These are reasons Tilius made up the fake sets in the past. Cuz you guys eat it up so quickly.

-Omi

He's right, you know.

Personally, though, I'm inclined to believe these are real sets, given the source. And because I want the original Hau back. Although the 10th anniversary is 2011, it wouldn't be too much of a push to do something of a two-year-long 10th anniversary, in order to release as many 'best of' sets as possible. Or maybe Makuta comes to Bara Magna, and shrinks down the Toa and Glatorian in a Metru-Matoran>Tohunga style transformation.

I really can't tell . . .

It looks like some type of object with three protrusions at the front/bottom. It kinda looks like the Thornatus, actually . . . A golden, presumably miniature Thornatus? o_O

My reaction to the prelimages: "LOL! What! No way! They can't be serious! LOL!"

And then I looked closer and saw that Tahu's got -- get this -- a TNG Av-Matoran head. Ew. That is so wrong. We never want to see that piece again, LEGO. Never. At least not as an actual head on a guy that's not supposed to be a friggin' hunchback.

Good thing I'm not obligated to buy it.

Wait, I may have an idea how they could fit this anniversary theme into actual story.

The anniversary figures exist in Vezon's alternate dimension from RoS. Therefore these sets can be released without any real effect on the actual story, and Vezon can be rereleased next year!

(This is assuming 'BIONICLE Stars" are still a side-branch of the main figures for 2010. If it's not, then I've got no clue how this could work. >_>)

I think it is a mini thornatus too. I'm guessing that like l said before, all the sets have a gold bonus, like the clear sparkly Avohkii that came with the 2003 Taknuva. That would make sense, each object would be like a token for the year in the story. I hope that they don't mark the price up because of the bonuses. I also doubt that collectibles are back, because the Hau would be on all the sets. I think there is interest in the past years of BIONICLE, I know a younger fan (I got him started in BIONICLE), who likes the story and has more 2001-2004 sets than me (ebay FTW). All I can say is this is the best marketing decision LEGO has made since picking up the Batphone and calling Advance to create BIONICLE.

Oh man, if Bionicle does that to the story, that'd be irksome, to say the least,

"Hey guise, it's the 10th year so we're going to move to a pointless universe where the story doesn't really affect what's been going on for the last 9 years, just so we can get characters together,"

And I'm not sue about the Gold Hau at all, I think I'll wait for clearer pics on that. ._.

Zoom in on a good image editor, you'll see it for sure.

svetlega.cz equals legoland.cz equals some stupid site that has nothing to do with TLC or Legoland, and show materials that are marked confidential.

They don't have any catalog because the catalog has not been released.

When I first saw the leaked names, I was rather skeptical about them, and I sure would sure like to be that way. However, the images we got look real, and I'm fairly convinced of their legitimacy.

The problem is... they're absolute crap! Seriously, chibis? What are you thinking TLC - are you seriously going to throw out the storyline just to release a few new Av-Matoran sets with the masks and tools of old characters? This is rubbish, and I truly wish these images are fake.

Lego.

Lego, Lego, Lego.

In the year of 2010, you have sets without knees? Remakes of some of your best?

The canister sets sure as hell had better be superior, or I don't think I'll ever come back to Bionicle.

So then they either had some other method of obtaining these images, or else they're fakes?

@ the gold thing on Gresh's: could it be a mini Click? Because when I first saw it I thought of the Visorak figures. and it would make a lot more sense.

I wouldn't mind it if these were real. Chibi Gresh would make a perfect version of how he looked in his younger days during the Core War. And a plus-rod Hau is too droolworthy to think about. :D

And I hope we get a Chibi Skrall too. He could be a young Skrall found by Mats, tamed, and used by the Glats to infiltrate the Skrall. They could name him Skrallup. :'D

OK Front, You simply cannot trick us, for a start...

1. The original list we got from Amazon backs-up these pictures.

2. Then Wikipedia told us it would be called Bionicle Stars.

3. Also it seems the stuff about more small sets, and a new Click set (The Golden Click in Gresh) was true.

This means that all the info a few of you have written off (Including the pictures) was right all along.

