iLego94 Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Yeah, I think the comic is just meant to wrap up the story without the Hollywood ending, just giving a bit more story info to the fans who care. I really hope the next comic has a glossy cover like this one :) ~iLego94
Tyranide Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 (edited) And you are not involved because...well? Look at Star Wars forum, they already have summer set names for their theme... Because I was on summer vacation and hadn't time. BUT! Right now I've reestablished (wow, what a nice word I've remembered!) contact and, if nothing goes wrong, will be able to do something this Friday. I won't promise anything, of course - when things aren't depending on me, I can't be sure of anything. Also. Where did this come from? January 2010 - "Bionicle Stars" * 7116 Toa Tahu * 7117 Gresh * 7135 Toa Takanuva * 7136 Skrall (Branar) * 7137 Piraka * 7138 Rakhshi Edited September 6, 2009 by Tyranide

Brickthing Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Not sure where you got the Stars title and Branar from, but the rest came from Amazon. I don't see how Branar could be a star though, especially seeing as he's just a Skrall that Greg came up with for a serial, and he's established that he looks exactly like a normal Skrall, but with a whip.
The Alchemyst Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 And of course we can trust Wikipedia. >.> Was it from there, or did someone add it to Wikipedia? =/ [-TA-]
Omicron Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 And of course we can trust Wikipedia.>.> Was it from there, or did someone add it to Wikipedia? =/ [-TA-] Someone would have had to add it to be from there. :P -Omi
Tyranide Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Bionicle Stars came from Wikipedia. That's enough information for me. Why can't people stop vandalizing Wikipedia? That Branar thing really disappointed me)) Got a little update right now... catalogue will be available for our scouts in the middle of the month. Probably. From the story point... it's still possible that some of MU residents come to Bara Magna. Or otherwise. Or the story will be split between two locations. Or something else. And new Mata Nui set, for example, will just come out in summer. I rreally don't think that list that came from Amazon can be entirely fake. Only if TLC decided to send fake list to them.

And as far as recurring characters go, I think that we'll get a few in canister, a few in boxed sets, and the rest might be new sets entirely. Or perhaps next year will be like in 03 with a whole year of villains for the heroes of the previous year to face.

It should be pics by now, unless LEGO has changed thing up a bit to throw leakers off. Atlantis has a pic, but a crappy one, like the 09 summer leaks. I hope the 2010 winter leaks are good pics ~iL
The Alchemyst Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Well looks like leaks are starting to spread; I just saw a couple of SW ones on Bshelf. ._. I hope we'll see them soon enough. >.> That way we can rant about how _______ looks like a ________ and how that's not ________ and how differing opinions are absolutely WRONG. [-TA-]

Last year was the happy medium, but if we get one or two high- res pics and a few thumbnails, you wouldn't see me crying :) BTW, look at this from an old "Myths and Misconceptions" article on BZP "The Toa Nuva will use the Ignika to wake up Mata Nui -- And as this article's grand finale, I can't forget this one. Short answer: No." EPIC FAIL. I guess after all the Nuva themselves didn't use it, but still, EPIC FAIL ~iL
Goggles Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Man i loved the original bionicle.Hope there bringing back the old sets.
Omicron Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Man i loved the original bionicle.Hope there bringing back the old sets. See thats the thing. If they bring back old sets, it really isn't "old sets". :P If would just be new and improved. -Omi

iLego94 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Tahu was the only one who had anything to do with the old set, the lines on his mask are there, but that was the mata mask, not the nuva one, so, in short the mistika were a let down. I don't care if they bring back old sets as long as they do something for the 10th ann. ~iL
The Alchemyst Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Am I the only one that liked the Toa Mistika? o.o They had some sweet masks, [Never got Gali], useful weapon pieces [Tahu Shield Blades, Onua's shield], introduced the versatile jets in 2 colors and fins in 3. Onua also had his sweet chest armor. The Makuta side also brought some neat colors, pieces and designs. [-TA-]
Bundalings Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I liked the Mistika too. Gorast and Krika were really cool on the Makuta side (Krika more so. Bitil never interested me), and I liked Gali a lot, once I lengthened her neck and brought her shoulder armor down a peg. Onua was decent, despite some weird color layering, and I never got Tahu so no comment there. Am I the only one who doesn't want leaks? I think it would be a nice change of pace to not see the sets until they are complete. ~Bunda

Th parts were great, and the masks were cool, but overall there was an abuse of silver, frustratingly simplistic design(Toa) and an overall lack of looking anything like what they were trying to be. The Makuta looked more like monsters- and that's what they should have been. The toa should have been new characters instead of supposed old ones.

Just imagine walking into some store in December, and seeing the new sets having no idea what they were going to look like.
ShaddowCroc Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Yeah, that would be nice. Just imagine walking into some store in December, and seeing the new sets having no idea what they were going to look like. That would be a really interesting change of pace. I think knowing exactly what the Glatorian looked like in the middle of last year kinda made they're arrival when they finally got to shelves less interesting and momentous.

I think knowing exactly what the Glatorian looked like in the middle of last year kinda made they're arrival when they finally got to shelves less interesting and momentous.Either that or the fact that the Legends leaked less than a week after I first spotted the Glatorian.
The Dor Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Alright the moment leaks are found; I'll probably take a quick peak and then stay away from here until I get the sets D: I wanna see what it's like again lol And srsly am I the only one confused as to why Greg would spend years telling us that they had to wait to rerelease the Toa Nuva because they didn't want to confuse the retailers, only to get slapped in the face by Skrall AND Gresh two years in a row?
