iLego94 Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Except FAR more Bionicle-compatible and with cool usable parts Yeah, I just meant the overall look, I have most of the Galidor sets, they are really hard to MOC with :(
ShaddowCroc Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Hey, since the purported death of BIONICLE is causing a lot of alarm for some of us, I say someone should message Bink or even Front and ask them if next year will be the last. (Don't ask Greg though. He'll definitely say he can't discuss any future plans. Bink is vaguely more open about stuff like that though.)
Siegfried Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 OK. This conversation is going downhill. Please try to not get into silly debates and also, please note that I don't find smarty-pants swearing very amusing.
-MZ- Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Well, I have to say that I love the Winter '10 sets. Won't be buying them, but I approve (never really disliked that Av-Matoran build anyway, people like to freak out over that for some reason).

I highly doubt it would be, the only change that we have evidence of is that the story team wanted to finish the MU saga for good. It just seems that the deal that LEGO made with Cartoon Network included temporarily removing the BIONICLE canisters to prevent competition in the easily-buildable-action figure department of LEGO. Ben 10 ony has so many buildable characters, and the license won't last for ever, so I doubt proper BIONICLE canisters will be gone for long.
Relicflux Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Ok i have some information i found that i will tell you all. Information On this site BZPower there is news about new bionicle sets known as 'bionicle stars'. Information On this site Boris Bricks is a blog that states the so called names of the 2010 bionicles. Now those names are the names of the new bionicle stars mentioned on BZPower, and the names mentioned at the start of this forum. This means the bionicle stars could be part of the 2010 storyline but many people believe they are only promos or a spin-off. They are much smaller than normal and are hard to believe to be the next year of bionicle.

Second, that's what we've been discussing in so many pages for so many days now.
Tyranide Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 BIONICLE cannot be stopped! And even if the line will be cancelled, it will happen only if 2011, AFTER LEGO get Ben10 sales numbers. Please, stop, you're hurting me. *Sad Face* Galidor didn't kill BIONICLE (they were released in the same time, or am I imagining things?). Nothing can kill this line. Maybe stop it for some time... it's a good idea for me - what about, say, a year without BIONICLE?

And trust me, there's no way LEGO Ben 10 can outdo BIONICLE. Never will.
ShaddowCroc Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 If they do plan to kill BIONICLE next year, I think they'll change their plans. The BIONICLE Stars look like they'll sell incredibly well to both older fans and the newer fans. So hopefully they'll change their minds about axing BIONICLE if they sell well, since as Greg has beaten into our impressionable minds a thousand times; the survival of a line depends on it's sale numbers.

Nightmare Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 One thing I can tell you is that Ben-10 has nothing at all to do with BIONICLE 2010. BIONICLE has sets out in January, so does Ben-10, and there are no plans for Ben-10 to become a replacement for BIONICLE. Ben-10 is aimed at a completely different audience -- age 5 and up. http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?act...amp;pid=6345258 Better calm down, eh? :D
tao07 Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?act...amp;pid=6345258Better calm down, eh? :D What worries me is that, still, no confirmation if BIONICLE will end next year
Brickthing Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?act...amp;pid=6345258Better calm down, eh? :D Ben-10 is a licenced line, so LEGO can only continue making Ben 10 sets with Cartoon Network's approval. They're not going to irresponsibly risk their share in the action figure market by axing BIONICLE in favour of Ben 10, which isn't an indefinite theme like BIONICLE. So Ben 10 isn't going to replace BIONICLE like Greg said, but it is putting BIONICLE on 'standby' until the summer, because the short run of Ben 10 sets will make LEGO more money than one wave of BIONICLE canisters. What Greg said about the target audience seems wrong though - it may be catering for a slightly younger audience, but the majority of the audience will be action-figure-loving 7-10 year olds, who are the main buyers of BIONICLE, hence the current lack of big canister sets.

A year without Bionicle sounds really nice, actually... it would give me a chance to catch up on older sets I missed. what? *throws himself from a cliff* Never!!!!!!!!!!!! A couple pages ago you were saying that you weren't getting any sets next year. O_o ~Bunda

O_o ~Bunda I was thinking the same thing, except with more recent sets. For some reason, the Lego aisle in my local Wal-Mart is getting smaller and smaller, with the summer sets just popping up (a very odd occurrence indeed. I would usually have seen them ages ago)
80 Dollar Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 The images from svetlega.cz are gone...someone probably complained, so they took them down. I actually saw that one of those images from another theme were taken directly from some kind of a catalogue, so it´s probably out, maybe we´ll finally find out whether there are any canisters and titans or not.
Tyranide Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 A year without Bionicle sounds really nice, actually... it would give me a chance to catch up on older sets I missed. Exactly what I meant, really. Also, if there won't be any canisters, that'll be also very good - I'll be able to get all Stars, which doesn't usually happen. Hell, I need to decide what to collect at last... Got a word that the catalogue CAN be available this week. Well, we'll see later.

I have a feeling that something huge is gonna be happening with Bionicle as a whole in 2010. Only time will tell whether that/those thing/s will be good or bad.

The Alchemyst Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 What the hell is going on with people saying "OMG Bionicle is ending!"? Unless something absolutely crazy happens, such as some destruction of production plants, or some worldwide phenomena, Bionicle isn't going to end in 2010. Sounds like everyone in late 07 about 2008. ._. [-TA-]
