too special, being the last one and all. But it's nice to see from the centerfold ads that we finally know the name of Mata Nui Saga's illustrator.

In the OGD, I remember reading that Mata Nui made it possible for the MU peeps and the BM peeps to understand each other.

A few plot holes in the story, but still a great story. Now I can't wait for what happens next -

there are probably more Rahkshi left, not to mention Visorak and troublesome Skakdi who will surely shake things up

As 80 Dollar said, it's probably meant to be a smaller space rock. Looking at the size of it, I'm not too sure that Bara Magnans would even be able to see it as a moon when it was far enough to be in orbit.

He left, because the after-story of Bionicle will revolve in Toa and Glatorian teaming up to find Mata Nui.

The neat thing with Makuta's death was that the rock struck the back of his head, in the spot below Metru Nui. That area has been portrayed to be very big in the past, so it probably could've completely obliterated the GS brain and Makuta's antidermis, while leaving the surface Metru Nui relatively un-harmed.

I actually thought that was pretty beautiful, with

Mata Nui's speech

and everything. It was indeed a fitting end to the awesome toy line.

Makuta's death was also brutal, but I guess fitting. And the end with Mata Nui... man, that was emotional.

That was rather epic.

Lot of death, though. Al the Kraata got fried and Terikuta got knocked out.

(I'm not willing to say he's dead because I've been a fan during the multiple times he's died before.)

Greg confirmed that he was dead. In any case, the comic made it pretty clear that he died.

EDIT: I take it back, Greg has been saying that "it looks like" he's dead. So I'm going to go with you on this.

Does anybody else suspect that a future serial will deal with the dream plague effecting people? Given that Teridax has already arrived when Sahmad finds Metus, it's quite unlikely that that arc will be closed before the conclusion of Journey's End.

Sahmad's Tale will be short, so I don't think Greg will use the dream plague for future serials.

You know what I think?

The Golden Armor is just LAME. Seriously, I was expecting something cooler than a Nova spreadshot.

I'm sure we'll see more in the novel. I mean, we got, what, one panel of him using the armor? A page at best? No explanation as far as I remember. I'm sure the novel will clear up what it is and what it does.

If so, it'll likely have something to do with Makuta.

I suppose the comic was alright. It was horribly rushed and at some parts painfully so. The worst part was Makuta's death and the expected boring "Good guy Mata Nui wins" ending. Eugh. I'd much rather have had Makuta go through a Heel Face Turn, and team up with Mata Nui to stop Bara Magna's moons from killing everyone when they crash back into the planet. That would have been a satisfying ending. Or even better if it were revealed that the EP entity was the real Big Bad of the story, and Makuta and Mata Nui had to team up to destroy it. That would have been really cool as well. But this ending. Sorry Greg, but it was pretty terrible.

Nice art though.