Also Front, why would TLG change the times it gives out the Book? Last year we had pictures in sooner then this.

Hello I'm God Iron, it's simply nice to meet you.

This might be interesting - except that we don't know whether the inhabitants of Bara Magna grow over time, or whether they age in another way. Who says Glatorian aren't just born full size?

And besides, that still doesn't solve the problem that TLC is using the Av-Matoran build for the third year in a row. Seriously, this is getting old - in 2008 it was already boring, in 2009 it was only made somewhat okay by the wealth of colors and elemental themes, but now it's just redundant and completely uninteresting. :sadnew:

Front hasn't denied the pics or set list.

Welcome to EB! :sweet:

This is LEGO, we can make our own story rules! =P

I for one love the idea of a plus-rod Hau, and I wouldn't mind if these were real--if they were quality sets.

This chibi-version crap of favorite heroes is just not going to cut it.

Thanks for the welcome. :cry_happy:

True, Front hasn't said anything, but he is trying to sow some seeds of confusion into this.

Anyway that's not important. What is important is my useless opinion on these images and info.

Tahu: It can easily be Tahu with the Hau and Flame sword I hope it uses Glatorian heads though. The Av ones make me feel queasy. I'm looking forward to getting this. Tahu was the only Toa Mata I didn't have as a kid... :cry_sad:

He's not really 'Chibi' though. He's probably about the same size. The Golden Hau is a perfect choice of 01. I hope it can actually be used as Tahu's mask.

Gresh: A small version of a set I can buy in a store now. I feel indifferent toward this, but the Golden Click is another perfect choice for the collectable.

Overall: I'm excited to see the other sets and I'm glad they have bought collectables back in the form of these golden items. I'm sure it will promote kids to get all the sets.

Well, Tahu Mata and Nuva are probably about the same size. And I don't think they had any other option than to release them as small sets. =/

Yeah, I know that sounded weird, but when I meant "born full size" I didn't mean in the natural human way. I'm kind of thinking more of a mystical energy creation way rather than natural birth - which BTW is something that I'm incorporating in my bionicle-style epic series.

I like it, though I'd say it fits the MU better; Bara Magnans seem to be rather natural organisms, though of course their 'natural' may be totally different from ours. I just don't hope Gresh wasn't born with that spiky armor...

I'll stop before I get banned here too.

There really is Click and Golden Hau there...good eye! These could make the sets a little bit better. :D

Because it's just that easy to photoshop believable set images for the entire LEGO lineup of summer 2010, complete with new box designs, gimmicky concepts and a believable premise to justify the sets, and then to distribute rumors and fake set lists to multiple independent sources, including reputable sources such as Amazon and even a Legoland site.

Yes it is. It has been done before. I have recieved reports for them. In regards to Amazon, they have ducked up in the past in regards to having incorrect information. And in regards to that legoland site, Front covered that:

svetlega.cz equals legoland.cz equals some stupid site that has nothing to do with TLC or Legoland, and show materials that are marked confidential.

They don't have any catalog because the catalog has not been released.

It would be nice if you stopped calling the fake card - while the second half of Tilius' list could still be fake, the first list and these pictures are definitely real. :classic:

Would be nice if you guys stop playing the truth card. Nothing is confirmed, nor denied. However is it confirmed that the catalog isn't released. With that, anything should be taken as a grain of salt until better info comes along. You guys are trying your best at proving something right when you have little to no evidence whatsoever with no official source backing you.

I highly doubt these things are as "Chibi" as everyone keeps saying. When you think about it, the original Tahu was roughly the size of an Agori/Av-Matoran, and if we get bending arms/legs they will be even taller. The Legend Reborn has several shots of Agori standing up next to Glatoran and being much closer in height to them than one would think.

Anyway, if these sets are legit, I'm buying them like hotcakes. I'd love cheaper versions of characters with updated articulation or new body styles. That would be awesome!

Oh, and Omi- if they aren't real, they aren't real. If they are, they are. You have a right to be skeptical, but for now, lets just discuss and be merry and thin of the possibilities instead of trying to prove people wrong. :)
