If these are the actual sets, it seems that I have a bigger budget for Star Wars... Seriously someone tell me Tillius is behind this. How is this likable? Other than new parts and recolors for a cheaper price. Seems these are only good for MOCs. Of course I'll wait for clearer pictures and to see if we are actually getting bionicle "stars."

See I don't see why they have to remake the Hau again, especially since they already have a mold with an axle pin already in existence.

-Omi

The Original Tahu Mata Hau that can be seen in the picture only comes with a stud connection. The axle Haus are completely different shapes, and wouldn't represent the original Tahu that they seem to be making.

To those who think these could be fakes - it's on a LEGOLAND site, along with all the other prelim theme pictures that all seem to be accurate, so it's very unlikely that they're fake. Prelims yes, but they should at least bear some similarity to the final sets.

@ Front - I know it's probably too late for the sets, but if these are the sets for next year, please tell the designers not to slack off on the eye colours! I can see that as being one of our biggest complaints if the eyes are only neon-green, orange or blue. Like I said early, I don't want you to confirm anything to us, but I'd appreciate it if you asked. :classic:

I enlarged the image and it seems that in the bottom right corner for Gresh it shows a gold Vahi or Kraakan, while on the other hand Tahu has his gold Hau. Could this mean the return of collectables?

I do hope so. Although the pictures above it seem to be boxes of bigger sets. Maybe gold collectors items of the small sets are available in the bigger related sets?

And what official word says they are making the original Tahu? It is always been known that when a character returns as a set it is remade altogether.

Besides I heard that the original Kanohi molds are pretty much gone and no longer in production, so they would either have to use the current Hau mold (that being Lhikan's mask) or make another one.

Also, there is the fact that Tahu is a Nuva, so why revert him back to Mata?

Well we know Mata Nui and crew will return next year, but I think this line may be a different line from the main one. Sorrty for spelling or grammar, I feel like crap :(

Judging by the pictures, the set names and their umbrella names, it sounds like they've fudged the story, and are doing "The Best of" for BIONICLE 2001-2009. Any storyline will probably be stretched to accommodate the change, but hopefully it won't be too unbelievable.

I heard that too, but this wouldn't be the first time that LEGO has "re-acquired" a piece. They've reused pieces that haven't been used in over 20 years in other themes, and although the physical molds originally used might be gone into the infrastructure of a LEGO factory, no company would be stupid enough to throw away the technical specifications and information that they used to create the mold in the first place. LEGO can remake a Hau if they need to.

I love the Bio story b/c it is so unique, due to how it is written. They should just make another MNOLG, it's cheap and everybidy would be happy.

I mean we can't decide an entire line on just two sets; small sets for that matter. =/

It looks like the Lower right of each of the two are different, which is interesting. Tahu's hand color is off, so I'm guessing it's because it's a prototype, and we get a small Gresh Blade, yay.

And if this is true, we'd get remakes of Takanuva, Skrall, Skakdi and Raaaahkshiii.

And seeing their apparent set numbers, that hopefully means they aren't so chibi. ._.

But chibi Rahkshi could be cute. *coughrahagacough*

Now I'm really sick, man. I was hoping for a canister Takanuva, not a chibi one!

Don't worry- look at the set numbers. Tahu and Gresh are the only impulses that we know of now. The others go on another string of numbers implying that these could be the giant Canister sets. We'll get a super Rahkshii and Taka

Greg has confirmed that we'll know of Mata Nui's original mission next year, so that means the storyline won't be dropped for the anniversary. But I'd like to see how they fit the chibis in......

I'm guessing it's a scale switch so that they could make bigger guys smaller, and therefore gigantic guys less gigantic- as in buildable.

I'm gonna make the best sea serpent if that's the case. :sweet:

If we're learning Mata Nui's true mission next year, doesn't that confirm that next year will conclude the entire MU arc? Mata Nui's mission and stuff like that was originally meant to be years and years down the track, along with the Red Star purpose thing.

The scale switch makes sense, and I'd love to see some of the big sets of next year be MOCed in their 2006-9 scale equivalent. If the sets are good that is.

If 2010 concludes the MU arc, I really really hope that TLC releases a UCS style SYSTEM Great Spirit. That thing would sell to non-BIONICLE fans too, because it's a giant robot with awesome designs anyway. A 1 meter tall model would be amazing.

So, the tenth anniversary rumors were true.

I am guessing we are getting these "Stars" for the beggining to celebrate 10 years, while the summer sets focus on the 5th movie and Mata Nui's quest.

By the way, I also think Ackar, Kiina, and Mata Nui will not be re-released, and instead 2010 summer characters will be new or just the villains they face. Would be like 2003.

And the new sets are... weird. Small sets? What? TAHU?! Oh well, not too big of a difference for him, seeing as Mata Tahu is pretty much the same size as an Agori.

Small sets that are a tribute to older sets even.

His hand is normal, he just has an old school Nuva shoulder armor on the bottom.

Anyone else curious about mini Gresh's apparently new armor? looks pretty sweet. And Tahu has new arm pieces I believe (possible elbows)! :D I'm actually kinda excited about next year lol and nervous because it could turn out really poorly if not done right :\

See this is the problem. You guys will eat up anything. Why not wait until official word comes out or something?

To me it is just a green set and a red set. I don't believe it is Tahu nor Gresh, cuz honestly I think the list is total megablocks.

These are reasons Tilius made up the fake sets in the past. Cuz you guys eat it up so quickly.

That site is selling Bionicle sets, ergo they do have the retailers catalogue, so they have no need to photoshop anything, nor forge the set list...I don

Because it's just that easy to photoshop believable set images for the entire LEGO lineup of summer 2010, complete with new box designs, gimmicky concepts and a believable premise to justify the sets, and then to distribute rumors and fake set lists to multiple independent sources, including reputable sources such as Amazon and even a Legoland site.

It would be nice if you stopped calling the fake card - while the second half of Tilius' list could still be fake, the first list and these pictures are definitely real. :classic:
